Ben Johnson or bust. He had the top 5 offense the last 3 seasons. Please no defensive minded coach. They have to develop Caleb and keep the offense on the field longer which in turn will keep the defense fresh. Offensive hires Marc Trestman (CFL) & Nagy (Reid is the play caller) were terrible choices in the past.
No more experiments of hoping coordinators can become head coaches for the bears . Just another Matt Nagy . Time to get someone who’s been there done that , JON GRUDEN
@hgservices5572 gruden hasn't been good in years. Also we get out lunch money stolen yearly by lafleur and oconnel who were both unproven OCs and are now leading 2 of the best teams in the league.
I really like Todd Monken. He was a good head coach for Southern Miss, was an All-American QB at Knox College, also has QB coaching experience & a good OC for Buccaneers(when he called plays), Georgia when they won back to back championships & Ravens. Plus he's from Wheaton Illinois & his dad was a football coach for 30 years at Lake Park High & his brother is the head coach for Army. Only problem is he may curse to much for the Bears 🙄. I think his scheme would work great with Caleb.
David Shaw interested me a lot. He’s both a great offensive mind and a leader of men. He also gives you value in his knowledge of personnel. Very similar offense to Harbaugh whom he coached under. He also developed Andrew Luck. At one time he was a very hot HC candidate.
Poles doesn’t want Ben Johnson. Poles and Johnson have different agendas! Johnson wants to bring a winning culture to Chicago. Poles wants to keep his job and not be challenged. Bringing a DC in as Chicago’s HC is like bringing in your proctologist to do your dental work. Not the best idea…. but there is a slim chance it works out. Teven Jenkins will be dearly missed….by doctors, nurses and physical therapists throughout Chicago.
I've got concerns about hiring Ben Johnson. First, it's not hard to look brilliant when you have the best OL in the NFL, the best running back tandem in the NFL, Amon-Ra St. Brown and a veteran QB. Second, being a great OC is not the same as being a great Head Coach, loo at Josh MvDaniels being one example. Vrabel has been a successful HC. I'd go with him. If you're worried about OC trurnover, hire McDaniels, ain't nobody going to make him a HC again.
Todd Monken has turn Lamar into a MUCH better passing QB, and the Play calling has been very solid. He interviews more laid back, not a screamer, but still very knowledgeable. Of course the question must be how much of what he has done is directly related to the talent of Lamar AND the addition of Derrick Henry? I watch every Ravens game (I live in Maryland), and Lamar for the first time has become a legit dual threat, he is actual turned the page from being a "running QB" to a QB that can run.... Bottom line, I would not be upset with Monken of the Candidates that you had in Yellow, but they are ALL are second tier, but Monken would be the top of the list of that group for me.
Thinking this through i bet the teams who HAVEN'T requested to interview with Ben Johnson, already know he's NOT interested. The teams don't want it made public that a candidate has turned them down. That's a black eye to the rest of the NFL and the other possible HC candidates.
Poles leading the HC search is scary. Poles thinks he's smarter than everyone and I expect him to hire another guy who's never been a HC before who brings in a guy who's never been an OC before....and around and around we go. We need a HC with experience! Ben Johnson is the product of being in a perfect situation. Another first time HC with a first time OC is a big loss for the Bears. But hey, you decided to keep Poles and let him lead the search. Poles last shot? Whoever he hires will get 3-4 years before they move on if they decide to move on. Bears are stuck in the perpetual cycle of incompetency.
It is the same situation with the Bears if Ryan Poles stays Johnson may want to bring his own GM. Poles overall his drafting has not been good. How many all pros or even good draft picks has he made?
Patriots are getting vrabel , ben johnson declined an interview with the jets and saints , so its a 50 50 shot we get ben , unless he just stays at detroit lol
There is like 6-7 candidates that really have no business being on the list. Nothing personal just level of experience or past experience. Kafka, Petzing, Joseph, Weaver, Smith, and Monken. They're not better then the other HC candidates on the list. If they want a Defensive minded coordinator they can go with Glenn/Flores. The rest don't matter.
No to Ben Johnson . Just another experiment of hoping a coordinator can become a head coach . It’s time to get someone who’s been there done that . Jon gruden
Poles is so oblivious he'll bring Jenkins back! I'll sign him for the low but not long term! He's too soft , Senior guy on the line and should've been the leader and the voice. It's not in him. He's really good when healthy, but that is rare. Hung around with Davis too long!🤦♂️ 😂
It's wishful thinking but B. Johnson isn't coming to the BEARS as he wants to build a Dynasty with The Lions before leaving for H. C job. He's not coming!
Does anyone believe that the bears are going to get this right hell no poles let our QB get killed by keeping the same inept line all year they are pathetic
Who do you think the Bears will get for their head coach?
Ben Johnson or bust. He had the top 5 offense the last 3 seasons. Please no defensive minded coach. We're the Bears. What we want and what we get will be far apart
No more experiments of hoping coordinators can become head coaches for the bears . Just another Matt Nagy . Time to get someone who’s been there done that , JON GRUDEN

