Just a heads up Buddy. You may want to edit the video to take your house and face out. The “drone police” on the internet may make a complaint with the FAA about you violating the 400ft above ground level rule. It’s 400ft regardless of if in controlled airspace. Just looking out for you!

@@precisionflight2296 just look up philly drone life on RUclips. The FAA fined him $185,000 for multiple violations and were able to pin on him because of the telemetry in video and him showing himself.

Don't do this,I got above the clouds and when I was coming down,the drone thought the clouds was the ground,it took me like 20mins to land my drone.

Hey man in just getting into drones a d I was wondering from your perspective how much did you want to keep flying the mavic mini drone. And did you ever get burned out from flying it repeatedly?
No if you have new spots to fly it never gets old .. however flying in the same spot does get old that’s why my posts per week have gone down slightly but it is always fun to fly them
About 110 times flown my mini 2 and lately often "kinda finished", Lol. But am in small town and limited places to go fly. I concluded it's better if you're personally more mobile regarding sites to go see.

Fog and clouds are the same thing lol. They call it fog if forms at a height lower than 50', and clouds at or above 50'

I'm a new DJI Mini 2 pilot and still figuring out how to change the meters into altitude/feet. Crazy how high this can go.
There’s a section on the app/ camera screen, when all set for flight you click top right (menu) and there’s a section (can’t remember what it’s called) where there are 3 options, the first two are M (meters) and it’s the third one- farthest to the right, says something like “imperial.” That will change it to feet.

DONT DO THIS!!! You could get arrested for flying over 400 feet if you get caught but thats not it. Your drone could fall from the sky and kill someone. I flew my potensic atom se at 2680 feet (somewhere near that) and i brought it down. The wind suddonly started to blow very hard and something happened (idk what) it was probably motor failure or a bent propeller and it fell. I was VERY lucky that i was on vacation at the time at Kauai, Hawaii near the ocean because the wind took it and moved it tword the water. The last picture it transmitted to the controller was it upside down right above the water far away from land. The point of the story is not to fly very high because you never know what could happen. The drone was in perfect shape! I never crashed or damaged the drone in any way. I kept it in a case for its whole life out of the sky. I never flew above the clouds but i did film them above the drone. The fact that you were flying through the clouds makes it worse! Clouds are in the form of ice. That can hit the propeller and snap it off (in a rare case) and if it killed somebody, you would be in jail for life. I highly reccomend not doing this because one little mistake and your life is ruined.

Hi,
I once flew into low dense fog over the mobilehome park I live at to see if I could break thru......... NOT! The density of fog messes with sensors below and I was wondering around park lost & fearful for awhile. So you're lucky you didn't have dense clouds!

The jet stream is still miles higher than where u were at. I think it starts around 5 miles up but good video man.

I didn’t get anything extra with the drone. Just the drone itself and the fly more combo I think but I may be wrong

Why does the FAA not want you to do this? I understand in fly zones and planes but if your doing it where you can still see it is it really a problem?
I totally agree. Technically I’m not supposed to fly this high but when I can clearly see no aircraft and I’m in the middle of nowhere flying relatively low it really isn’t a problem .. most people fly like this anyhow

I have a lot of trees where I live and have not completely got the hang of yet but so far its beautiful and sadly easier to practice at( a little above the trees so I don't hit anything)

@@beyondspace64 the altitude restriction is not for falling drones, it is for preventing aicraft hitting the drones and getting damaged.

I didn’t .. my display is set to feet . 1600 feet is 500m

for posting these types of videos, but I believe they are relevant. Always good to know what the boundaries of the tools we use are. I have flown over 900' offices buildings by +400 ft.

@@georgespineanu that is not the drone doing it is a radar that doesnt allows ur drones to go hight bc ur near an airport if you go higher is illegal and doing so is a crime dangerous for planes and can be fined by the FAA

Legally you can’t fly in the US higher than 400 feet above the ground or a structure ie a cell tower

Not exactly true, it's actually 400 feet...but if you are flying near a building or land mass you can fly 400 feet above that mass or structure as long as you're within 400 feet of said mass or structure@@mikerplays
@@hosephotographer9630You can fly your drone 400 feet above an object or landmass that your drone is within 400 feet away from horizontally. So of you're within 400 feet of a tower or landmass you can fly 400 feet above it.
In this case he says he's takes it up to 1,200 feet above ground level (AGL, which is how these drones measure altitude). There is no indication there's an 800 foot tower or landmass within 400 feet of the drone, so this does violate the FAA altitude limit.
