Honestly if Jordan is just playing a character.he's the most professional actor I've ever seen.
He is lol
He broke quite a lot at the Italy special, like when they were driving in Tuscany and during the wine tasting part.
He is obviously exaggerating a little for TV but i think he is like this in general
@@Aryan-fo1ls "exaggerating a little" nah he's exaggerating a lot.
You could see behind the scenes footage where he acts perfectly normal lol
@@mikebazinga982 Depends on your definition of what 'perferctly normal' should be
I saw a tear on Jordan’s eye when they told the Karate kid secret
lolol
scripted but hilarious
@@GrinBx not scripted. Conan explains that they had already learned of his mistake with karate kid 2 prior to Japan and purposely brought him there just so he could show him the video. In the unedited video, Jordan is actually pissed off.
Radb707 he looked pretty pissed in the edited version too! Almost to the point of crying!
K8d
This is what I love most: Jordan must have mentioned this false karate kid 2 trivia in the past. The moment Conan learned Jordan was wrong about this, he arranged an entire trip to Japan just to destroy Jordan 🤣🤣🤣
Conan is a high key genius
Listen to his interviewwith Howard Stern where he came up with a fake award for Bill Cosby. Its gold.
On a recent podcast Jordan revealed how he felt in that moment, and that he didnt ultimately care about the trivia because it didnt take away his appreciation in japan.
No, in that moment he was actually dumb founded that Conan had taken this much effort to debunk his trivia, AND that he had held off for the entire trip.
What you see on that face is not sadness, its confusion and awe at conan's patience lol
But in the end, Jordan got to visit Japan, eat in some of the best places and enjoy the culture and activities. So who is a loser in the end?
Dude it's all part of the bit. Jordan is in character. And the editing of the videos adds to it.
I actually feel genuinely bad for Jordan.
A bigger kid just broke his firetruck. 🥺
He was a tool that whole time why you feel bad for him 😆
His “Japanese” fire truck built in Hawaii?? 🤣
@@Kinobambino hes not a tool, hes just passionate. He might even be autistic. leave him alone and let him live his life

hehehehe
underrated lol
Damn just noticed that...
Nice observation
If only he were ever as right about things as he thinks he is
Jordan is lecturing Conan on Japanese table etiquette yet he's very rudely waving his ohashi (chopsticks) around and picking up his dishes and smelling them . Love this bit.
So Katelyn Ohashi's last name means chopsticks?
@@pcbassoon3892 It all depends on how it's written in kanji. In Japanese, as in English and other languages, a word can have multiple meanings such as the examples of "train" or "fly", etc.
@@csgyoutubian5208 I read that in Jordan’s voice and now… I get it. Lol

The fact that he didn't break character the whole time is amazing. The Mach-io bit was hysterical
Maybe not in this video. Didn't you notice all the cuts they made? It wasn't shot in one continuous go. If it was, this video could have been 1 hour. And we do see Jordan cracking a smile here and there, on the verge of laughing, but they change camera angle etc, probably to retake/remove stuff.
It is edited.
@@iamironclaw He was kinda smiling when he was smelling the first dish
the full version is on YT, conan gets jordan to break several times lmao
There was no character to break.. they were being for real.. the full dinner was 1 hour and 11 mins on youtube and they really were goin at it, Jordan esp
I love how Jordan says he can respect how Ralph Machio pronounces his name only to continually call him by the incorrect pronunciation.
I think you're full of Shinto 🤣
MAKIO is the correct pronunciation in Italian and it is an Italian name. It is sad that Italian American do not know how to pronounce their Italian last names.
@@silverswx but... but... it's his name. Lol. His name. Not my name. Not your name. Not Italy's name. HIS NAME! I would think he would decide the pronunciation of his own name. Like, he IS still alive to correct us.
@@silverswx maybe someone called him machio when he was a kid... kinda like "macho" and it just stuck? Idk. Either way is all I'm saying.
@@silverswx well, thats the point I'm making. I have German ancestry, and my last name in Germany would sound different then the way I've pronounced it all my life. Conan is the first person in the history of the internet to use Ralph Machio as the delivery system for one of the sickest burns of all time. Well done Coco.
He had some sick burns in Cobra Kai, so RUclips was actually first.
"If you wanna get technical...I kicked his face"
If you really want to get technical, Jordan (a producer for the show) is in on the gag because it's just written entertainment. They're playing roles, just like Andy Kaufman did.
@@fartkerson maybe, maybe not. If he was in on it, he played it well.
@@xordus There's a compilation video of the times Jordan breaks character and spontaneously laughs when he should be deadpan. Jordan-san hentaidesune!
Always really, really, really enjoyed this duo but just now asking myself if they may infact be the best comedy duo ever, across a relatively much smaller sample than some other great duos. To their credit, I think there's an even higher potential to their comedy in the stuff we don't see, or that they're even funnier just naturally interacting without the edits or putting on a show for the camera, as much as that last part might diminish Conans driving these interactions in such a wild, showman fashion.
Anyway, like 99% of you weirdos watching these on repeat like me, I think these guys are just the funniest thing. Happy holidays, nerd. Stop reading and watch more Conan.

Conan and Jordan Schlansky is without a doubt one of the funniest bits of comedy I have seen in my lifetime.
I love Jordan so much. He should have his own show!
Jordan + Conan = Gold, as always
Definitely.
It should be noted that Jordan wasn't allowed to explain (or it was cut in editing) that the launch of his fascination with Japanese culture did not hinge on whether scenes were *_actually_* shot in Japan or were simply made to look like they were (although included in the edit was when he said he understood movies are make-believe at 05:58 - probably only because Conan cross-talked with his "you fraud" bit). Either way, KK2 attempted to convey Japanese culture, and it obviously resonated with Jordan. They edited it to look like Jordan was blindsided by a revelation that was not germane to his fascination (although it will likely cause him to do a little more research on similar things of his interest in the future). It was certainly Conan-funny and Jordan-awkward.

Considering the fact that Conan graduated with a degree in History at Harvard, I like to think that he actually researched the significance of this traditional tea ceremony beforehand and wrote this sketch as both an informative piece on Japanese cultures and traditions while simultaneously making it enjoyable to watch by subversing how it is usually done. If this was true, and I wholeheartedly believe it is, then this just proves just how much of a genius Conan really is in terms of being a comic and an academic.

I had a vegetarian version of this type of meal when I was staying at a Buddhist monastery in Japan, and it was weirdly one of the most memorable experiences of the trip.
The meal was a scheduled part of the package, we went to an assigned room at the monastery after a full day of exploring the mountain town and the whole meal arrangement was prepared and waiting for us.
It was a cold rainy night in November, and we ate sitting on the tatami floor of a modest private room, with the hum of a space heater in the corner. Afterward I took a hot bath and went to bed. That doesn’t really have anything to do with the video, but it just brought back a really good memory for me.
I had a faux pas with "Buddhists" before. Well, more than one.
One time, I was teaching English in the night shift for some insane reason(since then I lacked almost any free time). My "friend" dumped his students in my class, and I was drawing picturesof things with their names written on the board as well. I talked about chickens, and said that they're delicious. The "Buddhists" didn't eat meat.
Another time I threw my baby's clohtes over the head of a sitting lady ("Buddhist") to my ex-wife. I knew that even if I missed, and the clothes hit her head, it was just cute baby clothes, not any bit damaging, but the lady complaied afterwards to my feminazi ex-wife. Sheesh.
