      @@Aryan-cc4lw it’s most likely a bug, one way of proving this is downloading previous versions of blender and retrying the same thing and see if it’s stable. If it works in previous versions then yea it’s a bugg, how good is the pc? Like intel i9 13thgen and a 3090 with lots of ram?

    You are a blender artist so this might be the right question. Is there an option in Blender to create a 3d model, adding details by sculpting it and then baking a normal map out to apply back to the low poly model? This is something necessary in gaming and animation because higher polygon counts dramatically increase the rendering time, especially in gaming. I saw people make 3d models in Maya, bake the normal map out from Zbrush after sculpting the model. I wonder if it's possible to set up that production pipeline in Blender.

    • @savader2759
      @savader2759 Год назад

      There is, there are plenty of guides to help you do so, just search blender baking normals and you should find solution to your problem!

  • @PhantomyreValentine
    @PhantomyreValentine Год назад

    I wasn't able to find it in your other videos but I'm a very new blender user and was drawn to the idea that you could sculpt. I want to animate the models but I'm told you don't want to animate a model that's been sculpted. Is that true? Your work is fantastic and inspirational.

    • @IrocZIV
      @IrocZIV Год назад +1

      You don't want to try and animate a sculpt directly, mostly because it has so many polygons. What most people do is first sculpt the character, duplicate the model, then you "Retopologize" it, at a much lower polygon count. You can then "Bake" the detail (as a normal or bump map) onto the high poly sculpt onto the low poly retop'd model. This will give you the look of all the detail you sculpted, but the lower polygon count will make it easy for your computer to animate.
      There is a bit to learn to do it, but there are lots of great tutorials for Blender, so don't be discouraged.

    • @yansculpts

    • @m___motion5976

      When he duplicated the neck again for the first arm, he moved it down in object mode to middle torso, then in edit mode, placed it where he did. Moving objects in edit mode keeps origins in location moved from. So when he hit Symmetrize, it was based off torso location.

    Just one little thingy:
    The hands (if you would add them) should just below the hips, meaning your lower arms are too long in proportion, especially since you have bend them quite a bit.
    In reality: straight down arms, next to your torso, the hands are just below the hip. With yours, if you would bend the whole arms staight down, you can see how much lower the hands would be. Common little mistake many make. (no biggie ofcourse, since most people won't notice at all, anatomically it's a difference)
