    The suits that come in at the end are part of the Iron Legion, all of the different classifications that Tony has built for different specific purposes.
    For example, the Mk XVII "Heartbreaker" had an oversized chest-mounted RT that was meant for artillery level energy blasts. The Mk XXV "Striker" was built to assist in construction projects and was equipped with twin pneumatic jackhammers. The Mk XXXV "Red Snapper" had twin extendable/retractable claws used for rescuing people from the aftermath of natural disasters such as earthquakes and hurricanes. The Mk XXXVIII "Igor" was notable for its durability and brute strength, in addition to pneumatic lockable pistons in its legs and back that made it specialized for heavy lifting, and could support a building structure on its back if necessary.
    Sadly, all of these were destroyed by the Clean Slate Protocol, and Tony went on to develop the second iteration of the Iron Legion, autonomous robots (not suits) controlled by JARVIS used for peacekeeping and public safety missions.

    Nice review...............With Iron Man, when they said Mark 42 suit. It meant it was the 42nd suit Tony made.

  • @beatyz2
    @beatyz2 3 месяца назад +3

    So, my favorite thing about iron Man 3 is the fact that he's barely in his suit yet his suits are as plentiful as they've ever been. When he first runs into Riley and he shows him the iron Man suit Riley says "oh my gosh it's iron Man" and then Tony replies, "technically I am". And that was like the emphasis of the whole movie. It contradicts directly the thing he said at the beginning of the movie, Where he calls himself a "man-in-a-can'. I think of him in those words all the time now because in this movie he proves that he's not. He is iron man. That's why he doesn't want to have a lot of extra suits, because other people are not meant to be iron man. Yes, now there's a iron patriot. But I think that's where he wants to keep the extent of it at this point because l it can get into these dark hands and be used for ill. so this isnt a weapon of mass destruction it's a tool for THE iron Man which is Tony, even when you take even the tiniest last shards of metal out of him.

    Iron man’s suit is one big old computer. You got software but also hardware. At a certain temperature, shit just stops working lol. I would assume putting a ripping hot cast iron pan on my computer would make it not work lol

    His chestpiece is an energy source, which powered his suits and due to its high energy output behaves as an electromagnet which helped him for his complication. Now as he is cured, he doesn't need it anymore IN him, but those will be continued to be used as suit power sources. In other words, he will continue using his suits just like Rhodes use it.

    I just realized now that this is the first Iron Man Movie to not be directed by Happy Hogan actor Jon Favreau, but rather by Shane Black. It is the first Iron Man movie in which Nick Fury, Christine Everhart, and Agent Phil Coulson do "NOT" make a physical appearance. It is also the last MCU film to be distributed by Paramount.

    They were still fairly early into the MCU in Iron Man 3. And this was sort of a "soft" ending for Tony. If they were going to change direction or some how not make more MCU movies after this, it served as a nice enough ending to give Tony while leaving it open enough to keep him around, which they obviously did.

  • @nvp8191

    In every Iron Man movie is actually Pepper Potts who defeats the main villain. In the comic books extremists was not a take on the super soldier serum it was nanobot armor Tony injected into his skin that he would wear under his Iron Man suit. There is a Marvel one shot film with Trevor Slattery telling people he stole the Mandarin name from a real mysterious crime Lord who sent his men into prison to kidnap Trevor. Instead of Tony building a lot of Iron Man suits for different functions he'll just build a suit whose parts can be replaced that can do multiple functions.

      It's not always the villains that has a lot of power or tech that can do the most damage to a heroes a lot of time its the villain that you don't expect to be dangerous and then they get underestimated. For example Spider-Man has a lot of powerful villains that would need the avengers team to battle but in a lot of spider man stories the villain who does the most damage to him is the Green goblin who himself is no real danger to Spider-Man life but more of a threat to his loved ones.

    • @curtmc

      That’s actually Kevin Feige that’s in charge of the whole MCU.

    • @Pecos1
      @Pecos1 Месяц назад

      @curtmc I said he was the big Producer of all the MCU, NOT that he was in charge of it all. Yes, Kevin Feige was, and still is I think, the big head boss of the MCU. But, Kevin didn't produce any of the Infinity Saga. That was all Jon Favreau. I believe Jon left after Endgame to start producing The Mandalorian, but I could be wrong. His name could still appear in the credits of the newer wokey MSheU films and shows, but it would most likely be like Kathleen Kennedy's name appearing in the Mandalorian credits. KK had NO input in The Mandalorian show. That was Bob Iger's insistence.

Probably because I was a stickler for the comics and there were a lot of disappointing departures in this from the comics. There was a lot of hype leading up to the movie with Extremis and The Mandarin but it ended up being a really disappointing reveal.
    But seeing it again with you all, it wasn't as bad as I remember, I guess. New lens and we are far removed from the time leading up to its original release, so all the hype surrounding it is no longer a factor. Nice reactions!

