Karlos Nasar is more consistent and has shown more improvement over time than heart attack tiao, Karlos for the win. Both amazing competitors.

If both are 89 at the time of the Olympics, Tao would have a huuuuge advantage. The guy is full 5cm shorter. A major difference which means that the guy would not only have more muscle (assuming both having the same composition) per cm but also shorter travel distance.

Seriously tho I think Tian is the only guy with a possibility of beating Karlos and then only if he’s having the day of his life. Nassar has done 391,393,395 his last 3 meets. 3 of the top 5 all time totals. Nino did 392 2 years ago and hasn’t come close since then. Same with Li Dayin and his 396. This baby is is Karlos’s to lose only if he has a terrible day or is injured.

Jacob you are absolutely correct. I think he will have his hands full with Rahmat. It all depends on which lifter has had the better doctor/surgeon and who recovers faster. Shi did 340 in Dohar and looked far from his best.

Everyone is forgetting about Jeison Lopez, dude literally put in a 395 total for the World Cup, dude tied the world record snatch. He will definitely try to break the world record in the total and snatch at the World Cup.
SomeSerious Lopez is good but he’s got to pull his cl&jk up a bit. When you have the big cl&jk you bat in the bottom of the ninth. When your snatch is your strong suit you finish your jerking and wait around with your fingers crossed till everyone else is done.
He definitely looks in shape to take out the snatch wr but as ^^ said his clean and jerk lacks

I love Tian and I will bet on him. But Tian's enemy is himself. Surgery recovery, inconsistent snatches, and age. I hope he can at least make the Olympics.
Karlos is already a legend he is born for this sport, the effort that he put in this weightlifting challenge is not only training, discipline but a humongous SOUL !
Both of them are great, don't get me wrong but the difference between them is that Karlos is not influenced by money, fame, glory but only HONOR !

Not a completely correct comparison of indicators. Nasar's best results are shown in category 89. Tao in 96. It should have been shown in 89 too. Otherwise, what's the point of comparing them?
