    But isn't the 241c a left hand drop? How did you turn it into a right hand drop?

    • @TanTinPerformance
      @TanTinPerformance  24 дня назад +1

      They made a right hand 241 in the last suburbans and blazers

    Question. I want to run a LS III 5.3 to a 4l60 to a np208 in a 74 K2500. But no computer on the 4l60. I’ll manually shift that. My cross member is different on the tranny so is the xfer case because I have a 205. Do you see any issues with running this setup?

    • @TanTinPerformance
      @TanTinPerformance  3 года назад +1

      You should be fine with a 700r4/208 crossmember.

      @pmotorsports8276 3 года назад

      Yes 4L60E is an electronic version of 700-R4. Just use the 700-R4. If you're not going fuel injection.

    I have a complete parts truck 2002 2500hd 6.0 going into a 1991 k5 gmc jimmy , is it better to use my original transfer case from the k5 or just use everything from the la drivetrain

    • @TanTinPerformance
      @TanTinPerformance  3 года назад +2

      Well the 2002 will have a driver side drop transfercase and your k5 will have a passenger side drop so your front drive shaft with be on the wrong side so the transfercase from your k5 will be the best route, if you are using the 4l80 you will have to change input shafts on your k5s transfercase to be the right spline count

    • @Bmotors786
      @Bmotors786 3 года назад

      @@TanTinPerformance I did find a older Ford 1 ton front that had the diff on the driver side would that be good idea to use that and keep the 4l80 transfer case

    • @TanTinPerformance

      @@Bmotors786 that is a option. Is the 2002 a floor shift? If it is I’d use it, be worth having the heavier front axle

      @@TanTinPerformance yes the transfer case is floor shift, 👍🏽 thanks for the advise I appreciate it hopefully the axle is still available

    Hey , is this TC PASSENGER SIDE SHAFT ?

  • @tetfemal03

    So in theory, if I was running a 4l80e, I would just use a NP241c from a 3/4 ton OBS?

    • @TanTinPerformance
      @TanTinPerformance  3 года назад

      Obs trucks use a driver side drop not a passenger side drop so you would need a different front axle but it would bolt up

    do you have the part number for the stock 4l60e 4x4 adapter?

  • @Keeterbob
    @Keeterbob 4 года назад

    So the 4l60 not the 4l60e doesn’t use any electronics to operate. I’m doing a LS 5.3 swap in a 86 K5 and don’t want any electronics other the the MSD 6014.

    • @TanTinPerformance
      @TanTinPerformance  4 года назад

      Keeterbob the 4l60 non e is pretty much a 700r4, you will need a crank adapter because the old 4l60 has a sbc bell house spacing

  • @nicklivingston8197
    @nicklivingston8197 4 года назад

    Did you get this installed yet? And did you get the speed sensor on the 241 to work properly? I’m just starting a 5.3/4L60e/NP 241c in a 79 4x4 and I’m trying to get this all figured out up front. From what I understand there is a problem with 4 Lo and the computer not understanding the speed. Any advice?

    • @TanTinPerformance
      @TanTinPerformance  4 года назад

      I sold the project before I got it done, but I do know that the ls pcm has a input for 4 low to tell the pcm that your in 4low and it calculates for the the reduction.

    • @LSswapGarage1
      @LSswapGarage1 3 года назад +1

      You just have to ground the input into the PCM for it to recognize the transfer case is in 4 low. You can do it with a toggle switch if you want too... or try and make micro switches work with the shifter.

      @@LSswapGarage1 and a few transfers have switches for low 4 wheel drive lights that work good for that

      It a stock crossmember from a 85 k10 pickup that came with a 700r4, there almost all the same with the 700r4 and there pretty easy to find in a yard
