Bring him back on an incentive rich team friendly contract. When healthy he is a top guard in the league. Our OL coach was horrid this season, play calling was crap for most of the season, and Caleb was a rookie QB! He improved throughout the year, and so did the line as they figured out what each needed. We know what we are getting in Teven, draft picks are "opportunities" to borrow a Poles saying. No sure thing taking a guard in the draft to START in his place!
Agreed. All this, "what if...?" and "potential upside". The dudes had gone through some major surgery! It's really hard to come back in top-notch form after that. How about just drafting good, healthy players instead?
I want Tevin back. Sign him for another 1 to 2 years for 7 to 10 million. This guy is the polar opposite of Nate Davis in attitude and desire. He was better in 2024 than in previous years and I think he is still improving.
Like I said when they signed Jenkins, it doesn't matter how great a player is if he can't stay on the field. It's understandable he might not feel strongly about coming back since he can probably tell that the team isn't very sure about retaining him.
YES…bring him back with a team friendly deal with incentives and even if he doesn’t play well as a starter, you’re not going to find a better back-up any where in the NFL!!!
Jenkins is a phenomenal player, but he’s had a hard time staying healthy. Maybe if he takes a very team friendly deal, the Bears will keep him. As for the recent signings, not sure if there is anyone that is going to be an impact player. At least Poles is making an effort.
I think 👑 Ryan Poles should bring Tev back on a pay cut prove it deal Show up & Show out & Ball out Show & Prove to me that you want to be part of this BEARS' 🏈 Team straight like that 💯#CLAWSOUT🐻🐻❄️⬇️‼️ BN4L' GO' 🐻❄️🐻's 'LFG DA' BEARS' Baby ‼️
Unfortunately Kyle has injury issues as well. I wish Tev can get his body right, but his availability isn't fully on him. The last injury happened when he was trying to avoid getting hurt. It's bad luck and hopefully he gets a fair contract and next year he plays all 17. We honestly have some good young OL pieces but we need some good players to hold the line while we can develop some of these guys. We have potential to have a line of 6'4+ 330lbs+ wrecking crew. HC is important but we need a top to bottom coaching staff so we can cultivate these guys. A solid draft and use the cap to keep Caleb clean, that's the priority.
I like Jenkins but he can kick rocks. We draft a studd left tackle with the first pick move Jones over now we just need a center and right guard but that would legit shore up our left side. Bear Down oh and FGB
Did anyone ever think that constant injuries, could also come from bad coaching + lack of a good Weight training I say keep Tevin but his contract should be adjusted for frequent injuries and lack of a good conditioning program.
OL help is pretty slim throughout the league and the draft doesn’t have the studs last year’s draft did. I think you let Kevin go out and test the market but I wouldn’t mind resigning him to a value or incentive laden contract. Draft a top guard and use Tevin to help with integrating into the system and NFL.
BEAR 🐻 DOWN BABY, FGB, PVO, if the Bears can get Jenkins a guy on both sides of him, that he does not have to always help, yes the team needs to keep him. Jenkins has had too consistently take on double teams on himself because the guys around him sucked. How is Jenkins supposed to heal and get strong if he is having to do that constantly, sorry he’s only human and I consider him is the best lineman we had but he had to having suffered through the last couple years. Get the Offensive Line straightened out so Jenkins can show the fans he is a true Bear 🐻.
If he is 50/50 that means if you don't know then you don't want to come back. move on, top 12 when on the field, then why all the sacks coming over his side? Bring in the top Left tackle in the draft or pick up the best in Free agency. Again Nic, great content. thanks for making my head hurt thinking about all your ideas.
@@JAYChi_Bears I have only been paying attention to football for about 4 years, 3 of them being a bears fan, so I have no clue who he is, what did he do for our team
I would like to see them give an incentive-laden single-year prove it deal. I think he just knows, because of injuries, it’s outta his hands as far as whether or not the team keeps him. He can be more like rotational depth but he clearly can NOT start or finish. If his attitude was more like Nate Davis, then “nah, seentcha, son”. But by most accounts, he’s not. So yeah. Prove it. And get/stay healthy.
He started a lot more games this year. Too bad he couldn’t FINISH a lot of them. Perhaps he should be an hourly (or minutely) employee instead of salary.
I’d resign him to a friendly deal and draft his replacement. Give him a chance to show he can stay healthy but for another team. We have a lot of holes on this team and can’t replace them all in one season
Unfortunately you have to let Tevin walk and get someone new. Or maybe a new HC can get more out of him....but his health seems like it will always be in doubt.
Sign him on a 1-2 year deal that has incentives on his playing time. I would be surprised if he would agree to that - he’ll make more in the open market. But make an offer. I wish him well but health worked against him.
Comment if you want Teven Jenkins back or not in the comments
Like this video if you like how aggressive the Bears are being this off-season
I want Jenkins back
Yes
Resign Jenkins to a shorter deal. Move him to RG next to Darnell Wrights where he was killing it. Draft Campbell put him at LG. I want T.J back
I'd say, Let him go
Yes, we keep him until his position is filled, and Jenkins and Wright are our best Offense lineman period
Bring him back on an incentive rich team friendly contract. When healthy he is a top guard in the league. Jenkins will truly be missed …. By doctors, nurses and physical therapists throughout the Chicago area.
DAMN!!! THAT'S THE LOW BLOW!!! 😅😅😅😅😅
I’m just tired of us being a rehab center for broken players, Nic. They rarely pan out.
True!
Agreed. All this, "what if...?" and "potential upside". The dudes had gone through some major surgery! It's really hard to come back in top-notch form after that. How about just drafting good, healthy players instead?
Give me an incentive contract ! Make sure he gets paid like top 15 guard if he logs top 15 guard minutes on the field!
I like your thinking!
No. Too injuried. Wright is the only guy I want back
I think Braxton Jones can slide into guard
Yep, build around wright
@@JAYChi_Bearsyep. And then dump him
No his a swing tackle at best as back up@@dariendean6991
Keep this guy. Pay minimal for a top talent.
I want Tevin back. Sign him for another 1 to 2 years for 7 to 10 million. This guy is the polar opposite of Nate Davis in attitude and desire. He was better in 2024 than in previous years and I think he is still improving.
He can’t stay health. We need guys that can play 14 games plus
Tough call on Tevin. When he’s on the field he’s good. But he’s not consistently on the field. He’s very good at being consistently inconsistent.
If he did a friendly deal, sure. But don’t be afraid to make him a depth guy
I like this
Like I said when they signed Jenkins, it doesn't matter how great a player is if he can't stay on the field.
It's understandable he might not feel strongly about coming back since he can probably tell that the team isn't very sure about retaining him.
Totally!
Congratulations fellas 🎉🎉🎉🎊🎆🎇🧨
Congrats to the future contract guys! Love the underdogs!
YEAH!
CONGRATS to the new players!!
Heck yeah!
Tough one. He is a beast when he plays but hurt a lot!
CONGRATS GUYS!
Congrats to the new guys!!!
Heck yeah!
@@JAYChi_Bears did you just respond to yourself? LMAOOO
Love the power he plays with, but didn't realize he was out that much. Have to save the money and go for your guy Alaric Jackson, he is impressive.
For Tev to come back, it would absolutely have to be a team friendly deal and/or a short contract.
Congrats to the future fellas!
Heck yeah!
Yeah baby! Thanks Nick . BearDown
I think you have to sign him to a team friendly deal along with Shelton and use the draft to build behind them
Congrats!
Wahoo!
Congrats guys!
YEAH!
I appreciate you not being a part of the overaction Bears media.
YES…bring him back with a team friendly deal with incentives and even if he doesn’t play well as a starter, you’re not going to find a better back-up any where in the NFL!!!
If the price is right for a short term deal with incentives on health
Definitely bring him back, reasonably, Bear Down!!!
BEAR DOWN! What's the contract you're offering?
Maybe 1 year 6 million with 4 to 7 million in incentives
We need healthy good veterans on offense and defense not just young guy's with no experience
Agreed!
Yes I’m bringing him back on a team friendly deal and putting him back on the right side
What's the cap hit?

