My dad was given up for adoption because his birth mother cheated on her husband with my dad’s birth father. Years later right before I was born my dad located his birth mother and went to meet her (I have met her too and she was a sweet old lady. She passed away in 2010) but the lady didn’t remember the guy she had the affair with. She only told my dad his last name “Miller” and said he was a race car driver. So more than likely my dad will die and will never know who his father is. It’s really sad and one of the reasons I relate to Jon snow

Get your dad an Ancestry dna kit! I got my mom one. She was adopted in 1950 and she could not find any records of her birth mother, father, anyone. She did the kit and started finding cousins. Next thing she found was 2 half sisters!! So then she figured out the mom. She finally found her adoption papers and it only had a description of the father and where he had worked but no name. She was matched with some cousins and narrowed it down to 5 brothers, so one of the 5 was her dad. Well just recently, she got matched with a half sister, on her dads side this time! Now she knows who her dad is and found out she has 6 other half siblings, all of who are still alive. I think just knowing the history and WHO her parents were has brought her great peace and being an only child in her adopted home, it's a whole new world to find out she has 9 siblings!! Its so awesome the tech that can help people now days!

I think Jamie is overrated. What did he do?? We hear of him being such a good sword against who? He waits til Robert is gone and Ned's party is small. His problem with Ned is Bee's condemnation of him in the throneroom when Lannister flags were waving over KL after a sack that was uncalled for and Jamie is sitting on the throne. Jamie is too mealy mouthed to tell Ned what really happened. I do think Jamie admires and wants honor in a romanticized way. Brianne is the one who leads him to see he can be an honorable person but not without the consequences that all great leaders and persons of honor encounter. Not always popular to tell others what they don't want to hear. I find Jamie reprehensible but cuz he is good-looking easier for some to stomach.

We never get Lyanna's opinion of Rhaegar, do we? If it's in there and I've forgotten, nevermind, but if not, that's super interesting and even suggestive of her motivations in the affair. We get *literally everyone else's* opinion of Rhaegar, but not hers. But using deduction, knowing that she cited infidelity as her main reason for not digging Robert, we can probably eliminate "true love" as her interest in Rhaegar. He must have sold her on his interpretation of prophecy and her role in it. And if that's so, no doubt there were promises related to furthering desired outcomes that we don't yet know.
Littlefinger's involvement in Ned's downfall and his supposed obsession with Catelyn are clearly at odds. Yeah, bump off a rival doesn't seem like an unusual strategy, but obviously if he is openly associated with backstabbing Ned, Cat will eventually find out, and that's no way to her heart. I tend to assume that Baelish doesn't want Cat for his own. He was shamed by Brandon over her, and he holds a grudge over it, toward Ned as an extension of his brother, but also toward Catelyn. He just knows he can use that romantic narrative of the past as a front and an asset in the manipulation tool kit. The level of trust he is able to gain simply based on the assumption that he's devoted to Cat is pretty astonishing.

Uh no way Jon could have ever sat the Iron throne. This is book cannon you cannot get a marriage annulled without concent of the high Septom. Jon would have been seen as a bastard by almost all of the Kingdoms because (even if they had gotten married) his second marriage to Lyanna would have been seen as illegitimate.
Not to nitpick, but That line "next time I see you we'll talk about your mother" is a show only line.
Cat does not fear Jon's claim she fears his children's claim. If he got married his children would be true born and in the relatively same fuedal level as Robb and the other kids.
Lady Gray c'mon Brandon was a hoe but hoster wasn't a full especially after the Lysa little finger incident. There is zero evidence that Robb is Brandon's I think your dislike of Cat is bleeding into this theory. Just look at the timeline for Robbs birth. He couldn't be Brandon's son.
Also no one in this world is completely honorable everyone makes exceptions and does shady shit for their families and friends etc.
I think Bobby B has both Brian's and Balls. You can't offend Tywin. He has a ton of men in the city and I'm pretty sure he's closer to Kingslanding than the Stormlands. If Robert acts up then Tywin will be in that ass asap.

Crazy conspiracy theory with even paper thin evidence. Like you said @GrayArea Robb's daddy is 50-50 between Brandon and Ned, what if it is Brandon and even Ned knows it!? From the Bran chapter in Storm in which Meera tells the story of what we assume is the tourny at Harrenhal, she mentions that Ned was too shy to even ask Ashara for dance. So maybe Ned never had sex with Catelyn in what I recall being a fortnight between the wedding and before he went to the war. Thus even Ned knows that Robb isn't his son but one look at Robb and he knew Brandon was the father so for the love he had for his elder brother, he didn't say anything and raised Robb as his own (saving Catelyn from any dishonor as well) and that's why Catelyn fears about Jon's claim to Winterfell so damn much

I never thought Jaime needed to be redeemed.
What has he actually done wrong he needs redemption for?
    1) Killing King Aerys whom he was sworn to protect
    2) Pushing Bran out of the window
    3) Maybe this scene
But we all know why he behaved how he did in this scene, Lady Gray eben discussed it. And King Aerys he only killed because a) otherwise kings landing would burn and b) he had commanded him to slay Tywin, his father - he was basically condemned to become either kingslayer or kinslayer.
As for Bran, he did not know that Bran didn't understand what he saw, and if the twincest became public Cerseis life (and possibly that of his entire family) would be in danger. But if shit goes down and you have to decide between the love of your life or the child of strangers, what would you do?
So rather than a classic redemption arc it is more about redeeming him in our eyes, about revealing what really drives him and how motivations and circumstance can shine a different light on certain actions

    • @vvsJefe
      @vvsJefe 3 года назад +2

Jamie’s justification of his actions is bullshit. It’s like in the show when he tells Ned that stabbing Aerys felt like justice and Ned says, “is that what you tell yourself to sleep at night?”
I can’t believe how many people in the fan base accept Jamie’s explanation. He’s so full of shit. He just made the choice that would benefit him and his family the most. He didn’t care about the people of kings landing.