Your title vs your opening line... "hands to" is VERY different from "chances raised a LITTLE bit..."
Dude, really?
I'd be thrilled to see the Chicago Bears hire either Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson, or the Buffalo Bills OC Joe Brady.
I really like Todd Monken. 🤡
I think Ben Johnson is my guy. If not him, and Vrabel wants to go to the Patriots, I think Todd Monken is my favorite of the remaining potential guys.
Awesome breakdown Brad 🐻👇
I don’t think anything matters except which team will synch the coach to GM giving the coach equal input on final player personal decisions.
Guys this is more than about developing and coaching 1 guy...we need a Mike Vrabel with a good OC. This entire team needs direction.
Than Poles needs to be fired!
Wow! How do you know this? Thats wild.
You must have all the inside scoop with the Bears. You should have your own podcast.🤔

They're going back to the Patriots.
100% because this is more than about developing and coaching 1 guy. The entire team is a train wreck right now. Vrabel is the man for the job.
Todd Monken has turn Lamar into a MUCH better passing QB, and the Play calling has been very solid. He interviews more laid back, not a screamer, but still very knowledgeable. It raised a lot
Also I hope someone signs Cunningham...we need the two third round picks.

JOHNSON is to smart to come to Chicago and the McCrapskys!! The bears need to move to ST Louis and the empty dome!!
I agree - his drafting is very good. His PRO moves have flaws. Now, Sweat and the trade were awesome. The rest? Poor!
I still feel we will get one of the random names no one is talking about. Typical bears
Poles leading the HC search is scary. Poles thinks he's smarter than everyone and I expect him to hire another guy who's never been a HC before who brings in a guy who's never been an OC before....and around and around we go.

HOW do u know Ben wants Poles
It is the same situation with the Bears if Ryan Poles stays Johnson may want to bring his own GM. Poles overall his drafting has not been good. How many all pros or even good draft picks has he made?
I want Brian Flores!
For the love of god no more defensive HC's for awhile
Ben Johnson just made Flores look bad🤔
At least they aren’t doing the whole consultant thing with retired, out of the league for 8-10+ years GMs
Patriots are getting vrabel , ben johnson declined an interview with the jets and saints , so its a 50 50 shot we get ben , unless he just stays at detroit lol
WE DONT KNIOW WHO THE BEARS ARE GONNA HIRE THEY ALREADY HAVE ABIOUT 11 INTERVIEW REQUESTS
If we get Ben Johnson bring Steve Wilks for the defense 🐻⬇️
There is like 6-7 candidates that really have no business being on the list. Nothing personal just level of experience or past experience.

Don’t even know them
I have no confidence in the bears 🐻 getting the HC pick right they will stay in the same cycle

He's not coming!
Sure buddy!
No
This is stupidity
NoT McCarthy! Ugh.
Nope... bad list
Also Ryan Poles has done a piss poor job with us and the Bears may do the samething that the Jags did and be in the same place as them
I didn't know Saddam Hussein was the Jags owner.

Nobody smart enough wants nothing to do with chicago and the McCrapskys cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Does anyone believe that the bears are going to get this right hell no poles let our QB get killed by keeping the same inept line all year they are pathetic
