3 body washes would normally be $27, but if you use my link bit.ly/nativekayharms5 and code KAYHARMS5 you’ll get them for $18 - that’s over 33% off! #AD
I am having my 70th birthday next week. Yes, I’ve tried denying the years. Then, I made the decision to use all the precious “things” I have been saving. Your tips are spot on! Life is good! Our God is great! What many blessings I have to enjoy. Thank you for your videos.
I am late enjoying this video, because I have had my granddaughter until late the past few nights. I LOVED this, Kay! Thank you for reminding us to enjoy the life we have been gifted, and all the ways we can do it! ❤❤❤
For the past 35 years my husband and I sit down with a glass of wine and a few ordeurves (sorry about my spelling) every Friday afternoon for our own "Happy Hour". Its a great time to talk about our week and upcoming weekend plans or whatever is on our heart. We have come to look forward to our special time on Fridays. I even see him dress for the occasion!! Thanks Kay for this special video. I have enjoyed it.
What a special video! Really enjoyed it. With everything going on in the world - and now war in Israel pointing more and more to the end times - we really do need to slow down, take time to make things special for us and our families. The Lord wants us to enjoy life and care for others. It’s nice to be reminded! Thank you!
If you like bergamot, Kay, you should grow the showy flower called Bee Balm. Monarda is the Latin name for it. Their leaves are what Earl Grey tea is made of and they are used in many cosmetics for their scent.
The one thing I can definitely do. We have back roads all around where I live. And some of the sights are very pretty. Coming home the other day there’s one spot that you are up high and can see the valley down below. I was looking to see if the trees were changing yet. They weren’t the then day. But I’m sure they will be soon. It’s finally cooling down here. My life is pretty east everyday. My husband and I are both retired. So we’re always together. Sometimes that’s not a great thing. He overthinks everything. And I don’t. I have no worries. And he worries about everything. So opposites do attract. We’ve been married for forty five years. I like some alone time. Because we live in the country we don’t have visitors. Like we did before we moved. And I kind of like that. I guess I’m becoming a hermit. But I like peace and quiet.
Romancing yourself. Good idea! Love it! I love my solitude. My tranquility. A positive sense of well being can go a long way. God’s world is so beautiful. Stop and enjoy it. I take pictures of the sunrise. It calms me and lets me appreciate the upcoming day.
Hi Kay I loved this ‘Romanticising yourself’ video today , it was so Beautiful and Elegant and Gracious , very much like you Lovely Lady . I loved your morning routine ❤️And I loved your beautiful table setting and how it brings so much pleasure , this took me back to 1985 when I left office work and before I went into nursing I got a job as a Healthcare at an Elderly Retirement Home for Elderly Gentlefolk , this is exactly what it said in the job ad , the Home was run by Nuns and they were wonderful to work for they also liked everything done properly , my last job of my day before I finished at 4pm was to set the Tea tables with beautiful China and cloth napkins and always some flowers or at least 1 bloom from the garden , I loved this time of the day , so Thank you Kay for bringing back that memory❤️ My morning routine is Exercise, then my prayer time , then meditation , once Im dressed and have an hour or so chatting with my husband and my herbal tea and water I then go for a 3 mile walk which always involves Nature. A couple of my treats include Beautiful notepaper/envelopes , every month my lovely Friend who was once my Boss and who now lives in the Convent in Ireland writes to me on beautiful notepaper and I do too to her , in this day of texting and emails its so lovely to receive a letter. One of my other treats is to use my china tea set once a month ( I got it for my 1st Wedding Anniversary 39 years ago) I set it all out for my fruit scone /clotted cream/jam and have my Cream Tea. One of the other things important to me is mine and my husbands Date Day every Sunday ❤️. So Thank You for all your beautiful tips Kay Xx
I LOVE the idea of making things excellent! Even if, as I do, you live alone. I enjoy decorating my home, and have been organizing my closets. It's so nice to open the closet and see things in order, and getting rid of the things we don't wear or use. I also think it would be great to bring back "letter writing", at least occaisionally.
I do quite a bit of your tips. The one thing I do everyday is make our bed. The last few months I get up and take my first med and then make my husband’s side of the bed. Since I have to wait an hour for my next med and to eat, I will do my “me time.” I get back in bed and check email, our local neighborhood Nextdoor site, FB and RUclips videos. Having half the bed done definitely encourages you to finish the bed. I will fix us a lunch and go to a park with our chairs and book. Us time but still doing individual choice reading. We also have a lot of back country roads where we live and do those quite often. Especially during COVID.
Dearest Kay, Your statement," The SWEETNESS of LIFE! and Making things EXCELLENT".... Love this concept!! This issue of Romanizing your life is SO needed. I would LOVE... for you to build and share more on each of these recommendations and continue to talk about the beauty God gives us each day! We all in these times need to remember the goodness of God! fyi ...Bought the Native products! Thank you!