    In the comics, The Mandarin was Iron Man's top adversary. A lot of fans were looking forward to his eventual appearance in the films. A lot of fans were horribly disappointed by how the Mandarin was portrayed in this film, with the twist being that character was actually an actor. [I was not among the disappointed. I actually loved the twist.]
    The MCU corrected some of the issues with the Mandarin appearance in this film in later installments. This is why you should also be watching the Marvel One-Shots along with the films. An important plot point occurs in "All Hail the King" that will come back in a later MCU film which helps redeam the character in the eyes of the comic fans.

    • @northwindkey
      @northwindkey 2 месяца назад

      Frankly I like the twist because, in the comics, the Mandarin was a blatant racist caricature, used as "Yellow Peril" propaganda. Iron Man 3's "Mandarin" is a modern equivalent, a Post-9/11 Terrorist stereotype, but the movie actually calls that fact out. It makes him literally, in the film, a piece of propaganda like what the Mandarin comics were in real life. A tool of the military-industrial complex to inspire hate and fear. The real villain of every Iron Man film is the military-industrial complex.

    I don't like this movie. It contradicts itself multiple times. But the thing I hate the most about this movie is something you picked up on early in the film when Pepper was able to just be in the suit automatically use it.
    HATE IT!!
    This started the Disney influence narrative that anyone can wear the costumes and be the hero. No....everyone can't. And in the comics the suits were never like that. They were designed for Tony and hit anatomy. Even when Tony chose Rhodey to take over for him as Iron Man, there was a learning curve to operating the suit. In fact it was affecting his brain because the suits all have a cyberkinetic interface that is specifically tuned to Tony. They adjusted it for the War Machine suit which is why he is the only one that wears and operates it. Tony Stark and James Rhodes are the only two operators of the Iron Man suits. There is no people randomly jumping in and out of the suits. That's dumb. But again, it was Disney's agenda narrative to say everyone can be the hero. It's a marketing thing to expand the base they can get their pockets into and it is also easier to replace the actor if the hero is not a specific person but a mantle....or just a costume or suit one wears.
    HATE IT.

    • @curtmc

      Bruh. They literally addressed this in the 2nd movie. Clearly not been watching?
      Nick: “You’re Iron man and he just went in and took the suit? Is that even possible?”
      Nat: “Well, according to Mr. Stark's database security guidelines, there are redundancies to prevent unauthorised usage.”
      Not just any one can use the suits unless they’ve been authorised according to Natasha in IRON MAN 2. Therefore the conclusion was that Tony LET Rhodey take the suit on purpose since he’s dying and gave him permission long before. Even considering the fact that Rhodey has the password into his lab in the first place.
      Please stop spouting nonsense lmao. If you’re talking about the fact that they stole and used RHODEY’S SUIT. It’s because it got refurbished multiple times, both by Justin Hammer/Ivankov in Iron Man 2 and assumably the government when it got renamed to Iron Patriot instead of War Machine. It’s completely not Tony’s problem what happens to that suit specifically because it isn’t his anymore. Shit security, shit systems, not upgraded. War Machine doesn’t have Jarvis either.

    Now that you've watched "The Avengers" and "Iron Man 3", you are now up to speed and can start with "Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.". The events of both of those movies directly lead in to the series. I highly recommend that you do watch it, whether you watch it for the channel or on your own. I think you will love it. The show ran for 7 seasons, 136 episodes and still has a high rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 95% rating. Like the "Marvel One Shots" I recommended, the show's episodes line up with certain movies:
    "Iron Man 3" => Episodes 1-7
    "Thor: The Dark World" => Episodes 8-16
    "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" => Episodes 17-22
    "Guardians of the Galaxy"
    "Agents of Shield" Season 2, Episodes 1-19
    "Avengers: Age of Ultron" => Episodes 20-22
    "Ant-Man"
    "Agents of Shield" Season 3, Episodes 1-19
    "Captain America: Civil War", Episodes 20-22
    "Black Panther" & "Doctor Strange"
    "Agents of Shield" Season 4, Episodes 1-22
    "Spider-Man: Homecoming"
    "Agents of Shield" Season 5, Episodes 1-10
    "Thor: Ragnorok" => Episodes 11-18
    :Avengers: Infinity War" => Episodes 19-22
    After this, the timeline kind of breaks down. You can watch the remaining movies through "Avengers: Endgame", then Seasons 6 and 7.

    I'm going to have to block your channel this night. I'm getting entirely the wrong vibe off of one of you around the 10:20-10:35 mark. Sparking too many instinctive reactions to someone who keeps mistreating somebody I care about and thinks nothing of it unless in my presense.

    I'm still kinda sore about the Mandarin, I sooo wish he was actually, you know, a REAL villain instead of "Trevor Slattery"... he had such a good villainous presence and I actually liked the update on the Mandarin character, plus he had the actual Ten Rings on his fingers... instead, they turned him into a joke
