My 1st ever shoe is the do win, and it's still going strong, but the lu xiaojun shoes are tempting me so hard. I think I can wait till my do wins start seeing some damage though.
Said this before, but the Lu shoes are definitely the 'replacement,' or rather 'current era'- version of the Romaleo 2s. Everyone has them, everyone seems to favour them, and everyone keeps wearing them after the novelty has worn off. Rom 2s are selling for insane prices now, and the average seems to be about what you could buy these new Lu lifters for. I've been using the gold colourway for a few months now, and I don't have any complaints whatsoever.
I just got a pair on these and glad you have a possitive review on them haha, last pair I had was adipower 3, got them when they came out and not very long till I saw your video despising them and got kinda sad hahah even still I only used them for squats so I didnt have a problem other than them being a little bit big since had to half size up due to the narrow toe box. Solid Shoe man gonna use them for only squats still but definetely these feel way more quality and durable, my adipowers look like crap after only 1 year and a half max
I don't know if heavier lifters don't like the Asics or if it's just they can't get them in the sizes they need. 10ish US is all they go up to unless you get customs. 102-9kg Ryunosuke Mochida has always been in Roms even though he could have got customs like everyone else on the Japanese team. Looks like he's been in Tyrs the past year. Eishiro Murakami has always been in Asics, and he's the Japanese Industrial Fridge. His fellow super Kosuke Chinen has worn various Romaleos and the Asics, not sure why he switches.
I love my Anta 1s however I will say the weight of them did take a while to become accustomed to. It would be interesting to try these if they're indeed lighter and if they feel as planted to the ground.
It's likely nike pay absolutely zero attention to what goes on, multiple cooks saying they have the right sauce so it would make them look like they're previous shoes were a waste of time, rom 4s owners would be pretty annoyed if they said 'oh these rom 2s are actually better' and we're reprinting cause 3 and 4 kinda suck. To be honest I'm kind of surprised they even bother with the weightlifting shoe market
i feel like my adidas 'powerlifting shoes' were too soft inside and i couldnt really express my strenght, since i got the rom4 i feel like its soooo much more stable and i feel locked in completely
@@ea5266 yes it's kinda hard to express your strength in them it feels like you are not really locked in, they work fine for normal stuff like leg press split squat ect tho it's just that for this one thing where you have to go all out like a 1rm on a backsquat for exemple they don't have that much stability and they are too soft
Fellas please get back to me regarding that programming request. My body is ready (an old Vitor Belfort reference...). On topic:, how would you rank Valaasas? I've only ever used them and find them super comfortable and stable.
Thanks for the review! I was going to buy these, but now that you said two more shoes are coming out this year, I think I will hold off! Are the other shoes comparable in quality/performance--specifically in the snatch/c&j?
I've been using anta2s since August or so and I have very mixed feelings about them tho. My best description would be that they feel like winter shoe with an extra thick sole.
Got them last week, the quality seems really great but the sizing is way off. I followed the sizing guide on the website and they are a full size too small. Also the return policy of the EU shop is a joke, I'm not paying 30€ extra shipping just because the size guide is wrong.
It's great they did the thing but the L1s were too soft for me. Had to give them away to my brother. Make them heels in wood or hard plastic then you can take my money 💵💵💵
If good price/condition - Rom 2s. And whatever color is coolest ofc. Rom 2s have amazing colorways (Reds, orange/blue, white/black, obsidian/red, white/red, pinks, volts, blue/volt…). Lu’s don’t have many great colorways, mostly just these pinks and that new black/infra red. These have a higher heel height, though. Upto 27mm from EU46 on.
@@Ryanv7xThe Anta 2s are great! They're comparable to the Rom 2s and giving my ASICS 727s a run for their money. I'd buy when the Anta 2s cheapen a bit as their asking price is too dear.
Have either of the two mystery shoes released yet? Great review.

Perfect timing, was sitting on the bike doing some cardio and had 20min left 😂
Already fapped, but going for another 13 minutes is fine
Same lol, had 15 minutes left and saw the upload

Can't get them in a size over US10 without custom/expensive design from a single JP seller that doesn't have an ordering process in other languages.
What's your all time wl shoe ranking?
1) Rom 2
2) Everything else
The Lu XioaShoe
How much do you need to lift to buy the gold luxiaojun’s?
I know it’s far in excess of what I lift but interest to know 😂
I have the gold ones🫡
One needs to be Olympic Champion 😂
wen anta 2 review?
I didn't realise that Rom 2s were that sought after. Going into Flyfit and people 'mirin my neon yellow stilts
Own them myself in a uk 12 they are excellent and pretty damn wide for weightlifting shoes
I wouldn't wear hot pink shoes, but I'm fully pro for them. Having interesting colors that set them apart from competition.

I love my Rom 4's but I also love the continuous shitting on them from Sika 😂
I have the Reebok legacy 2s - would I need to go up or down in size from that? (Legacy’s fit well).

Maybe a very dumb question, but why doesn't Nike just remake the Rom 2's? No changes, just the exact same shoe as back in the day.

Thanks for the reply!@@sikastrength
I also wish Adidas would bring back the 08 Adistars or original 2012 adipowers.
bring back good adipowers !!!!!!! 🥰😍🤩
"Gingeralla", Sikastan's world famous foot fetishist...
i feel like my adidas 'powerlifting shoes' were too soft inside and i couldnt really express my strenght, since i got the rom4 i feel like its soooo much more stable and i feel locked in completely
I couldn't agree more, the Powerlifts were my entry into powerlifting and by extension weightlifting. But... they were indeed just too soft.

So, where can we buy them in America?
How do These shoes Compare to Anta 1‘s, especially with regards of the heel hight ?

I would think if you had longer feet, you'd want a greater heel height. Always knew my trigonometry would come in handy one day!
What barefoot shoes do you wear/recommend?
Are the 2 new pairs coming out worth waiting for if I’m on the market for new WL shoes?
The Venus Weightlifting pink version suits you! 😅

These are the only high end weightlifting shoes available here, and only in gold 😭😭😭

What website did you get them from?
narrow toebox is a non starter now that TYR did the thing

Reebok Legacy’s have been on sale for 99.99 USD.
How’s the width of these compared to TYR?
Adidas adistars 08 >>>>> All
Idk if I should get rom 2s or lus and what color to get

Anta 2s???
pink looks good on you
what's the heel height ?
20mm.
😂
VS romaleos2,
What is the better?
Rom2 best.
Nice. Enjoying my TYRs as my first weightlifting shoes but always interested in what else is out there!
The TYRs were too soft for me, which is a shame because I liked the thought behind it. Got rid of them so I got the ASICS and ANTA 2s instead.
@@ea5266 how do you like the Anta 2s? I have been drooling over those and Rom2s for a bit now…
