you speak of the Vikings as these invulnerable, mythical beings when they where just normal men who were farmers. they took advantage of small villages and churches knowing full well they were defenceless and slaughtered unarmed people.
Many scholars believe that the viking age only started at all because the Scandinavians saw their Germanic brothers being murdered and burned alive by early Christians and they wanted to defend their right to their faith and traditions. In the viking age and before, being a good person was arguably the most important aspect of how to live your life, even in war time, the women and even slaves were kept far away from danger so that they would be safe and anyone who attacked someone who was deemed as weak would be shamed and either killed or cast out of society. If you were a viking man trying to impress a women, money didn't matter much but being an honorable person really did matter. In summary, the vikings that you see in media are created to get people to watch a TV show or movie and have very, very little to do with how people actually lived or what they valued

Cim can get almost his entire hand around the rolling thunder, which must be a great advantage. I feel like hand size and the leverage it gives you makes a big difference in a lot of grip sports events. (Edit: not to deny that he is amazingly strong, of course!)

How could anyone not like Cim. Wonderful man and a wonderful character. Insane strength.
Back in the day, this would be the type of dude who'd invade your village and take your head as a trophy
Back in the days he would be a giant berserker ! 😡😡😡
Scandinavians like rest of the world was much smaller than today :)
@@andersmalmgren6528 And the height difference just as big if not bigger.
Vikings were around 175cm on average and nobles were very typically over 180cm while knights in Western Europe were like 173cm on average.
@@DebasedAnon yeah I ment smaller as in shorter and lighter :)
they were a head taller or more.
What a humble guy. Greetings from 🇩🇰🇩🇰
Take him climbing!
Yes please!
No way, he's gonna rip the holds off the wall.
The mountains would collapse
He might be heavy, but with that sheer amount of unstoppable strength this big guy has, this might work pretty well.
Yes!
I love this. It's wholesome how invested these guys get in someone else's lifts. A lot of people think bodybuilders are hulking musclebound idiots, but they're actually two of those things.
The Y.T algorithms spun it's magic wheel and got me here, I know nothing about either guy, rock climbing or strongman/powerlifting,
but I loved the mutual respect between these two elite athletes. I could have watched about another hour or more of these two talking about
stuff I have no interest in. I might go try and find my dumbbells in the shed!!
His shirt says "heavier"
It's a brand of nutritional supplements.
DONT ASK if we want to see him climbing! OF COURSE we do!
He would just push the mountain down
"I think Larry lifted this."
- Yeah? Lifts it without breaking a sweat.
That interaction killed me lmfao, especially knowing how strong Larry is. This guy is a monster.
Larry is the equivalent of a child in comparison to the strength of this man 🇸🇪
Larry is out of his prime and wasn't focused on strongman training. In his prime he was probably much stronger than this guy in all conventional lifts while weighing 30kgs less than him.
@@jj59575steven Whilst I totally and utterly respect your perspective and I’m certainly a fan of Larry, I contest this statement due to the fact that this participant displays an inherent 24% statistical strength advantage, scoring a (supposedly record breaking) and phenomenal 104.2kg as opposed to merely 80kg. No amount of strength training or standard deviation of a few years is going to influence such statistical evidence, let alone alter the unwavering fact that this man is infinitely more physical powerful than Larry, respectfully.
Additionally, he is stated to be the “strongest man in Sweden at present” (yet I can’t verify whether this is accurate or not).
It a very interesting discussion however you’ll also notice that the every single strong man competition has been won by individuals from Northern Europe (particularly Fennoscandia) due to the fact that the native population are prone to suffering from a deficiency of myostatin (MuRF-1) which causes an excessive growth of skeletal muscle.
In the *very unlikely* scenario that Larry were to be of an equal measure of physical strength, there would most certainly be thousands of Scandinavians who would effortlessly surpass his physical performance.
I rest my case.

