What an awesome couple of years Patricia had.
    2018 Escape from Dannemora
    2019 The Act
Two phenomenal performances she gave. If they were released in theaters, she would have won an Oscar for at least one of those films, especially for Escape from Dannemora.

It's just my opinion, but personally, I have ever felt (because of how well Patricia and Joey did on The Act) that Patricia Arquette and Joey King are the Karl Malden and Michael Douglas of today (Patricia being the Malden, Joey being the Douglas); the reason why I say this is because of the father-son relationship that Malden and Douglas enjoyed from 1972-76 on The Streets of San Francisco (ABC police procedural of the 70s; Richard Hatch was in for the final go from 1976-77), and I have ever felt that Patricia and Joey had a similar mother-daughter relationship on The Act as actresses.

I think it was because, even in a moment that was "all hers" she chose to mention her beautiful sister and the trans community and to advocate for trans rights no matter where she is. I think his "laughter" was more a smile that said "she's so amazing and there she goes again-always working for equal rights..."

    dear television academy:
fire the person that keeps hiring the commentators that speak after an actor wins. it's annoying as fuck, especially when they're about to come up and give a heartfelt speech about a recently deceased family member. just have them give us the info on the actor, the extra commentary is not needed.
    thx

Why is she saying her "sister" Alexis, when Alexis began presenting himself as a man when he got sick, and his own brother David stated that Alexis was gender curious and sometimes felt like a man or woman. So I don't know why she has to go on stage and carry-on about he was her sister when he was clearly living as a man.
