If you guys are heading to Bulgaria, it would be great to go shed some light on what’s been happening with Bozhidar. Guys definitely had a rough go of things, despite all that, had a really strong Olympics.
Hey Seb. Concerning your question about records in 3 weight classes without the restructuring we’ve had a couple times; David Rigert did it legitimately in the 82.5, 90, and 100kg classes in the mid/late 1970s.
It would be awesome if u give Karlos a voice, so we can understand his situation with the federation. If he needs to compete for another country that would be totally reasonable, the guy just brought a gold medal from Paris 💁🏻♀️, he’s still pretty young and needs to be safe about his future, u know, these careers are not long 💁🏻♀️

It's crazy this has apparently been going on that long. I guess if anyone can succeed at bringing attention to it, it's Karlos considering he is now an Olympic champion. I imagine many people will be on his side, hard to argue against the guy who just brought home a shiny new gold medal into the country.
Thank You for great content! About Karlos Nasar’s diet. Actually, nothing much bad to say about it. But ofcourse, it depends what these meatballs consist, exactly. And how much does he eat them (and how big are these meatballs). But, yeah, according to this brief overview Karlos gave (or what we were able to witness in this video), not too bad meal plan. Actually - it’s bretty good. Especially when taking into consideration the possibility him moving to the next weight class. All and all, it seems to be good way to approach to the diet of one, who are moving heavy weights.
I'm glad to have watched another episode of WH News. I do wonder what are the qualifications for a federation president? I hope Seb is able to interview Karlos in the future. Also that WH shirt Seb is wearing is cute. I might have to look at WH merch.
It’s incredible these federations are so disrespectful with athletes that are so committed to their craft and represent the country abroad, it’s plain and simple corruption, it’s very sad. These athletes deserve all the support and praise, why are these “presidents” not retired athletes who understand how is to compete and the hard work behind success? Don’t give them ur money Karlos!!!
also, Zakharevich held records in the 90kg-110kg categories, not all at once, the 90kg records got wiped, but to this day, Yuri is the best 100, and 110 of all time. 440, and 455 respectively
An absolute genius when it comes to weightlifting and I’ve learnt so much from you but that is some rough geography Slovenia is no where near Kosovo. Kosovo is a lot further south. And bordered by Albania, Serbia, North Macedonia and Montenegro
Karlos won't be an 89 for much longer. He's the lightest he'll ever be NOW. Young weightlifters (especially ones that have been 17 for the last 3 years) generally keep going up in weight as they age.
Bulgaria has its greatest lifter in at least a full generation don’t pay him and want to shake him down for sponsorship that he has obtained on his own. That’s twisted. Bulgaria is lucky Karlos loves his country and is able to separate these administrative Aholes from the country and the people he represents. I love Yousefi. He’s been my favorite Iranian since the 2019 Jr worlds when he did 172-225 for 3rd place a month or 2 before he turned 16!!! He was huge even then weighing more than 150 kg. He’s got the Jr record at 246 but I thought he’d be closer to the senior record by now. Can’t get enough of Rostami I hope he keeps at it till he’s 40. It’s odd the Chinese produce excellent women supers but lag in men’s supers.
Karlos would get love from us Bulgarians wherever (if) he decides to go. It’s amazing to represent our country, but not if there is a price to pay and if it's forced by federations. This is ridiculous.. To be honest, if another country wants me, I would choose it over ours 100%, like few other top athletes we had in other sports, yet they are very much loved by us.
