Funny was just going through my subscriptions last night when I seen yours was thinking when is he going to post another vid on the truck. I see you made some big progress on it looking forward to seeing it running👍
To install 9427692 lube plug, how did you the get solid plug out ? I couldn’t see in ur video. It looks like it squeezed out by forcing it with - drive
Did you have any troubles with the holes at the 12 o’clock and 6 o clock leaking transmission fluid? Mine leak heavy and wondering if you plugged those holes and if so how you did
@@LonniesGarage I bought a stock mount for a 4L80e transfer case and it ain’t gonna work unless I go to the scrap yard and find a 4l80e cross member and make it work.

@@LonniesGarage Weird, I’ll have to double check that adapter make sure it’s right. I have a 4x4 4l80e and it’s the adapter that was on it. Thanks for the quick reply.
Question. Guys, I'm gonna order the new modern 4l80e from chevrolet..my square body 78 is 4x4.. can this transfer case match up.. I. Doing the full ls swap plug and play.. don't know how the 4x4 will work
Why would a 4l80e Trans shaft fit in a 208. A 208 was designed for a turbo 400 as far as the one I had in my truck. The 700r4 was the common granny used in the early to late 80s. They are known to break as they had aluminum drums.
@@LonniesGarage both have 32 spine shafts, so a transfer case that worked with a TH400 should work with 4L80. from what I have read you need to either use an adapter or change the 2WD tranny output to a shorter 4x4 shaft, then apparently no adapter is needed and maybe driveline shafts wont need to modified?
hi, another guy on here changed out the 2WD tranny tailshaft to a shorter 4WD shaft and didnt need an adapter. so is it the same as you did only using an adapter? would doing it his way eliminate lenghtening/shortening driveshafts?
@@LonniesGarage Cool, so to be sure I'm clear, you are saying that his way works without the need for an adapter? I ask because I have an opportunity to buy a used 2WD for $225. .

Been a while but glad to see another up date on this project it will be a nice truck when finished 👍
Lookin good. I'm just now getting to put my 5.3 in my c10. Lots of info from your videos and references. Thanks for the motivation lol
Thanks for watching. Good luck with your project.

Yeah been kinda hectic lately. Thanks for watching and sticking with me.
What are you doing for vss signal
The two wheel drive 4L80E transmissions have the VSS signal in the transmission itself. It has two sensors on it.
Did you use and sealant on that plug for the breather? If so what did you use?

Tejas Steel Works mounts, Speed Engineering Long Tube LS C10 1 7/8” headers, stock crossmember, stock truck pan on oil pan.

My question is which mount did you bolt your transfer case adapter to? What bolts to the cross member to bolt to your adapter?
Stock mount

What year transmission is that and where can I find the adapter at?

which crossmember do you use?
I used stock one
Did you run into some vss problems
I haven’t gotten that far yet.
How can I get a 4x4 4l80e to a np208? Do they make a adapter for it?
They should have one. Google may have something on it
