That symbol in the bottom right of the panel with different worlds is NOT the Celtic symbol for Christianity. It's a Triskele/Triskelion, a Pagan symbol of the cycle of life, death and rebirth. It is also a sunwheel. It dates back to the Neolithic era. Christianity co-opted the symbol to be representative of the Holy Trinity after the Christianization of Europe but that is far from it's origin point. Really disappointed that y'all couldn't spend the extra 5 minutes to find this information for your research for the video. It would be amazing to see a GoW franchise game that explores Celtic Pagan religious lore, it's a lore that has little to zero representation in the mainstream.

I think Kratos was meant to die at the end of GoW(2018). The covered mural was the something that was meant to be. But Kratos has a talent for defying fate.
I wouldn't dismiss that theory, maybe it was Barlog's way of saying that this could've been the final installment of the franchise if Sony didn't want to make more sequels. But who knows, guess we'll have to see what happens in Ragnarok
@@Akanio_Vatheros I don’t know if it’s a book end moment. I know many think it’s depicting Kratos dying. But the mural was more telling, the story of the 2018 game. I rewatched the part of Atreus summoning the serpent. It looked like a reversal and the way they predicted it. Was Atreus loses his mother and father, then takes down the Aesir gods. I’m realistically saying my original comment. So that if the sequel came out and I’m right. I can be like, “called it before the game came out!”

@@Remag123 I’m aware. But the point is, they made it. At least for me. Like Kratos was originally going to die. They showed the whole story on the wall, but not the final battle. I do think this way, because after the 3rd game. It seemed like there wasn’t another.
It’s going to be interesting seeing Odin though. I know in Norse mythology, he’s more of a magician hermit. Not entirely like Marvel depiction obviously. It sounds they’re going the route of the nomad hermit for the all father.

The Valkyries we fought in the first game were puppet soul trapped Valkyries. That why when you beat them, their souls are free and they thank you. In Ragnarok you'll be fighting actual true live conscious Valkyries.
And the 2018 valks where like animals. But these two are very aware
The last mural of atreus holding the body. Its tyr not kratos. Theres no axe or red stripes like the others. Also an important detail is the chunk of wall missing at his hand. In norse mythology tyr’s hand is bitten off by fenrir during ragnarok. Most likely kratos thor or odin will kill tyr. Although its gotta be kratos God of War vs God of War

Loki gave birth to three 'children': Fenrir, Hel, and Jormungandr. The question is why that 'person's' death gave birth to Jormungandr. And what will be of the other two...
Kratos' red stripe tattoo goes over his left side of his eye and body. The mural of the man is laying down with his right side facing towards us... so it's still a possibility that might be Kratos....

Freya (at least in the mythology) was a Vanir God, and frigg was the name she used with the Æsir while married with Odin
They really to different women but SMS twisted it up like they usually do and made it one person.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who, try as I might, can't help but be a stickler for the correct mythology lol! And for the record, the confusion over Frigg and Freyja stems from the fact that in the mythological records Freyja is noted as having a lost husband who went by the name of Odur/Od, leading to much speculation that he and Odin are one and the same.
I'm Asatru from birth, and raised into it. This is both true, and false. It depends on the Edda you are reading. So many Eddas were scrambled through time, that sometimes both Frigg and Freya are the same person. But mostly... you are correct lol

Seeing Kratos and Atreas fall from tall hiegyts over and over again and Atreas to say he was used to it was great.
Also the story Kratos told at the end about his friend was amazing

Freya isn't an Aesir god but a Vanir one. I guess that one thing Mojoplays should remember before God of War Ragnarok.
The fourth Aesir was Mimir. He was the god of wisdom in Norse mythology.
I'm glad so many of us noticed this glaring mistake. Its a huge key detail of the Norse Mythology.
Not only is she an Vanir god, in the game at least she was the LEADER of the Vanir. Huge detail they missed

The one thing I forgot that breaks continuity is that Kratos isn't actually born a God, a demigod yes but not a full blown God
He was made a full blown God after the first game and in the 2nd game he had the power of the old Gods (The Titans) so that makes him full God Now.

