      @@tfwwhennofitlitgf3300 You like reading just the headlines. He was 18 at the time.
      He confessed, made a deal and served a suspended sentence. The court agreed to this on the basis that it was an accidental occurrence after his defence provided 14 sports drug tests that are clean.
      Nevertheless, he has been very vocal about his mistake and made absolutely clear that it was not cool. He pushed through this and sports injuries and trained hard to achieve what he has.

    What a trip to lift in front of a huge home town crowd like this comparable to other sports where there are fans that actually pay to get in and see their sports heroes perform as opposed to many weightlifting comps where they have a few administrative VIPs and other lifters in the audience. Armenia in 2023 was much like this but the most astonishing crowd I’ve ever seen was the 1999 Worlds in Greece where they filled a 12-15000 stadium for Dimas, Khaki and gang.

    • @JohnDoherty-dl2fz
      @JohnDoherty-dl2fz 2 месяца назад +3

      That’s a pretty big compliment Andrew. If he can be as dominant in the next Olympic cycle I’d probably agree with you. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course but for me there is also an element of time. Right now I’d probably go with Lu Xiaojun. He was dominant in 3 full Olympic quads and got 3 Olympic Golds. Karlos of course is setting records like a madman; youth, juniors and seniors. He is also setting them by huge chunks. Just demolished the total record by 8 kg whereas Lu was content to break records 1 kg at a time. So there’s room to disagree there. I’d agree with you if you’re saying Naim is the best all time.