Last winter I used my handkerchief collection for the first time. I put a handkerchief in the pocket of every coat and jacket I own. I have been able to offer them to friends on a hike. If I have to cough at church, I cough into my handkerchief. I highly recommend doing this. It has been surprisingly pleasant and handy. When I hand someone a clean handkerchief, they smile. And I make sure my handkerchiefs are folded so that the person knows it's clean.
I loved this video, Kay! Just an idea...how about a video on how to slow down and experience the Advent season? I am always looking for inspiration to make that time meaningful and celebratory.
Hi Kay Thank you for a great video on how to live each day mindfully. I live in Wisconsin and I hear a lot of people moaning about upcoming fall and winter temperatures but I have found this time of year a time to take a deep breath and relax. Early dusk is a wonderful time to slow down and appreciate the color of the early evening sky and the eventual leafless trees. I love winter trees. it's like seeing the soul of the tree with a beautiful filigree of branch designs. You can also see birds more easily.
Yes, please enjoy it! I wish we had more of that where we live - summer is hot and fall/winter and mild but still beautiful. I love to savor each season!
Loved this video ❤. We all need to slow down and enjoy our life more . The little things matter 😊. I have found they enrich your life. Spending time with loved ones and doing relaxing activities together ❤️. Fire places or camp fires are really nice too sitting by a warm fire sets a special evening 😊.
Last winter I had a challenge for myself to beat the winter blues. I made a soup meal each week and posted the photo on Facebook, wrote a little explanation of the recipe or occasion. I had 10 weeks of soups, 7 of them new to me recipes. It was a creative challenge and my husband loves soup so it was a win-win. Side benefits, to keep me on track with my menu planning and many soups are a frugal meal. Thank you.
Lovely video, Kay. It's time to make every day count and use our 'good things' and not just for special days. I bought a pretty teapot and make tea in it each morning. In fall and winter I like to make simmer pots on the stovetop by choosing a fruit such as; apples, pears or oranges, etc. and adding favorite spices to simmer for hours. It's the little things. Thank you for sharing your great ideas.
Hello Kay. These are wonderful tips. One of our favorite trips to take is to wineries. We have booked a two-day stay in amazing Sedona, Arizona. Believe it or not, Arizona has some wonderful wineries. We also enjoy going to Napa Valley, Sonoma, Santa Barbara, and Willamette Valley, Oregon. I also enjoy wearing beautiful and comfortable pajamas each night. Love the idea of bringing back the handkerchief.
This was so wonderful. Girl, I llike your thinking! I was pleased that I do many of the things you've suggested, but others I will definitely strive to add to my life. Not long ago I overhauled my closet, cleaned, purged, organized, beautified, and added some photos from my life that remind me that I wasn't always a "retired old lady," LOL. I'm enjoying it tremendously. And I vowed to wear all the nice clothes I rarely reached for because I am determined to live as though "my LIFE is a special occasion!" Everything in today's video will help me to live out that philosophy in more ways. Thank you, Kay!
Gabi, I’m 75 years old. I first started feeling unseen in my 50’s when I began to realize I no longer turned heads. I’m not beautiful but I always felt attractive. As time has gone by I realize that those of us in the boomer generation may feel we’re not relevant. I guess I should speak for myself. When I was young I felt part of a lively, positive world changing generation. Where did that feeling go? I’ve always loved make up but now I struggle with droopy eyelids and wrinkles. I can’t do eyeliner anymore. All of this ranting brings me to you dear Gabi. I don’t know how I found you but I’m so grateful to be SEEN by you. Do what you have to do to take care of yourself. You are a special soul.
Kay, I loved this video. Thank you for sharing thoughtful ways to brighten each day. I do many of them myself and I’m definitely adding using a French Press for afternoon coffee and setting a beautiful table for dinner.
Thank you, Kay! What a wonderful feast of ideas! I intend to try several. I especially love the idea of setting a lovely table in the morning. I can see how that makes mealtime something to savor. Because we have a dining room with a fireplace, I try to use it more for every day during late fall/winter instead of always eating in our kitchen. It feels special and I think we tend to linger more ❤there. Again, I so appreciate all your ideas.
Loved this so much Kay. So important to take some time for ourselves and for our loved ones and for time with God which certainly sends us in the right mind frame and to slow down and enjoy the simple things. Thankyou for the reminder love your channel. Greetings from Australia 😊
Nice and meaningful tips that go far beyond the outward things...it's really good to start the day in your type of routine..it brings order and even a greater sensitivity to the challenges that we're going to face later on. Iam all for prayer and reading the bible. Also to start the day and end the day with your spouse . Plus all the many other tips how to add beauty to our lives! I really enjoyed this video. I noticed the book on your table by Lynn Austin, I was thinking about reading a good biblical book just this morning. Thanks for the inspiration. Your a joy to watch.