Him being born demigod doesn't mean anything more than him just half human. He's still a god.
I like how in most depictions, Jormangander is considered the “bad guy” and Thor is considered the “good guy”.
But in god of war, the roles get flipped lol

Thor has never been depicted as good in almost any story ever, and jormungandr is only depicted as a bad guy because he only fights during Ragnarok and is a symbol of the end of the worlds

Imagine close to the ending of the game, Atreus gets kidnapped by the Aesir in what they think is a plan by Odin to anger Kratos enough to the point where he will single handedly end Ragnarok by killing everything in his path. But Odin has other plans, he saw how Kratos will die in Atreus's hands, so he thinks he knows how to make that happen in his control, so he controls Atreus making him having to kill his own son, kill his family with his bare hands once more. Odin believes Kratos cannot come to kill his son, giving Kratos no choice but to let Atreus kill him. Kratos, despite every force in his being telling him not to, forces himself to kill his son. He feels the greatest amount of anger and sadness, and kneeling over his son's body he says "Odin..." and the monster inside Kratos is truly reborn. He proceeds to kill everything in all of the nine realms, becoming Ragnarok, the very thing Odin tried to prevent
this is a masterpiece

Freya is not an Aesier but a Vanir godess.Thats why she married Odin, to stop the war between the two factions of gods. Also, to be fair with her... she didnt want Baldur to hurt Atraeus and Kratos either. She was trying to protect all of them but failled to do so due`s to Baldur madness.
Tyr is said and shown to had one arm bitten off because he intentionally put into the mouth of Fenrir to show he can tame it.
Yet in the trailer he still has both arms.
Probably, we will meet Fenrir during the game and Tyr will sacrifice his hand, maybe to protect Atreus.
Whatever it's going to happen in Ragnarok,one things is for sure that it would lead to Tragedy and Bloodshed.
I think Atreus will eventually wield a weapon forged from both the Blades of Chaos and the Leviathan Axe.
Remember this story Mimir tells us;
"There was Fire; there was Ice, and in the middle, they met and produced-"
"Water?"
"Not just 'Water,' but the mystic lifeblood of something entirely new."
Kratos and the Blades are Fire. Faye and the Axe are Ice. Atreus will become Water once he reaches his full power. He is the "something entirely new" as the son of a Greek demigod and a Norse Jotnar.
Does jotnar mean giant?
@@booboodahfool Correct. But they can shapeshift into smaller sizes, so calling them "Giants" can be misleading. Faye was able to hide her Jotnar heritage from Kratos and Atreus until the day she died.

I believe the “prophecy” reviled at the end of (gow 2018) is Odin is the bald man dead in the end . We know that Atreus becomes someone close with oden bc of the secret meetings they have in the trailer and the blood bond they have in the real Norse mythology. witch explains why Atreus is seen holding the dead man with great emotion pouring out of him. Maybe to stop Odin death is to stop the end of the world much like Zeus at the end of GOW3.

But let’s be honest if things progress arteus will be really relatable to players and will be the kid we watched grow into a heavy hybrid of kratos and what we can assume are fey’s characteristics. But we’ll watch him be the mischievous Loki and probably redeem himself by the last installment. But I’m just guessing here.

Modi isnt confirmed death... magni died because of jormungandrs poison on the axe. But modi died of falling and stabbing from atreus. Which means he might still be alive

I want to know who called the world serpent. And also the voices in Atreus' head while they were in Alfeim. When they got to Jotunheim all the giants were dead, I'm wondering if what he was hearing was all the giants being killed.
You should’ve payed more attention in the game, but the voices Atreus was hearing were the voices of the light elves calling for help
They have the eternal blessings of sigrun and the other valkyries. I'm sure we'll have a fight with Freya but she'll be spared and become a good guy again