The intro is very cinematic with those nice drone shots, music, sound effects and voice over. Good job Magnus!
I’m proud to have a fellow Swede completely dominate the channel like this! Humble as hell too!
Cim can get almost his entire hand around the rolling thunder, which must be a great advantage. I feel like hand size and the leverage it gives you makes a big difference in a lot of grip sports events. (Edit: not to deny that he is amazingly strong, of course!)
It's pretty widely known that anytime you have to wrap your hands around anything hand size make a pretty big difference.
Ye, I wonder if you sized the radius relative to the size of your hand, if Cim could still lift heavier than Magnus or not. I'd assume yes, but it'd at least be quite a bit closer.
@2ndPeterVBlack of course, but that's the whole point og being big and strong, you have an advantage :) It's almost like saying, i wounder if he could lift as much if he didn't have so big muscles. He has an advantage over other that doesn't have as big muscles as he does.
True but he also easily won jar opener, where long fingers are a disadvantage.
YES! I could love to see you two climb! Its always incredible to see the diversity of strength in the people you have on!
I like the 'internal' monologue bits of the video, it breaks it up nicely in a way that a voice over over B-roll might but it's more continuous.
Great video. I don't know what it is about you people from that part of the world. so humble, so honest, very factual and no BS. Keep up the good work guys. Very impressive.
*That is some serious strength. Also he is probably extremely nice and friendly dude because most of the people who work out are the nicest people around, at least in my experience. They always encourage you to go further and be better*
Love the humility and respect you both show to each other . Will be looking out for Cim in the future - I am sure he will become a lot better known .
This man is a legend. Very few people can make Magnus react in such a way. Amazing work.
Great video! Such an amazingly strong and humble guy! Would LOVE to see him climbing!
This guy is amazing! And he seems like such a kind man! Great video!
I really appreciate how Cim challenges Magnus to beat his record, Even tho he easily is a powerhouse he still wants others around him to improve. Much respect.
Just incredible strength! It would be really amazing to see him attempt to climb a bit with you of course!
1:38 as soon as he laughed at Larry wheels record I knew it was all over 😂
Lifting that last weight off the ground is in itself quite the feat. But the control of that last lift, while keeping the tiny weights balanced, is just... let's say I may have nightmares about it later on.
Thank you for this video, Magnus, it was a ton of fun.
I gotta say, Cim looks like the kind of guy I'd love to have a beer with, although I suspect he probably drinks... I don't know, lava?
Wow can you imagine the cupping containment strength in his fingers in Armwrestling! Man! Insane!
So nice to see the bros being humble and supportive of each other pushing their limits 😊
You know it’s a great day when Magnus posts!
You should do a video with Jesse Pynnönen from Finland. He has one of the best grips in the world. He has also a huge collection of Thomas Inch dumbbells and other grip stuff!
If you can make the video with Jesse, please also invite Mika from @setamiehet and ask him to bring his anvil.
@JessePynnonen
That would be interesting video!
If I stood next to Cim I think I wouldn't even come up to his kneecap haha. He seems like a lovely guy! Awesome video Magnus, I'd love to see you both climbing!
that last lift with the 2 small dumbells on top tells me that dude is in control. Excellent video
Absolutely incredible! Put aside the strength and technique, what actually got me hooked is both of your personalities.
Especially Magnus seems so incredibly humble, down to earth and honest. I had a blast watching!
15:35 Magnus trying to kick it was great
ye it doesnt look like but its almost his body weight insane
Seeing Magnus in shock and pushing himself is awesome!
Love your videos Mr.Meatball.
Haha I'm not sure why but seeing you guys succeeding in the different tasks made me really happy! Väldigt trevlig video!
Imagine seeing this guy show up on the battlefield back when fighting was hand to hand combat!
This was my favourite grip video of yours, it inspired me to get out my grip crunchers and squeeze along with the video.
I'd love to see him come on your channel again in the future. Perhaps more grip related stuff, or something else?
Can't wait to see him climb. It's going to be interesting seeing someone heavy with that much grip strength
I like how he is encouraging Magnus with the exercises 👍🏽
The fact that Magnus, with 45% of Cim's mass, lifted 90% of what Cim did on the crimp grip plate pull is mind-blowing. Super high power-to-weight ratio!
What an impressive guy. Credit to Magnus to achieving what he did, with less than half the body weight!
Thank You for a great video. Nice to see two so humble and great atlethes. 🇸🇪
magnus, i've been watching your videos from day one. it is incredible how far your channel has come. the quality and editing of the videos has only continued getting better and better.
I was so shocked when you started to talk Bergensk! /A swede living in Bergen ;)
It goes very quick to learn to understand Bergensk for swedish people, but in the beginning it's a bit challenging. I think within one day you should start to understand the main part, and withing a week you understand most of it :)
I have been commuting weekly to work in Norway the last 16 years. As a Swede my colleagues were surprised that I could easily understand Bergensk when I travelled there during my first year. I think Bergensk is more similar to Swedish then other Norwegian dialects. And Nynorsk was no problem for me as a Swede either.
i love that the big dude is way happier when Magnus goes over his max then he is about breaking records, what a nice dude
Just randomly stumbled on this video and it's quite pleasant to see the respect shown and the humility from each of these gentlemen - especially when they could realistically turn my hand to jelly with a handshake if they wanted.
Imagine being at work as a plumber and having to lift something really heavy.
..and u have this fantastic giant on the other end and u set to lift the other end (of this imagined big-ass,heavy thing), and he says "ok, 1 and 2 and lift".
Fantastic dude & yet again a good clip from Magnus.
Well done u 2.
