I'm so accustomed to seeing 350 and 370s with bodykits, wheels and brake upgrades that the new one just looks so plain. Can't wait to see what the aftermarket has in store as people begin to customize these and make them look more unique.

Nissan really did a great job. As high performance as possible and as cheap as possible.

I’m getting one if it ever comes to the uk - I’m categorising it as a ‘budget 911’ car. -plenty of lineage and history, sports car, years of perfecting the formula, subjectively cool design and plenty modern for reliability and modern comforts

I still remember my mods had twin popchargers from JWT, nismo 555cc injectors, JWT eprom chip, Z1 driveshaft, Hicas removal kit, custom top speed exhaust, MBC, and stillen intercoolers. I still think the z32 is one of the best Z out there. I’ve owned three 350z (de) and a couple of g37 coupes and sedan as well as the q50 (vhr) I love my q60rs400 now and can’t wait to get my hands on the new Z. Most modern cars that have a 'Traction off' feature usually have a hidden function to completely turn it off: In most cars you usually have to simply hold down the Traction off button for about 8 seconds and it should show something regarding "Advanced traction off" on the display cluster. If that is not the way to do it, a simple google search should do it or even looking in the car's manual.

I'm a 2-time VQ owner. If my assumption is correct, then the new Z also has the same TSC setup as the G37/370Z. You CAN turn TSC off, but there's a kind of "hidden" yaw sensor control hidden in the console (easily bypassed).

I'm impressed with it, but I still think the Supra just looks better and seems higher-end, as is reflected in the price. I think it's a car that clearly carries on the Z line quite well and IMO is quite beautiful and at a pretty low cost, for what you are getting. In an age dominated by slab sided bricks with cartoonish grills pasted to them, this is a rather elegant design, and very refreshing. You can see that the designers actually thought about things and about the "Z-ness". I had a 350z in Silverstone with burnt orange interior, and boy did that thing turn heads when it was new, no Pep Boys plastic body kit needed. I think this will do the same. It has enough interesting elements on it to be different, but it's not overdone like the Supra is. I think you would like the Supra design for a while but then it would start to be wear. This looks like more of a timeless design, in my eyes. I only wish they had put a proper DCT in it for the "automatic" option, even at a slightly higher price point. That said, some autos, like the ZF I have in my M240i are really quick in response, so I hope this one does well---or you can always just get the manual. Great video as always! Love the POV drives. They really give a good sense of what the vehicles are like in real world conditions.

For 50k, it almost doesn't make sense, there are too many cars for the same price. But for 40k... Almost an ultimate option, a real supercar for every day! With a manual transmission!

(Edit): Not hating on the car itself, it's beautiful, the styling and sound is really lovely.
16:00 makes me a bit sad... that's a lot of assistance. I hope there's a way to turn that all off. IMO, one of the greatest feelings of driving a manual car is having to be precise, the connection to the machine. These assists make it feel like you don't have to learn, there's a loss of finesse and personal pride in skill.
I keep buying older cars or enjoying them more, since it feels like a more pure driving experience. Also why I got into motorcycles- they are simpler and require more skill, so it's more rewarding when you do it right and know you're good. I'm a millennial, so I'm going to throw this phrase out there, knowing I'll get some hate (which I don't care about, I'm not reading any replies):
Modern manuals with all their assists feel like the car world's version of a participation trophy.
