I was just about to message something similar. Also, DSP doesn't think about people who are not streamers that do work from home. They are able to work 9 to 5 with zoom call meetings and still be quiet enough for their household.

Him referring to his dents as a revolving door is really telling how he views people as expendable. Like he let that mask slip there is always another dent around the corner for him to exploit for his own gain and move on when they are used up to him.
I love how he mentions "laying down the law" this implies introducing someone to the consequences of their actions. yet when companies do it to him (Twitch) he seems to rebuke his own logic.

@@brandoniswhoiamseriously! I just spent more time than I am comfortable admitting trying to find a way to make those two words make sense together in any context, let alone the way he uses it. I think his pigroach brain believes that broker and merchant are the same, and is using thay wrong too.
If keemstar was making someone who feels miserable feel better by facilitating, or "brokering," a transfer of misery from that person to another, for money, that's the closest I can get.
A misery merchant would be closer to what I think he is trying to say, but even that is still a big stretch because you aren't selling the audience misery. You are pointing and laughing at a regard who did something unintentionally funny. Keemstar is more of a Schadenfreude merchant if I was going to attempt to define it.
DSP always asks his audience, specifically his pay pigs, what they want to see. This man is a walking contradiction.
He needs the feedback, dood!

I work just about the same hours Phil claims he does. Every weekend my wife and I get up at 7am and take a walk around the neighborhood.
We look forward to it. It’s some of the only time we get to spend together just as just a couple without any other interruptions or distractions

The way he manages to pignotize and find some sort of flawed logic to shutdown the simplest of suggestions is an incredible skill.
If Phil doesn’t want to take advice from his audience, that’s his decision. The problem is he can’t respond without being insulting and name calling. If he treated his fans with some actual respect, he probably wouldn’t chase so many away.
I find it more strange that he asks for feedback so much. Even if he were respectful it’s weird that he opens himself up to it only to shoot just about everything down. He’s aware in some way that he does need to improve *somewhere* but has put himself in a corner where he simultaneously thinks he’s perfectly fine as is. Seems more like a response to decline rather than an actual acknowledgement that he needs to do better

the one minute man arc is quite funny. He started out as a silent tipper dent then phil started playing a game he really liked and had some information on, so he started adding messages to his tips to try to get DSP to do stuff he wanted. And he did for a long time, but eventually he realized phil wasn't taking his advice seriously and the rant about Asterion probably made him finally realize DSP is kind of a stubborn asshole.
He doesn't deserve pity or anything though, he gave up his hard earned money to a man who obviously didn't deserve it so he gets to now regret his actions.
All this hot air just because he doesn't want to wake up at 7.

"You gotta lay down the law and if they don't appreciate it, then you just gotta say goodbye. This right here is one of Phil's big problems. He feels the need to put other people in their place all the time and talk down to them - even if it's ruining his content or even his business. He needs to impose control over others, which is something that's *hated* in today's internet.
As a Denmark-style enjoyer, Phil's streams start at the perfect time. I can laugh my ass off in the evening with his podcast when it starts at 8 and then I can ignore the awful gameplay that happens while I sleep and enjoy the hilarious detractor-style clips in the morning.

Dood, I work 12 hours a day, riding a lift, and first shift starts at 6:00am.. I work second shift 6pm-6am- still have my wife, and our two kids, I gotta be there for.

Tue whole schedule thing has to do with Phil's autism. I'm the father of autistic children, and believe me, schedule changes with autistic people are just about the worst thing you can do to them. I honestly feel that, mentally, if Phil tries changing his schedule, it would completely ruin him emotionally.
Unfortunately, he won't seek help for that because he doesn't believe anything is wrong with him.
Also, Phil, you don't have a family. You have a wife and a cat. You don't have kids. And you clearly have no responsibilities, seeing as you make Kat do all the household chores and that you can't even be bothered to fix a dishwasher to help make her job easier.

I mean, I am also what you'd call a night owl. But if I had to, I was able to wake up early. Heck, last year, we were at a conference and like you do at conferences, you go out at night. But due being unlucky, my bus taking me home couldn't drive through the street (there was a gas explosion), so I had to walk, which meant I was coming home at around 3-4 am. And next day, I went back to the conference which started at like 8:30, so I had to get up at 7 am as well. I am not expecting DSP to do that, but it's not hard to adjust your sleep schedule.
I wonder how many emails Philip has sent OMM begging him to come back.

28:30 he could also just consolidate his streams. Instead of doing 2 streams every day, do one stream with the podcast, gameplay (or whatever the main focus is), and then the Daily Board Meeting. Start at 9, go 6 hours...you're done at 3. Plenty of time to do other things, or spend time with your "family".

He had started using Twitch briefly at this point in time, but it didn't last very long and he wouldn't go back until 2016 when he would eventually commit to mainly streaming. And of course, you know the rest from there

He refuses to do members streams because of detractors. He won't do fan meet ups because of the detractors. He will never have another person on his streams, because of detractors. He actually plays games entirely out of spite, because he doesn't want to give detractors a win on calling a wage quit. He outright stated so with that one horror game he played last year and made a whole $30 the 2 streams it took to beat it. Only way fans are getting what they want is after years of begging, and then it will be the most half ass version of it possible they will receive.

I would like to approach an analysis of Phil as if this was a TV show. I like to think the stream chat represents DSP's thoughts. Mostly negative and against him. He only wants to recognize the thoughts praising him, but he knows those negative thoughts are there. Through this lens, when he changes his schedule based on what he wants and blames the chat, he is just talking to himself. He's not insulting actual people. He's insulting his thoughts for influencing him to do other things. His mind has rotted and all that's left is a man abused by his own thoughts

I think as always the issue really isn't the schedule, sure it might cut you off from some audiences but if he tried to edit his content they could watch the vids of the games he played (it's different from being on a stream sure, but that's bound to happen when you watch people in oher time zones), but the real issue is him ; sure he could stream more hours (his justification is quite bad like yeah Phil there is no inbetween 7 am and 10.45 sure) but there is no point, his content simply isn't attractive

I’m a chef my internal clock is set to be on while everyone is off and enjoying themselves. When I go out things are usually empty.

Using his mom-wife as an excuse to sleep in every day is a classic DSP move. Feigning responsibility and moral maturity while also claiming to be a helpless victim of circumstance who must keep living like a lazy, selfish man-baby forever. His entire barrage of excuses could be defeated by giving Kat a pair of earplugs (If I lived in the Snort Fort, I'd be wearing them 24/7). Real people with real jobs and real families to provide for get up before dawn every day. It's not supernatural.
And as a 45 yo, the only reason I am up at 2am is if I had to work the later shift. DSP is a child in an adult body, not even a man's body.
There's always a reason why Phil can't change something. DSP can sit there and talk himself into believing the worst excuses, then he thinks everyone else believes them too. This is the problem with talking to a camera everyday and little to no actual personal face to face interactions.
I hope you were there yesterday for the Itsagundam live stream. DSP was the ending content. Waiting on the DSP response for that. 😆
