If you're going to use someone else's thinset, you can call the manufacturer and see if they warranty that particular thinset over the ditra mat, or just use their waterproof membrane also. And ask which thin sets they offer for that purpose. Because the Schluter all set is expensive and harder to get
Hi there, we are still producing SET, but only for large orders. We do have our ALL-SET available though, and that can be used for under and over our Schluter membranes. Thanks!
All they doing is creating unnecessary confusion! First they say only unmodified thinsets can be used to install their waterproof membranes. Then they manufacture their own thinset (All-Set) and on the bag they call it a "modified " thinset. That's so people will buy their thinset. It's all about money. Just use REDGARD liquid applied waterproofing membrane and save yourself hundreds of dollars!
This video claims to clarify your stance yet you state that you can use all of these mortars for porcelain tile. Did you mean ONLY porcelain tile? As someone who is new to your products I must say that your marketing department...well, sucks. Get your message straight and be explicit on what types of tile you can use for each of these products.
Hi! Our thin-sets are suitable for use with ceramic, porcelain, and stone tile, including large and heavy tile. They are not recommended for moisture sensitive stone (e.g., green marble), resin-backed tile, or glass tile. Please see the Schluter thin-set data sheets or one of our handbooks for further information on the uses of our thin-sets. You can also reach out to our Customer Service Teams if you would like to know which one would be suitable for your tile installation. You can reach them at 800-472-4588 (US) or 800-667-8746 (CA). Hope that helps! www.schluter.com/schluter-us/en_US/Setting-Materials/c/SM

Schluter thin set mortars are difficult if not impossible to find in any big box store
Floor&Decor always has it
I don’t see unmodified Schluter set anymore, do they stop producing it?

It is very confusing which , I guess, Schluter wants it to be... So you will give up and just buy their expensive all set...
Time to use Laticrete system 🙄
Huh