This is a great video. I am happily retired and the best part of the day is my morning routine. Similar to what you said, I love having my coffee, reading, and listening to music from the internet, so much variety of music, for example, "DJ Maretimo's relaxing chillout music." I too, love an organized closet (and home) and proud of that too. I can certainly understand the idea of decent lounge wear/pajamas/nice robe. One thing I do for myself every so often is buy myself flowers (from the supermarket). Maybe people will groan at this, but cooking is relaxing to me, cooking "real" dinners. lol. I like taking a walk through our nature trails too, very peaceful.
Thank you for the encouragement! It’s very true that it is easy to treat ourselves as an afterthought. All of your suggestions will help me and my husband to reclaim enjoyment of life, with gratitude, while we recover from the damage of Covid! God Bless you Kay!
I always look forward to your videos! For myself, I enjoy wearing a gorgeous perfume just for me! Indulging in a hint of fragrance adds beauty to my life. Blessings! 💐
Thank you Kay for this beautiful video. We need these kind of advices once in a while. I sure can improve many of my behaviours; it involves a little bit discipline but so rewarding in the end. Again a big thank you! I always look forward to Wednesday morning to watch your video. This one, I will watch again!❤
Loved the different twist on this video- ideas to make the day a little special. Your videos make my morning special and start my day with pleasant thoughts. Thank you.
Thank you Kay for this video. It has inspired me to follow your suggestions which are so easy to do, but easy to forget the joy they bring. I purchased a set of vintage ladies handkerchiefs several years ago and always have one in my bag. I can dab my nose when necessary without those pesky little tissue remnants remaining. Why not enjoy the elegance of a handkerchief every day! Your videos continue to inspire me!
WOW! Some of these things don’t come naturally to me because I am very practical (too practical!😊), so thank you for pointing out some ways I can stretch myself and incorporate these beautiful new habits.
Hello Kay, Thank you for the wonderful routines and practices you described. They sound so comforting and homey. Having a Quiet Time with the Lord is essential to comfort and hope, purpose in my life. I was happy to discover that our Walmart sells Native products. They would not have come to my attention without your presentation. Have a lovely and blessed day!
Loved your tips and so many of them I have been doing for years, I don’t have a huge walk-in closet but the one I do have I’ve got pretty pictures hanging- as well when I see outfits in store mailings like Chico’s or soft surroundings- I clip them and tape them to my walls so I get out of my regular routine of wearing the same old thing the same old way - these inspire me to shop my closet and wear my items a little differently for new outfits!
Hey Kay I really like what you share with everyone it's so positive and joyful. I have one request, but remember those of us who don't have a spouse, whether by choice or otherwise. thank keep up the positive work you do.
Great video. Your video reminds me alot of videos about Hygge...making everyday special. Love this. I didn't know you are in Cincy. I'm in Southeastern Indiana about 60 min from Cincy. Hello neighbor!
Love the video. I do most of these things as much as possible. My husband has health issues and we have indoor cats. So a couple of these we can’t do but I think you gave great suggestions!
Great ideas for making one's life more enjoyable. We go to museums or craft shows as a part of savoring life. It is so interesting to learn how others in different time periods had to work and play. Thanks for sharing some great ideas.
Dear Kay - this was a very fun video. I love the idea of romanticizing your life in general, and you had so many great ideas of how to do this. Very creative and such a good idea! All of these things can help “fill our cup” and replenish the soul. Thank you!
My husband is fixing our closet at this very moment. We could not hang clothes unless it was an angle . This is a very small 100 year old home and it’s our only closet. There has also been a foul smell that occasionally comes through the walls. He is a larger man 6’4” and was not able to get in there comfortably. So down came the lap and plaster , he was able to add about 12 inches , so now it’s about 56” square. It feels bigger already. He wants to put in some shelves for his big ole shoes and my tiny little ones 🤣. I want to add some prettiness in there.
Good morning, sweetheart Kay, what a beautiful video, with great reminders and suggestions. Some of the tips you mentioned, I do apply, and driving through the countryside, is my favorite. I enjoyed this video, very much, and thank you. 👍🙏😘❤️✨🌟🌻💫✝️🍁🧡🍂
Dear Kay, I have been watching and very much enjoying your videos but lately I have been feeling that many of your videos feel like a shopping infomercial. I understand how money is made on You Tube however many of us do not have the means to shop at the stores you shop at. Many times, by the end of your video I feel depressed when I enter my own closet and realize that the content is not nearly as affluent as what you are showing and modelling. Most of us are not given free items to use in exchange for comment as advertising. As much as you present yourself as a regular everyday dresser the items you choose to model are pretty pricey for many of us regular gals. When you began your channel things were much more simplified with way less sponsorship. Its too bad.