Modi isn't dead. There is a panel which depicts ragnarok and another panel which depicts the fight between Magni and Modi fighting Kratos and Modi's character is on both.
I would like to see a giant boss, Hrlæzyr was big but I want one more like Cronos, maybe Fenrir, Nighoggr or the Kraken

Okay, I love these videos. And I love how informative they are. But it seriously bothers me that they called Freya an Aesir God. She is the Vanir! That's the whole point! That's why she was married to odin, to broker peace between the two races!
So, Mimir states that part of Freya’s curse is that she is unable to harm or kill any living thing. Why is it that she is now able to attack Kratos? Perhaps the curse is broken due to the effects of Ragnarok, or a continuity error? Perhaps I’ll find out when the game releases.

Hope this game series doesn’t makes us play as Atreus in the future, because I personally don’t like the kid. God of war just plays better when Kratos is by himself.
I would only play it if Kratos stays the main character, but Atreus is a welcome addition to the game.
Here's hoping GoW Ragnarok will come out on PC just as GoW 2018 please! also hoping if Kratos will wield the fabled hammer of thor

The celtic symbol that is shown in god of war is a triskle, and is NOT a Christian symbol. It is a pagan symbol. A protective symbol and a possible symbol denoting the 3 stages of life, death and rebirth.
Christians took this symbol during the conversion of the celtic peoples. But it still remains a pagan symbol.

@@cuchulainnenjoyer first of all, love the name. Cú Chulainn is one of my favourite hero's ever! Secondly, I agree. I would love to see celtic mythology represented in god of war. Especially when Mímir hints that he is infact a possible celtic god himself or that he worked for the Dagda! And it would really annoy me if they misrepresent celtic mythology to that of Christian mythology in future games. It's irritating seeing people misrepresent it as it is.

Whoever wrote the script didn’t do enough research on the game. Quite a few things said contradicts what the game says
Sucks that you gotta re-upgrade the Axe and Blades in GOW Rag., it’d be nice if you could just increase their Lvl from the last game
What if, Kratos really does die by being killed by other Aesir Gods and not Atreaus and this causes AT to seek revenge for his fathers death which would ultimately make God of war franchise move towards a different direction and making AT become the new God of war. Or another one is that he dies and AT buries him and that's when the story finally ends for God of War. Either one would be quite a spectacular sight to see.
Edit: AT burying Kratos after he stops or kills the Norse God/Gods.

This is why I truly hate MOJO Plays. The little details of things matter. Freya isn't an Æsir god. She is a Vanir God and in this story she is their leader.
Just a quick note; the triple spiral symbol is NOT the Celtic symbol for CRISTIANITY at all. It predates it by around 1000 years. It is simply a Celtic symbol. Thank you

I think it goes back to a principle that even shows in this game. If youre even part god but you dont believe/know youre a god, youre as powerless as a mortal

Demigods are basically lesser gods. Hercules and kratos inherited Zeus great strength and durability but couldn’t perform magic without artifacts. Magni and modi are demigods and could only perfor lesser magic like lightning. Higher gods like Zeus and Odin can perform higher divine magic and reality warping powers and held domains over the world. Demigods can still kill higher gods it’s just the odds are considerably against them unless they are blessed with powerful artifacts. Kratos needed 3 games worth of artifacts to kill Zeus and and it was still hard to put him down. Powers depend on heritage.

My favorite thing was finally beating the queen of the Valkyrie
Kratos has ever right to not want to participate in ragnarok, given he left Greece to start a new life and forget what he did. But it appears kratos may have to get involved, for once ragnarok is in full swing all hell shall break loose.

Well according to santa monica twitter they just wrote the following: Dear fans, we at santa monica are fans of our fans and we are so thankful for the huge amount of feedback we have gotten since the announcement of ragnarok. We are aware of your concerns and we hear you. With that being said we have decided to take your advise and not rush this game. We at santa monica would rather as you the fans say "take our time" and give our fans a polished game instead of "a buggy mess." With that being said we have now decided to indeed, take our time and aim for a 2025 release date. Thank you to all of our amazing fans.
