Jimmy bower made down so different and unique... him bouncing around back there on drums ! He a a beat all of his own and it made down more tha just a southern sludge rock band. Jimmy's beast riffs on guitar for Eyehategod are some of the most legendary, swamp ridden, monster sabbathy riffs I've heard in my life. So underrated
I've actually gotten tore up with Phil twice. My best pal did a documentary on pentagram , we got to chill with phil backstage, played pool with pepper Keenan! Plus my band played with eyehategod a few times, jimmy bower is a dope assdude. An honor to have talked with em. Phil and I even had contacts trying to name old thrash and metal bands that either of us hadnt heard before . We tried stumping one anothers old ass knowledge hahaha. He is crazy and awesome for sure. He remembers his roots. I'm glad that last time we chilled, throwing old obscure metal bands at each other (I got him with Defiance and he had one or 2 I was clueless on haha)... I'm glad that time was when he cleaned up, he fought the good fight. Just green that night in philly. Down slayed
