I'm a dentist five years into practice. I wanted to revisit this concept..I opened my physiology books and broke by head for two hours. Then I stumbled on this video and thank God I did..🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you so much.. The thing that I was unable to understand in an 1 hour long lecture was made easy by you and that too perfectly in just 10 minutes.
Avoid Taking heavy foods Avoid junk, oil ,fatty, masala foods Avoid doing excercise until u cured Avoid sunlight Avoid taking stress Avoid taking mental pressure Be happy, Be comfort Eat less light food multiple times, So there will no pressure on your liver. Drink 1. Butter milk. 2. Cocunut water 3. Fruit juices 4. Water Eat light food ( quick digestive foods ) like 1. Curd rice 2. Idli 3. Fruits etc. Some people say avoid to sleep right side Better to sleep on left side for good liver Consult good gastro entologist.. Do proper tests. Remember jaundice is not a disease It is a symptom like 1. High bp , high sugar So . Take proper medication so you will be Recovered quickly.
Such an amazing work ❣️ i always return to this video when it come to jaundice it saves me tones of time instead of reading 20 papers or sm this makes it super easy thank uuu ❤️
amazing video , few things to add the heme that was broken breaks too biliverdin first by heme oxygenase and then bilirubin by biliverdin reductase so then this bilirubin is taken into liver by binding of albumin (facilated diffusion) because like you said its insouluble so then bilirubin is joined with glucoronic acid forming bilirubin glucosiduronate which is then moved to bile by ABC TRANSPORTER( atp binding casscade) then intestine deconjugated by bacteria forming urobilinogen and then what u said basically about it oxidised to form urobilin which gives poop the its color lol thank u so much.
All of the video playlists of this platform are really conducive.. Thanks for your best efforts. But if these videos would arrange a topic based sequence it would Very helpful to find out one's desired topics. Please take some steps in this regards.
One of my friend has jaundice last month and taken allopathy treatment for the same but her jaundice keep on increasing day by day with loss of appetite . Then she switch to ayurvedic treatment and see the positive effect of medication , now she is fine with a very low level of bilirubin left.
This video is AMAZING!! Not only did you make the material easy to understand, but you also made it fun to look at with your cute smiley faces and expressions. The only question I have is in regards to cases of elevated unconjugated bilirubin. If there is elevated amounts, can there still be absent urine bilirubin?? I understand that the liver is doing its best to convert the excess UCB to CB thus eventually resulting in "dark colored urine," but is this only if there is too much UCB? I hope that makes sense.
The way you have explained is superb ....make more such kind of videos in case any funds let me know will help you out with what ever I have thank you 🙏
The best conceptual video on this topic by all the means! Thankyou so much! :') ^_^ P.S. Those backflow of CB, breaching the Tight Junctions are hilariously sick! :p
Mistake alert: Sclera proper has got no elastin. It is maily conjunctiva and episcleral tissue that has elastin and so, they take up bilirubin and appear yellow.
I have a question. As you explained bilirubin being the reason why pee is yellow then why is pee sometimes different shades of yellow due to not drinking enough?
I believe the reason is because biliverdin (breakdown of heme from RBC) is converted into bilirubin which is insoluble. So it needs a transport like albumin to move about. If we eliminate them from the body directly, wouldn't we lose a lot of our albumin (protein)? That's why we send the unconjugated bilirubin to the liver to be conjugated so that it can then be excreted out that way.
I worry that i have this or something similar that is affecting my skin. It started happening about a month after a party where I thought I was poisoned. It might be some sort of an infection or an STD but I have no idea how to treat it unless I see a doctor for help. Because medicine seriously does miracles. On top of this I stopped going to the bathroom almost entirely. There is intermittent pain everywhere that comes and goes. It's amazing how well medications can improve your memory if your liver and gallbladder are working at their highest compacity. It's so important to value everything you have and to say what you mean. Scarier than this is when you have a hard time breathing and you can't sleep, your heart is pounding and you're desperate that someone will be there for you. You want medicine and you hope it's the right medicine, and you doubt it's going to be because you've always been a doubting person. You realize how selfish you were and hope to God there is recovery.
Please consult a doctor as soon as possible. Also, you gotta have faith that the medication will work for you; the positive mindset will definitely speed up the process of recovery. Hope your pain eases soon! Take care.
Yes urobilinogen turns into stercobilin by oxidation done by intestinal flora and is excretred through feces while 10%of UBG is converted to urobilin which is excretred through urine and a small portion of it enters enterohepatic urobilinogen cycle
6 years of med school so far and not a single teacher managed to explain this so well. Thank you so much
And here we were taught icterus and jaundice were different.
Why such comments has to had in every videos...:-(
agreed haha
strongly agreeee :')
@@raheelmd 😂😂😂😂
The only time when i really understood Jaundice.
Unconjugated biliruben is turned in the intestine into sterckobilinogen
but in the bladder into urobilinogen.
Thank you
appreciating your efforts

Yeah bro...I guess he made a mistake
Yeah I think so too

Thanks a lot sir🙏

There's not much info about Gilbert syndrome, thanks for sharing this video. can you please make another video about possible treatment solutions?
thank you. this taught me so much! I finally understand the crayon song!
Same xd
Yes same! XD
I thought heme broke down into biliverdin not protoporphyrin...
it breaks down into protoporphyrin and then into biliverdin... eventually forms bilirubin..
Thank you so much
Thanks for this video
I can't thank you enough!!! Thank youuuu!!!! 💕
Very good but it is fast
incredible
Thank you ,,, really helpful
Pardon! What does it suppose to mean (the more you know!) ?

Really thank you
Very thanks 🙏🏻
Thank you 🙏🏻
I have a question. As you explained bilirubin being the reason why pee is yellow then why is pee sometimes different shades of yellow due to not drinking enough?
The tranlations.. cover the important parts of d page..plz give a concern
Why the body needs to store the billirubin in the gall bladder/bile acid instead of just eliminate them from the body directly?
I believe the reason is because biliverdin (breakdown of heme from RBC) is converted into bilirubin which is insoluble. So it needs a transport like albumin to move about. If we eliminate them from the body directly, wouldn't we lose a lot of our albumin (protein)? That's why we send the unconjugated bilirubin to the liver to be conjugated so that it can then be excreted out that way.
Why the bilirubin is toxic to neonatal baby while it's non toxic to baby who have more than 10 days?
I worry that i have this or something similar that is affecting my skin. It started happening about a month after a party where I thought I was poisoned. It might be some sort of an infection or an STD but I have no idea how to treat it unless I see a doctor for help. Because medicine seriously does miracles. Why urine colour is normal and the feces colour is dark colour in the prehepatic jaundice?
Where is stercobilinogen?
That was amazing
I thought it turns into sterkobilin in the intestines and urobilin only in the kidney?
Yes urobilinogen turns into stercobilin by oxidation done by intestinal flora and is excretred through feces while 10%of UBG is converted to urobilin which is excretred through urine and a small portion of it enters enterohepatic urobilinogen cycle
