- Here's my rankings of Valleyfair's roller coasters. Valleyfair is home to 8 roller coasters. The park hasn't added a coaster since Renegade, but I'm going to rank every current roller coaster at the amusement park in 2023.

What's your favorite ride at Valleyfair?
When I used to regularly go to Valleyfair (last trip I think I took was in 2012), my list was the following:
1. Corkscrew. the loop and the corkscrew above the water were great on hot days, and the lines were shorter than Wild Thing, and it was close to the park entrance. Though it was light blue in color the last time I rode it.
2. Steel Venom. Super short lines, and every bit as intense as the other coasters.
3. Wild Thing. In my mind, it was the flagship coaster of the park given its location near the highway in front of the park and it being the highest and fastest. The lines were stupid long and the ride itself wasn't worth the wait at the time.
4. Renegade. Smooth and intense, though it was tucked away in a back corner of the park.
5. High Roller. Simple and relatively gentle compared to the 4 above. Always had short lines.
6. Excalibur. Intense with short lines, but I absolutely hated the intentionally bumpy ride. Always gave me a headache, hence why it's last on my list.
And then I didn't ride the other two basically at after the age of 12, so I have no reviews of them as an adult.
For Coaster it is Renegade. For flat ride Xtreme Swing. Mainly because i worked at the park in 2006 and was one of the ride ops for it. If you want floating air time. Xtreme Swing provides i feel some of the most air and longest air time you can get. It was one the first rides in years when i got to ride it while getting trained that made me go " OH #$@" when i felt that airtime the first time.
I was fortunate to ride Xtreme Swing and Power Tower both twice and those were some of my favorite flat rides! I’m really glad I didn’t skip them on my visit
My favorite roller coaster there is Renegade, followed by Wild Thing, High Roller, Steel Venom, Mad Mouse, Corkscrew, Excalibur, and Mild Thing (R.I.P.)
Renegade by far
I love valley fair, on friday night me and my friends had a sleepover the night before. I convinced my parents to get me the gold season pass (we’re gonna go back a lot more). Then we went to valley fair and had a grand time
That’s awesome! Enjoy the great park and underrated roller coaster collection
Great countdown video Ryan! Keep up the great vids you make!
Thank you so much Carson!! Also thanks for showing me around the park! I’ll definitely have to come back to the park sometime
Great countdown! Ive heard that this park is great so I really want to get out to it soon!
Thank you! You should, I pushed it off for longer than I should have
Great Video!! Soon I’ll get to Valleyfair I’m most excited for Renegade for sure in the park.
Thank you!! You have to, it’s one of GCIs best works and possibly one of the best wooden roller coasters
ValleyFair! needs a B&M, whether it be a wing coaster, an invert or even a dive coaster.
I agree! The park doesn’t have any inversions besides Corkscrew and a B&M would fill so many gaps
My rankings (pretty solid lineup)
1 Renegade
2 Wild Thing
3 High Roller
4 Steel Venom
5 Excalibur
6 Mad Mouse
7 Corkscrew (its the best corkscrew clone imo)
8 Cosmic Coaster
High Roller surprised me a lot too! I’m glad you rank it so high
I need to go
It’s definitely worth a visit! It’s never crowded
