I feel if a person decided to move to a new country, whether if its Thailand, Japan, Cambodia, India, Egypt, Russia, Turkey, Georgia, or Italy? They should at least try their best to learn how to speak the local native language. It's will make your life a bit easier if you know and understand the local culture, local law & rule, tradition, local history, languages, how to write & read local writing script, etc.
I have been watching dozens of videos of people who moved abroad and this one is the most straight to the point, no BS I came across. Well done. 👍🏻 I cannot stress hard enough: do not move abroad to be miserable. You can be miserable in your home country, where you can have some support from the government, family and friends. As usual my suggestion is to get a degree (if you are from the US go study abroad, it will be waaaay cheaper), grind for 3-5 years to get marketable skills, then move. The degree will make getting a visa easier, being a skilled worker will fast track your entry in many countries. You don't need to be a brain surgeon, or an IT professional: plumbers, electricians, car mechanics are always in demand. Why am I suggesting this? Because it makes the difference between scraping by for the next 20 years vs living a comfortable life. Do not rely on RUclips for an income as RUclips can take it away at any time. You don't want to be stuck abroad because you don't have enough money to fly back to the west. Also, yes research you dream country and try to stay away from expats as these are the ones who will fleece you... 😂
The Philippines you can go & renew your visa up to 3 years before you have to make a border run. Also Thailand has a language learning and Muay Thai Visa which are low barrier to entry.
As you are experiencing your path into adulthood. I am at the senior end of things. I what the same thing you do. I want freedom and peace of mind. I've given my life to theatre, the performing arts, intercultural education, and teaching world history. I was the CEO of my own business and just like you, I am ready to view a few youtube shows and research locations. Then just go! Find peace from everything! I appreciate you so much. ❤ Thank you!
You are doing great I live in Portland Oregon also going to Thailand twice a year I love it I keep coming back maybe some days I’ll move to Thailand love the food the people and the weather
Nice video. Glad you made it to Bali. Speaking of change, my last trip Bali was 2010. And yes, as I understand it Bali has changed a lot since then. Personally loved Samur and did bit of surfing at Kuta. Enjoy the Dragon fruit.
Good job....I start my journey back to Thailand in 10 days...will be spending most of my 4-6 months in Jomtien...do you plan on being back there? Looking to move there sooner than later. 👣

Totally agreed! Some westerners don't want to learn thai language but they expect us to speak English in our own country.
