Heating element went out on our dryer, your video not only helped me take the dryer apart, but also helped me diagnose the heating element was bad. I saved this video to come back to when the new element came in a week later in case I got lost and it helped tremendously!
Best video explaining great w all excellent details on everything. Thank you for your patience and hard work you’re definitely trying to help others. God bless you so much!
I greatly appreciate your help, everything in this video was explained perfectly! I just made these repairs today and this video made everything move 100x smoother! Thanks again!
Thanks for your help. Took me about an hour and a half total to disassemble, replace the element, and reassemble. Putting the belt back on was the hardest part.
Thank you. This video was super helpful. The only thing that gave me problems was putting the belt back on, because I had to check several times how it went.
Excellent video, did everything like you said, very helpful, my heating element was bad, changed it,put the new 1 in and it worked for 1 minute than shut off...any help?? It did get hot and than shut off...appreciate you
Great video, wish I had found it years ago, but I see it only came out 8 months ago. What took you so long? lol Why do are the Samsung's so notorious for blowing heating elements? We replace ours about every 6 months or so. I was just looking to see if there is something else bad that keeps causing it to blow? It was more often than that, but then we redid the ventilation. The previous owners had this LONG round about path for the vent, down into the basement, around various pipes, then finally outside. I ended up putting a new hole in the laundry room wall and venting it directly out. Before it had about 6' to go, now it is less then 2'. I saw one other video talking about a relay in the control board, but it was for one of the newer versions that matches the front load washers. Now sure if this model has the same thing or not.
Do yourselves a big favor and get three permanent markers (red blue black) for the heating element assembly: simply mark the assembly connectors, by color, and take a quick photo before you unplug them. Then CLEAN EVERYTHING while you're inside the dryer with a light brush, taking care around critical wiring, and use a vacuum on the interior base. Having a plan for organizing the screws is also advisable. I use small plastic bags and tape them to the removed parts; magnetic trays can help. Also, at 05:50 you should unscrew & remove the 3" interior exhaust from the bottom back, which easily disconnects after removing only 1 screw and allows much easier access for when you need to put the belt back on.
I did exactly what you said and replace the entire heating element kit but now the side of my dryer is getting so hot it burns you to the touch and I'm wondering what's wrong. I've stopped using it because it seems excessive. Is it normal for the right side of the dryer to get so hot?
Loved this video and I had originally replace thermostat and element dryer still wouldn’t heat. Then I just saw your video about the thermal fuse and still not getting any heat. I’m stuck, the only thing I didn’t change was the plastic connector to the two connections for the heating element. Help 🙏🏼
Can you make sure your hearing elements is not grounding out against the metal casing? Use one prob of your multimeter on the heater terminal and the other other on the element housing (there should not be continuity). Yes I typically recommend replacing all the components that come with the heating element kit (thermal fuse, cutoff, and thermistor). Best of luck
So i was told my samsung dryer is not heating up because of the door switch.is that true.i pushed 2 buttons at the same time and a dc code came up.which is the door switch.everything else works on the dryer.i just have no heat.
I saw that code on mine. I just took out the heating element which I replaced a few years ago and it had burn the wire so I replaced it. This one is still good. continuity on all of the parts in it. Is this just the door Switch? whatever that hyperlink is you put on your reply it goes to some other page. btw
Another great video. When changing a heating element, it is a great time to vacuum out the dryer.

Great way of explaining by pausing, pointing which is which and doing the fast forward.

Thank you so much! This is the 2nd appliance you’ve helped me with!
Wow! That is awesome! Hopefully, the third time won't be for a while!

Why would the blue wire melt?
Does the dryer say cooling when you use it?
only towards the end of the cycle when it has turned the heating element off and cooling the cloth down
Thanks man. My stressed out brain didn’t even consider ohming out the components. Saved my ass!
Glad to help!
