What about using skateboarding shoes at the gym? They can be wide (compares to converse or slim vans) They tend to be flat They are not spongy like the running ones
I always wondered about your lifting capabilities since I found your channel a few months ago. That was great to see - next time a video with you squatting and/or deadlifting please!
My gym got a few of the power bars in a few months back. It’s become my Go-to bar for benching and squats. It’s more balanced and has a more pleasing knurl then the rogue Ohio bar or the Texas power bar to me. Not the best for stiff bar deadlifts but it’s serviceable. I’d rather have a more aggressive knurl for those but it’s honesty still ok
Hey man i find your videos very useful, thank you for that. could you do one about ankle sprains/recovery/prevention? My ankles are turning into a problem due to bad recovery and i'd really like to adress the issue before it gets worse, and i feel like a lot of people could bebefit from said video, given how common ankle sprains are. Thanks again!
Hi Dr.Aaron, sorry for the bad grammar in advance. I learned so much from your channel, and I wanted to thank you for your great works. I'm currently squatting 155kg, and I recently started using upper back when coming out of the hole. ruclips.net/video/GxR5pgJNUvA/видео.html I learned it from Toshiki Yamamoto's video. I also heard a cue "throw barbell with your trapezius" from Chad Wesley Smith(can't remember the exact quote). I understand the key point isn't about how I should move my elbows, rather about how I should control my upper back. When I try to throw the barbell with my trapezius, squats become much easier. However, I'm not sure why it works, how it exactly works, and I'm a bit worried that it might hurt my back. I really loved your explanation on how Lombard's Paradox works in squat, so I was hoping you could clear up this problem too.
So because I already have an American Barbell performance bearing barbell, how are the bumper plates, I am looking for affordable prices in that category 😅
I feel much stronger with that slight arm bend personally. I would refer to the technique as 2nd best though and would try to teach a beginner away from it.
So thats a good observation. There's actually some elite weightlifters that do have a slight elbow bend. Now if it's moving into more and more elbow bend during the pull it's a sign of muscling the lift and that's a big no no. But a slight arm bend if maintained during the pull isn't always a horrible thing. I would say 2nd best.
The arm bend is a potential energy leak. Not always bad. The actual energy leak came from the rotating foot during the second pull. Arm bend is fine, but maybe starting position should be a bit more toed out? @Squat University What do you think?

I own the LU E1 barbell and it's amazing for the price. Super smooth turnovers and soft knurling. Not to mention the super awesome packaging.
How has it held up?
Not sure if you are still actively using RUclips but is it still all good, Rafael?
Sup, guys, two years of constant use. There are no issues so far.
What’s your review on the Lu urethrane bumpers?
I did a review on the m-1 training bar and it’s honestly such a dope and unique barbell for the price!

How would you compare this bar to the eleiko competition bar? As in eleiko = Lamborghini, so this one is a Mercedes, Porsche or maybe more of a Ford??
What are your thoughts on the bumper plates compared to other top manufacturers?
Good gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad Aaron moves strong af

Could you pls make a video on where you do the hip contact during snatch and clean ?#squatUclub
Why are you wearing a teeth guard for lifting?
nice video good seeing you lift. Btw the how tall are you, your clean grip is almost the same grip as my snatch grip?.
I'm 5'11"
is this part of your clinic or your own space?
Nice!

They've worked well so far. No issues
@@SquatUniversity Thank you, I will look into them
Why the arm bend on the clean?
Is it to shorten to moment arm?

Those KG plates!
#SquatUclub im working on that front rack mobility
Keep working hard!
#SquatClub awesome video dude!
Thanks!
just woooowwww
Soory Aaron, but with that missed 130kg, your arms were bent the whole entire lift, generating an energy leak..

Is it made in China? Forget it. I’m interested in products made in the USA.
Lots of your belongings are made in China. Why don’t u throw them away and buy American products instead???
Go buy Rogues, it made in us.a..., no wait, their bumper plates also from china. Boohoo
Lu Xiaojun barbell staff have long posted anti-women's rights comments on the Internet, most of their remarks are in Chinese
Any example or link of that?
Good for them
