i love the trade down to get simmons. i’d go all ohio state. - simmons. - jackson - tyliek williams - jack sawyer - judkins. lol. they really are some of my favorite prospects in this draft.
@@The_Bear_Review please do. its funny how they are such a great team and very need on the Bears just happens to be a top 60 prospect that ohio State has.
Love the mock this is exactly what I would do, besides maybe taking the Alabama guard if available instead. Resign Jenkins. But Deone Walker is my favorite player in the draft. Hoping the bears can get him.
Booker was already gone when i got to my next pick sadly. Plus I've always wanted to do a case study on bringing in offensive linemen that worked together in college to see how it translates.
The thought did cross my mind and I will check that out when i do the first seven round mock. sense this was only a three rounder I wanted to keep it to just the one trade.
I would not be mad at a trade back especially if it gives us another second round pick. I am very worried about the knee injury Simmons sustained I wonder how that's going to affect him at the combine if he's even going to be there. I absolutely 100% want Donovan Jackson!
yeah simmons is a case where your gonna have to go by the t.n.t or tape n traits. but we should have a clearer picture medical wise in the coming weeks.
Yeah I didn't go into crazy detail with that, that's for another video but he's an interesting one. He cant be almost that bowling ball type DT he got surprising quickness for being 345-350. But in the beginning I see Walker clogging up those running lanes
Id be worried about picking another guy coming off a big injury. Just look at Kiran who looked super unprepared. That extra 2nd round pick would be crazy tempting though.
He should definitely be on the board in the 2nd. However and this is just me considering how big he is 6'7 280 I ould have thought he woulda had a pass rush win rate higher than 11.5% you see on tape he lumbers around a bit and his hand fighting needs refinement, decent measurables but just not the high on my list. still a good pick overall.
@The_Bear_Review I think his hand game is one of his strong points, and there's still room for improvement. IMHO I think it's best to judge the flashes of certain positions, edge being one of them. If you look at his highlights, he went off a couple of games and showed me something in doing so. The gamble with him is going to be. Is he just a package type edge piece or a 3 down edge player. We need a young edge rookie that can immediately come in and play 3 downs and not be a liability.
Why trade down for a 3rd Team All Big 10 Tackle... with a medical question mark. There are way too many healthy O-Line studs available with the #10 Pick. In addition, the Bears are projected to have the 5th Most Salary Cap $$$$ at their disposal... with a good portion earmarked by Coach Johnson & GM Poles for proven NFL OL Studs.
simply put if he was healthy he'd be out of our reach. but don't forget you have braxton jones for one more year and he's been playing better then most give him credit for so lets say it take Simmons alittle time to get up to speed you have that cushion.
I feel the BEARS LACK STARS. PRO BOWL PLAYERS. HOW DO YOU WIN WITHOUT. DO A DRAFT ONLY TRADING UP. EVEN IF JUST GET THREE STARS THEY CAN FILL IN WITH UNDRAFTED FREE AGENTS AND KEEP DEVELOPING THEIR SECOND YEAR PLAYERS INSTEAD OF CUTTING THEM FOR DRAFT PICKS. All four men drafted here have the ability to become a pro bowl caliber players. It will also help when we start winning more games too. But one day I could do something crazy just for fun and take every trade offered and see what we come up with. Bear down.

@@The_Bear_Review Yeah, the master plan is to set up the Bears drafts going forward from 2026. Then in 2026, we use half of the 1st rounders to get players while using the other half to continue this drafting process to always set up the next draft to always have better draft capital than any other team.
maybe so 18 might be alittle high for him, I did run a couple of different sims outside of pfn during the making of this video just to get some more data on rankings and he's been hitting late first rarely and most of the time around 37 - 45 give or take. some teams may see him as alittle limited scheme wise, i personally don't but i'm not an nfl gm and his run defense is hit or miss atm.
Mike Green DE/EDGE Marshall , Jack Sawyer DE/EDGE Ohio State JT Tuimoloau MAYBE THERE 2ND FOR US FINGER CROSSED SOME HOW Abdul Carter FALLS TO 10 ITS A LONG SHOT BUT HIM MASON GRAHAM OR James Pearce THERE IM NOT TRADING BACK
ALL three of those guys are on my list, im really high on mike green probably more so than most and if they bears took him I might go out and grab a jersey night one. Carter is an interesting one, it's just a feeling but he could be very high on the bears list and be one of those players you move up to get. I should get started on some more single prospect focused videos in the near future, Pearce is also another one.
@@matthewmontalvo5066 His issues with his anchor might be more on display with the strength of those bigger interior defenders. Being out at tackle it allows him more space to compensate for that issue.
Can you imagine the Ryan Poles haters if he drafted a left tackle recovering from knee surgery? With Kiran Amegadjie last year and Braxton Jones CURRENTLY recovering from Ankle Surgery?
I'll be frank i've been waiting for someone to bring that up all day. I'd say this to them. The difference between Simmons and a guy like Kiran is night and day, Kiran was always a project piece from the get go. He was a big fish in a small pond at yale, yes the talent is there but let's be real when it comes to the level of competition he was playing against. In terms of Simmons you gotta hit the film room and that's why I provided the two clips I did. Forget the analytics an just watch the kid ball.
Will Campbell if he doesn’t work out at LT he’ll be a great guard
Simmons will be the best OT from this draft. Nice draft
Yeah his tape speak volumes, if he had played vs guys like Pearce jr and carter he very well could be a top 5 pick.
49ERS WILL TAKE HIM IF WE DONT

I was hesitant myself at first. But once I was able to sit down and watch his tape it was a lock.
Good draft but we need a RB. Gibbs n Montgomery > everyone we have now

The Center position should shape up alittle more once the shrine / senior bowls happen. right now the rankings are kind of outdated.

could we have gotten a little more sure, but it's an even trade when you go by drafttek's trade chart.
NO MORE INJURED PLAYERS 👹 SMH
I wouldn't worry the injury while serious, the methods of treatment from a surgical and rehab stand point are quite advanced.
That's exactly what the Bears need another injured offensive tackle.
