I had the same problem. Dryer stopped working. I followed everything you did and today I had it running again. All for $29.95. You helped me save money too.
Great video! I just used what I learned in your video to repair my own Samsung dryer. I have 2 suggestions for what I found helpful when repairing my dryer: 1. Wear gloves. The metal edges inside of the dryer are very sharp. I wore mechanics-style gloves because they are sturdy and not too bulky. 2. I removed the duct where the lint screen is inserted and I found A LOT of trapped lint that I was able to vacuum out. The area I am referencing is visible at around 3:47 in the video on the left side of the screen. Three screws and it will slide out easily. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for this video. I have replaced this part before but it’s been years. When the dryer went out this week, I knew I could fix it but this was super helpful in making sure I didn’t miss any steps.
Note that when you go to remove the door panel… watch your wrist. The sheet metal is sharp. Got a superficial slice on wrist. Protect your fingers and wrist.
I was able to repair my dryer, thank you for the video. As everyone says be careful of your hands and wrists. I cut both my wrists trying to do this. Is it normal to smell a little burnt at the first use? There’s no more burnt smell afterwards
I clicked the link in your video but the part number doesn’t show it fits model DV218AEW/XAA. Can you confirm the the part number in your link fits? Thank you.
Same dryer same problem. After watching your video I was able to fix this myself. Just wanted to say thanks!