I bought a whole pack of beautiful handkerchiefs on Amazon and they weren’t very expensive. I put them in every handbag.😊

I’m a herbalist and o always have a nice cup of herbal tea in the evening as part of my routine.
Thank you for this video - Great tips! I will be incorporating some of them.
I always use cloth napkins and make an event of dinner each nice. I agree it is a small thing that elevates our life.
Thanks for sharing!😊
Hey Becky 🌹
God bless you abundantly amen. How are you doing today ?
Hi Kay Thank you for a great video on how to live each day mindfully. I live in Wisconsin and I hear a lot of people moaning about upcoming fall and winter temperatures but I have found this time of year a time to take a deep breath and relax. Early dusk is a wonderful time to slow down and appreciate the color of the early evening sky and the eventual leafless trees. I love winter trees. it's like seeing the soul of the tree with a beautiful filigree of branch designs. You can also see birds more easily.
Such a wonderful way to look at the season that are approaching. 😊 Thanks for sharing!
Hey Bonnie 🌹
God bless you abundantly amen. How are you doing today ?
Yes, please enjoy it! I wish we had more of that where we live - summer is hot and fall/winter and mild but still beautiful. I love to savor each season!
Wonderful ideas Kay! Thanks so much. What a blessing you are!
Loved this video ❤.
We all need to slow down and enjoy our life more .
The little things matter 😊.
I have found they enrich your life. Spending time with loved ones
and doing relaxing activities together ❤️.
Thanks so much. My sweet husband will be retiring in 6 months and I can't wait to slow our pace down and have quality time together. Great tips❤
That is so wonderful to look forward to. Enjoy😊

