- This video is something like a love letter to Portugal, a visual poem that describes my experiences and feeling when traveling.
Poem: "Tenho em mim como una bruma / I have in me like a haze" by Fernando Pessoa. Please keep in mind that this is the English translation of the poem of which several adaptations exist.

Sitting in my car in Oslo, just coming home after visiting the camera repair guy with my newly serviced Rolleiflex in the passenger seat, I decided to wait a bit in the car - as an introvert I love the peaceful tranquility inside a stationary car - while checking my RUclips feed.
And there was this film, these words, these images, that voice.

I'm Portuguese living in Germany and I found this video today.
Seeing my country from an outsider's perspective is incredible and seeing all these places gave me nostalgia and goosebumps!

That was just lovely. Loved the poem and the way it worked with your images. My partner and I visited Porto when our relationship was fairly new. We've been together for more than a decade now and have children, so this brought back quite a few memories for me. Thank you!

Nice video Karin! I use both camera’s (the MP instead of the M6) they are both very nice. The downside of the Fuji is that it pairs very badly with an Ipone to download the photo’s. The Leica photo’s app works perfect and seamless with my Leica M11. If Fujifilm could fix this, it would be big improvement.
Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it! To be honest, I haven't tried that feature yet of linking the Fuji to a phone, but I might give it a try in the future. A Leica M11 (the M10 would be enough though haha) was initially on my list, but since it was way out of budget I decided to settle for the Fuji. Not too bad of a choice as it turns out! :)
Im a local Portuguese Photographer and i had enjoyed a lot of your pictures. I was living in Lx for 10years and i know some of that locations u shoot. Porto is a wonderfull city as well

I like your photos very much, you have played a not inconsiderable part in the fact that I switched from digital to analogue. I would only wish for your videos to have a deeper insight into the technical side (aperture, shutter speed, your focus, etc.). Thank you for letting us be a part of your development.
Thank you so much - great to see more people coming over to the "dark side" of film haha. I guess I understand what you mean about the technical side. However, I feel like there are so many channels already focusing on the technical side, which is why I want to focus more on what photography truly is about for me: Which is experiences and feelings and less technical topics. However, if you are interested: I have a couple of videos where I focus more on my technical process and even POV videos where you can see first-hand how I shoot. In case there are any other more technical questions, I am more than happy to answer them.

I've already seen most of the videos and pulled out the information that was most important to me. I look forward to being able to accompany you on your further path. Wahrlich Poesie, auf so vielen Ebenen... 👏👏👏😊😊😊 Sehr inspirierend... Macht echt bock auf Portugal... Mein Bruder war letztes Jahr dort und hat schon geschwärmt... Es gibt auch einen hübschen Recordstore dort, den ich gerne einmal besuchen möchte... Vom Fotografieren einmal abgesehen... Mal schauen, wann es mich einmal dahin verschlägt...
Wow, vielen Dank fürs mehrfache (!) gucken - das weiß ich absolut zu schätzen! Portugal ist echt der Wahnsinn, das Licht ist einfach irgendwie anders als bei uns im grauen Deutschland. Das klingt doch nach einem guten Grund Portugal auf die Reiseliste zu setzen. ;)
Hi Karin, do you always have to turn off flash on T4 when you shoot in light? or does it automatically turn off? Thanks you!
The default setting is auto flash. When it’s bright it won’t use it, which is why I mostly leave it at that setting. But when it’s dark it will flash - to turn that off I will have to set it manually

Wonderful perspective and vision of my city.
I've been photographing Porto for many years, and nowadays I still come across new things :)
Congratulations for your video that conveys calm and tranquility, demonstrating a little of what this city is about.
It's very reassuring to get that kind of feedback from a local to hear I have not completely mis-portrayed your country/city! I absolutely loved Porto, it's easily amongst the top of my list of travel destinations I have visited so far. I was also very lucky to have caught a foggy day during my stay! :)