We underdeveloped Tevin. Poles screwed up moving him to LG. He and Darnell were DOMINANT on the right side. Hence, our inability to run the ball.
Bring Tevin back on a team friendly contract loaded with incentives. Congrats and welcome men get to work...

Having an interview list as long as we do is NOT A GOOD SIGN!
Also Ryan Pace drafted Jenkins not Poles
I thought I said that, my fault
I can barely keep up with everything going on. Holy crap LOL
You're telling me....
I’m sure the rehab department will miss Tevin very much
Keep him for back-up!
If we get Ben Johnson you better come back
Unlessnits a team friendly deal i don't see the Bears keeping him
He started a lot more games this year. Too bad he couldn’t FINISH a lot of them. Perhaps he should be an hourly (or minutely) employee instead of salary.
Lmao that'd be wild
Keep him but move him to RG. When he played there we had a good running game.
Friendly contract sure do.
For sure
no too many injuries unless huge paycut
Agreed
If its a super friendly contract with the idea that Jenkins is a back up....
Fair points

Heck yeah!
Congrats the 6 and Jenkins cut him loose.

You can’t help the club from the tub! He should go. Build on the draft and free agency.

Good question....
Yes
What's the contract you're offering?
Hell no he has nerve to even think he has an option 😂🤦🏽♂️
LMAO!
Sorry, but the only thing that would have "changed" this season is a new coach from before the season started

Jenkins sound like he already got one foot out so let em dip. Even doe I like em when he plays good but ain’t promised all time
Signing Tevin Jenkins would be like a carpenter buying a glass hammer.
LMAO
No do not resign!!
Good call!
Offer him a 1 year deal with no raise.
Bring him back if he survives camp
If he could be healthy..Tevin would be a no brainer. But time to cut bait. Wish it werent so
Yes you bring him back bring in a rookie to help at left guard
I like that idea
Dumpster 🔥 run for the hills
Lmao
Teven Jenkins is made of glass.
It's stupid to interview all those
people. It tells me the Bears have no idea what they want. Also, the coaches will sign fast with other teams.
Too many IMO too
I would ONLY bring Tevin Jenkins on a one year price it deal Prove he can stay healthy he has talent but can't stay on the field
There ya go
Bring him back of the price is right. He'll probably get another team suckered in to sign him to premium $.
Sign him to a one year contract and trade him. Get a draft pick.

Good idea. Might be the best deal he gets
If they look at the injury problems, why did they pick him? There were so many better options. Use his money to get someone else.
Agreed
Yes ,but not as a starter. 2 yr. 8mil
I'd do that
Let Jenkins go .
Always great on field.
Sorry, too, say But he's ALWAYS SOMETHING being injured.
