After owning the mark iv for a little longer and taking it out to some range trips, I’ve forgotten a better idea of how this firearm performs and a few upgrades I’ve done.

Let me know what knives you’ve carried for a long time!
Please tell me the exact model of that red dot. Thanks
As long as you white labeled the sides, you should also paint the Ruger label on the take down button.
Did you put a different screw in the front (the one thats not being used by your new reddot mount)?
@@MacD2029 no sir. The pistol comes with set screws on the holes. You need to take them out to use them. In this case, I left the front one on the gun since this mount does not use it
Yes meke a video oh how you do all the letters 👌🏻
CCI is the best way to go w Ruger's I've tried others and some don't even feed.
I closed one on my hand. As it was happening I knew I fucked up too. But it never happened again before or since
1/4 inch groups at 30 feet,,,Idoubt that!!!!!!
If I can't co-witness with the iron sights I want a quick detach feature to remove the optic in case that's needed. That means I would probably just use a picatinny rail with a holosun QD picatinny mount.
I’ve carried at 940 to work every day for years. Like you said not the salacious blade but a good work blade.
Whoa how did you color the letters on the metal?
Is that the TALO edition? Also you need to get the Tandemkross lower Kraken for it.
That’s awesome that they sent you a new knife because they couldn’t completely repair the old one and sent the old one back. 20+ year bench made collector just getting turned on spiderco. Thanks for the video.
I have had the Endura 4 (drop point blade, VG-10 steel) for 5 or 6 years now. Was out on the boat the other day and lost it, bought a new one next day (Endura 4, Wharnecliffe blade, K390 steel). Then I found my original one! Sweet! Now I have two. Overall best knife I have owned. I'm interested to see how I like the K390 steel and the Wharnecliffe blade; so far I like both better.
That's why they are so expensive. The Wave is worth some 50 $, but you pay 100 $ so if it breaks, you'll get a new one that you already paid for. It's as simple as that. I'd rather buy it cheaper without warranty because i know i never abuse it. It's me that is forced to pay for other people's abusement. I'd prefer a self service system with a lot of spare parts available, this way you could even modify it to match your needs. I could break a couple of tool every now and then and it would still be cheaper to repair than having that warranty. The warranty doesn't cover if you lose the multitool. In that case you'd wish they were cheaper.
Feel the same.
Does this cause failures? I want to run this mount but it feels like they mount it in a bad spot?
Not sure what you mean by a bad spot. Are you worried about the case hitting the mount during cycling? If so, it’s not an issue. The casings have never hit the mount on mine.
@@Cooldibs yeah that’s what I was wondering not that reliability is even a concern in these guns I’m just running a suppressor and it’s gets finicky after 500 rounds don’t wanna clear a jam every 3 rounds cause of the red dot lol
@@stirfry741I getcha! I have not had a single round come close to hitting that.
The Omega springs are a turn off for me.
I believe Benchmade will replace your blade for a small fee
Love what you have done to it. How do you do the white lettering and do you have a link for the new trigger?
Great idea replacing it yourself. You’ll make a springs or decently cheap for a pack and sure beats paying for shipping and insurance to send it back every time. Eventually you will have paid over the price of the knife just to send it in for repair.
I have this exact same pistol, blued and everything. And I bought two extra magazines for it.
I just broke my bottle opener today 🥵
Leatherman is outstanding. Glad they took care of you.
I just bought one of these. I should pick it up next week. I like how you did the white lettering. I’d like how
Thanks for the review! I never knew the MKIV blued lowers were all aluminum. With the shorter barrels, they may be better shooters, who knows lol...
You can dry-fire all Ruger Mk series pistols without concern of doing harm. Ruger even states this in the manual.
Yes, I just don’t like making it a habit because I own other 22s
That’s awesome! I have the Wave 1 & broke the stop tab on the serrated blade soon after I got the tool. I lived with it for 20 years. I think I’ll finally send it in to be repaired because of your testimony. 👍🏽
I’ve sent my wave and my surge back for warranty work. They came back like new. Leatherman is the best.
