I’ve had this same dryer since 2012 and I’ve replaced the heating element, thermostat and thermal fuse multiple times. There is no need to disassemble it to this extent to replace those parts. You can remove the front with the door still attached. The heating element sits on a bracket. Remove the screws securing the element to the bracket then remove the screws securing the bracket to the base of the dryer then the whole thing will come out.
Excellent video. You don't have to remove the drum, fortunately. Just unscrew the heating element and it comes right out. It's a good idea to organize all the different screws you remove to take off the covers, including with pictures on your phone, and notes in individual sandwich bags, in order to not forget lose the screws and/or forget which screws go where.
Thank you for posting this video! I have the exact same dryer. We got it used and only had it for a little over a month before the heating coil went out. I was able to order the kit you showed and follow your video, pausing when I needed to. Now we have a fully functioning dryer again! Thanks so much!!
I’m guessing the parts are the best. That kit comes with all the replacement parts but all aren’t bad every time. So I’ve had to take apart again since this video and replaced 1 of the sensors. I’m glad you’re back and running!
Thank for posting this video. I have the exact same dryer. Followed your video instructions to a tee. Saved so much money. Thanks again, have a good day sir
Our Kenmore dryer is drying. The problem is the temperature seems to be the same regardless of setting. Is that the thermostat that needs to be replaced?

Great post, only thing is I can’t figure out how to remove the drum 🥁 and not sure about the point about the ground wire in the heating element
Success! Thanks for the video.
12:14 rum and coke?
Is this the only way to get into the heating element?
I believe so because the drum is in the way to replace it..you would be able to get to the balists or use any tools
And if so,do you have to remove the drum to get to it?

I’m not sure about that.