Love the idea of making each day a little something special
It's true, often we spend ourselves for others while we get what's left...
That's actually not good and right!
Especially our relationships, be it a spouse or a friendship..
Or ever ourselves:
We have to look for the right priority and order in it!
Thanks for another great and inspiring video!
I really enjoyed this video. I noticed the book on your table by Lynn Austin, I was thinking about reading a good biblical book just this morning. Thanks for the inspiration. Your a joy to watch.

Thank you, Kay. Loved today’s post! A good reminder of simple things we can do to make everyday a little better. 💕

Yes Kay, my quiet time really sets the day. If I miss it, my day is never the same. Thank you for your thoughts and wisdom. Love your videos.
I loved your romantic ideas for enjoying life. Slow down and smell the roses!
Thank you!😊
Lovely tips from a lovely lady. Thank you for sharing your beautiful soul with all of us.

The term I’ve heard used is “Romancing the Ordinary”. It sometimes takes thought and intention.
Such a great video Kay! My husband and I love to go to the "long roads" almost every trip we take! Such fun! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!😊
Loved the different twist on this video- ideas to make the day a little special. Your videos make my morning special and start my day with pleasant thoughts. Thank you.
I loved this segment, it was very relaxing to hear thoughts of a calm life. Not rushing through.
Glad you enjoyed it!😊
Thank you Kay for this video. It has inspired me to follow your suggestions which are so easy to do, but easy to forget the joy they bring. WOW! Some of these things don’t come naturally to me because I am very practical (too practical!😊), so thank you for pointing out some ways I can stretch myself and incorporate these beautiful new habits.

Hello Kay,
Thank you for the wonderful routines and practices you described. They sound so comforting and homey. Having a Quiet Time with the Lord is essential to comfort and hope, purpose in my life.
I was happy to discover that our Walmart sells Native products. They would not have come to my attention without your presentation.
Have a lovely and blessed day!
Love this! And I especially agree with having comfortable, pretty pajamas!
Wow, Kay, what a spirit!
Loved this video! Such a good list of reminders for excellence. And you look amazing today.

Hi Kay, I just found your channel and I’m loving it.
Welcome! I'm so glad that you're here. 😊
Such a lovely, lovely video. Thank you for these wonderful words.

Great tips, especially to put yourself into a slower more enjoyable way of doing simple things in an “excellent” way!
Thanks!😊
You have such beautiful skin, it glows! Love your red lipstick color. Your videos are so nice, thank you so much
Great video. Your video reminds me alot of videos about Hygge...making everyday special. Love this. I didn't know you are in Cincy. I'm in Southeastern Indiana about 60 min from Cincy. Hello neighbor!
LOVED this video! We all need to unplug sometimes!
Absolutely!😊
Love the video. I do most of these things as much as possible. My husband has health issues and we have indoor cats. So a couple of these we can’t do but I think you gave great suggestions!
Thank you😊
Great ideas for making one's life more enjoyable.

Thank you!
Self love, I love it ❤
These are some really good ideas. I really liked this video. Thank you.
You are so welcome! 😊
Took me a while to get to this video but oh what a delightful treat it was!
Great video! Love the tips
Great ideas, thanks!
I am sure you've addressed this in past videos, but I missed it. What brand make-up do you use? It has such a dewy, soft look!
Thank you. I use this foundation and love it actv.at/24Xn/111224
Good morning, sweetheart Kay, what a beautiful video, with great reminders and suggestions.
Some of the tips you mentioned, I do apply, and driving through the countryside, is my favorite.
I enjoyed this video, very much, and thank you. 👍🙏😘❤️✨🌟🌻💫✝️🍁🧡🍂
you are so lovely and graceful.

Love this!
Great tips thanks