The holosun mou😢is awesome 😎!!!
Mount
Looks awesome!! I’m picking up my mark4 hunter this Friday.. how do like the red dot?? Holosun??
Really like it! Haven’t had to change the battery yet either. It’s the 407c X2
@@Cooldibs thanks dude!!!
I bought the lite the sights suck.
Nice touch with the labels. Did you use a laser? I have a Mark IV Target with picatinny rails. I want to put on a Holosun green dot but not sure what mount to get. What did you use? Thanks, Paul
I actually have a video showing how I did the labeling. The mount is a lobos industries mount. Easily the nicest mounts for a ruger 22 pistol. They offer them in all the different mounts available.
It’s basically the one folder to rule them all. Yes, plenty of folders have better steels, but they are more expensive and harder to sharpen. Yes, plenty of knives are more robust, but how often do you need to baton with a folder? Lots of folders do lots of things better, but the Endura is the ultimate in folding knives as general purpose utility tools that anyone can afford and maintain.
I had my springs break on my 940 & replaced them with some eBay ones and never had a issue. Even added a little tension to the lock. Sold my 940 and I regret it so much I just ordered another one yesterday. Gave up on Benchmade a long time ago except for the 940. Can’t live without one.
All axis locks have a little play. No worries there. I gave up on Benchmade a long time ago. Except for the 940. Can’t live without one.
I have the pacific salt version. Its my fav knife ever
The Butterfly tax is there for sure, but personally I think you feel it in the knife. It’s so smooth compared to other knives.
You pay for a lifetime warranty on every Benchmade knife because they'll take care of the knife for you for the life of the knife wether thats 5 years or 50 years. That is why Benchmade is King.
2012 Endura in ZDP189... And down the rabbit hole, I went. : ) Thanks for the video! 😎👍
If they break guess what send it back to benchmade and theyll put in brand new ones. No worries.
Yea, that gets annoying after 6 times….
@Cooldibs , If you're rocking your knife that hard, I highly recommend you get a Benchmade shootout because it's made to retract and doesn't have those Omega springs in it. I think the Benchmade Shootout is more of a knife for your heavy fidgeting and / or opening constantly needs.
@@trevorthomas1030 nah. Got some Etsy springs and haven’t had a problem since. Love the knife!
@Cooldibs , Can you do me a favor and let me know the link so I can pick up some of these awesome springs? Please and Thank You!
Nah, I won't put up with Benchmade and omega springs. I don't need my knife's locking mechanisms to require replacement at unpredictable intervals.
I just got one today for $70ish bucks, love it to death
Far before you picked it up, i swam in circles of emt , law enforcement, and street life. It may be dated and there might be improvements, but this is a true tool that will last.
I like spyderco but that knife is not nearly as strong as a cold steel.
True, but it’s also nowhere near as thick and heavy as a Cold Steel. That’s what makes this knife so amazing, the lightness and thinness for the size.
@@sigiligus cold steel code 4
I love my Wave tool! Thanks for your testimony.
Best knife ever created. They all say it doesn’t cut well cuts just fine to me
what tool set do you have
Everyday user here for 2 years still sharp and sturdy
The Glock of knives. It’s not the fanciest or exotic but it’s the one to get the job done.
I just got the glow in the dark endura 4 this week. Paid $60 with free shipping from a reputable eBay knife seller. Worth every penny. First spyderco, and likely won’t be buying anymore benchmade after having this in hand over the week. Think I’ll be buying the PM3 in a few days to replace my bugout.
Can you provide a link to the knife/seller? I’m not finding anything like that for less than $100.
Question: can I take out the stop pin and put it back in with a different "side" facing the blade? I ask because I batoned with the blade and put a little ding in the stop pin. Now my blade has a bit of up/down play. I'd like to rotate the pin with the non-dinged side facing the blade.
Absolutely, it’s not located since it’s a round cut end so you can rotate it whichever way you want.
Thanks a lot for the video mine was so dirty it was getting hard to open you helped fix my problem