Rhaegar never cheated on Elia Martell. There a theory that he talk about to Elia about marry Lyanna as a second wife. Robert had bastard all over Westeros and Lyanna Stark knew he wouldn't stop even if he got marry. I think she is right look happened to Cersei.

  • @DD-ok2pt

    *THE SEED IS STRONG!!!*
Ned realises that all of Roberts bas'tards look like him.
    Who does Jon look like?
    Does Jon look like Rhaegar?
Does Jon have any Targaryen traits ie dragon dreams etc?
NO NO NO ergo Rhaegar is not Jon's father nor is Jon a Targaryen.
    Who does Jon look like?
Jon looks MORE STARK than the Stark children...
Ned Stark's children look more Tully than Stark but they all except Sansa (cuz she is not a Stark) have Stark traits ie they can warg and Bran is a green seer.
Jon's looks can be attributed to his mother Lyanna. Jon has no other influences from other bloodlines.
I've been ranting in these street for years now that I believe that Jon is born of incest. GRRM basically replays what has happened at Winterfell with the Jamie and Cersie... how much you wanna bet that the old broken keep was that place Lyanna liaised with her brother.
I think most readers belittle incest in the story as GRRM just being salacious ... but I think it is they key.
As with everything over time there have been mistakes and I think a HUGE mistake substituting:
"There is magic in kin*G*sblood" when it should be "There is magic in kin*S*blood."
This makes more sense as we see that the Targaryens rely on *kinSblood* to transfer their magic to their heirs.
(Won't go into it now but this would also explain why Craster had to produce sons born of *kinSblood* for the NightKing.)
At first, I thought Benjen was Jon's father but Ned's guilt now makes me believe that Brandon is Jon's father. This would explain his OTT reaction when he thought Lyanna was taken... which she was.
Ned's guilt is because he knows that both Jon and Rob are brothers and their father is Brandon. Ned is guilty because he lied that Jon AND Rob were his sons. What is interesting is that Bram and Rickon are Ned's only sons and both are powerful green seers (Rickon was more powerful, he did not need the 3ER to open his third eye) and Arya is a powerful warg. Which means that Ned is transferring some powerful magic to his children...
Here is what I think really happened. This is a battle that has been going on for millennia between two brothers, a bastard older brother and a "legit" younger brother. (Rhymes with Ramses story... the other Snow) The older brother is the Night King and the younger Bran the Builder. Jon and Bram are their reincarnated selves. The Night King was in a semi dead state stabbed in the heart like Jon and Bran the Builder was crippled like Bram is now.
The problem was that when the Children of the Forest stabbed OG Jon with dragon steel they hadn't accounted for him being born from magical kinSblood... therefore they inadvertently made him practically immortal. To make up for this the Children of the Forest helped Bran the Builder live multiple consecutive 2nd lives in the bodies of green seer Children and when they ran out of them they lured Blood Raven to their cave to use his green seer abilities while waiting for Bram to be born at Winterfell.
Both the OG Jon and Bran the Builder are waiting for a particular eclipse to make permanent their transfer into their new bodies. That was the clue in the show when Jon told Bran "You are man now" and Bran/Bran the Builder/3 Eyed Crow said "Not yet". He has taken "Our Bran's" body but the transfer is not yet complete.
Spoiler... the Night King was not killed... he not only got away but he also entered the weir wood network by being "shattered" under the Winterfell weir wood. How do you avoid being seen by an all seeing being like Bran/Bran the Builder/3 Eyed Crow? Easy by making sure he doesn't look for you. And why would he not? Because you were killed right in front of his eyes--- or so Bran thought.
The show totally showed how the Night King got away... remember he controls the dead. He is the opposite of Bran who can skin change into live bodies... whereas the Night King can skin change into dead bodies. The only noticeable difference is that their eyes turn blue. There was one character that keep referring to his BLUE EYES at one point he was almost killed because of his blue eyes and he was thought to be a wight.
    TORMUND!!!
The Night King slipped into Tormund's freshly dead body in the midst of the chaos and now he is going north with John.
Lastly, all this about Azor Ahai is BS!!! All of it was just stories to manipulate future events. Hundreds of years of propaganda and it works. People are not believing their own eyes _trying to make Azor Ahai happen_ . Even when all the facts are put forth we still hear OH BUT IT FITS WITH THE PROPHECY!!! ... and there you have it... toss what ever facts that don't fit the prophecy.
The battle for the Iron Throne has just been a distraction for what is really happening... Notice that King Bran put a thief in charge of the treasury ... peace was never his plan... but more chaos as he awaits the constellation to become permanent.
I think the only prophecy that was real was from Mirri Maz Dur about the Stallion who mounts the earth --- which I think will be Bran 2.0
The Night King is the "good" person because he is Jon and Jon is a good person. He has had to do horrible things to that feed into the propaganda against him... but the tide has turned.
