I own the MT 09 for a reason. That said, the Tracer 9 GT is a very lucrative motorcycle too. If you are looking for long distance travel, it is a one great buy! What would be your choice?
I already have a Super Tenere so I got a 22 MT-09SP. But if I wanted one do it all bike, I'd get the Tracer. That said, I like the look of the previous generation much better.
i had the 09 sp 2022 for a year and i loved it!!! ill buy a next one this year if the tracer 9 gt does not convince me enough! i ride in amsterdam and the 09 sp is perfect for that to ride through the city and to take the highway. but i want to tour so badly but the 09 sp is just perfect except the touring part...
@@rRaeyon Sorry for the late reply. It's much better than stock because it doesn't slope toward the tank, it provides better support for the rider and better accommodations for the passenger as well.
I would love to know if that whole front cowl section "including headlights" would fit on my 2023 MT-09 SP. I think it looks better and I enjoy the window protection while still feeling agile and having fun.
You imply the Tracer is not so track focused. Does that mean it's handling is inferior in some way? Or that the active suspension does not do as good a job as a manual setup?
When a bike is not track focused, does not mean that it has "inferior" handling. It has a different handling. It is meant for long distance touring. The active suspension is great. Again the setup is different. Not for track. Track focused active suspension is found on the R1M.
Good question. Tough to answer since it really depends on how you actually feel on the bike. I would suggest that you sit on the bike once and check out how your knee feels against the tank. That would be my only concern.
Is it possible to lower GT-09 to a not very tall riders? I read from a specifications that tracer 9 is actually 810mm heigh seat, but when I tried to sit on it it feels tall to me. Is there a way to low MT09 or Tracer 9, (not GT) without any kit?
It is going to be tough to lower without a kit. At best you can lower the preload. It will become a stiffer ride. But you can lower any bike by adjusting the preload spring at the rear.
The tracer 9 gt is not a comfortable bike. If you re thinking about getting one be prepared to spend another 1k to get the long ride out of it. I love mine and it is an amazing bike but stock youll get about 1 hour before you are hurting.
I have the tracer 9. So I can agree with this being said. It's all in the seat. It's not very padded so it gets uncomfortable quickly. Also there's a pin for two seat height adjustments. If your on the lowest (pin out) the seat is slightly slanted downward, which slides you into the gas tank alot. Not the most comfortable. That said, I love my tracer no other complaints.
@@christopherbehringer6584 If you dont mind spending money the Corbin seat is a game changer. Is it worth the money? Idk its expensive for a seat but I do enjoy the ride.

@@KrishnenduKes Yeah, I like it a lot. Especially after getting the ECU flashed. Was happy to find that the MT-09's fueling is fine as is.
Short, sharp and excellent video..
Thanks mate!
Another well made review. Very helpful! Thanks!
Thank you!
Krish, great video and I'm in the position to think about a street vs touring bike.. Thanks again

This is my dilemma right now. Your video was perfect by the way. I will be following your channel now. Great commentary

You are right about that. The MT is great other than for touring. Thanks for your comment and hope you can come to a decision next year. Let us know.
I added a Bagster Ready Luxe seat and the Yamaha mid windshield to mine.

Great videos, I want to stop by soon to check out the MT10 SP if you haven’t sold it yet.
Still there. As of now.
OK, I’m going to try to come there on Wednesday. I’ll be making a trip down there from the Lehigh Valley.

Plz make a comparison between ktm super Duke 1290r, honda fireblade rrr, bmw s1000rr 😊
Good bikes to compare honestly. But where I work, I do not have access to the BMW bikes.
How does the MT09 SP do with tall riders? I am 6’2 and I am considering getting one but I am worried about me being “too tall”

Same deal with me, i'm 6'2 too and been wondering about how it'd feel

How does a Tracer 9 compare to a sports tourer like the Ninja 1000?
Pretty close. Neither of them are actually available lol!
what is your height?
I think I said it in the video. It is 165 cms or 5'6".
