A major theme of GoW Ragnarok is letting go. Kratos had to learn to let go of Atreus, so he can walk his own path. Atreus (and by extension, Odin) had to let go of their need for all the answers (the difference is Atreus succeeded when he chose to destroy the mask and close the rift, whereas Odin failed). Freya had to let go of her hatred towards Kratos for killing Baldur, and let go of all the pain Odin put her and Vanaheim through. Freyr had to learn to let go of Freya, after she married Odin, so that he could step up and lead the resistance, instead of expecting her come in and take charge all the time. Sindri had to learn to let go of Brok (which he still struggles with by the end of the game). Even Thor had to learn to let go of constantly complying to Odin's demands, and focus more on Sif and Thrudd. So by that logic, I think the devs want us to let go of the mystery of who blew that damn horn 😂😂😂

Both horn and mask questions will be answered in a lazy way in some DLC or future game only to shut us up, I guess. The creators let a lot of plot holes in the main story because they think we could swallow another father/son drama, which is pretty nice but far from the quality of the previous game though.

Some of these questions technically have answers. The pantheons all live in the same world, the world itself is a lot bigger. Mimir isn’t even from the 9 realms and to his own words in the previous game, he just walked from one land to another. Tyr traveled the world using the unity stone. There has to be a sort of natural way to leave your own land but for gods and other magical beings it must be harder for them because Mimir even said that Odin would try to conquer and rule over more than just the 9 realms if he could. The giants must have found one of these natural gateways and left the 9 realms so that they could hide from Odin. I think I know what the rift is. Athena ascended to something greater than a god this was confirmed by Cory Barlog and he even said that Athena gained vast unknown knowledge but when she did became overwhelmed and became just as bad as the other olympians. I think the rift and mask is a way to obtain that knowledge without the need to ascend. Athena managed it because if her pure selfless act of sacrifice to save Zeus, so the mask and rift is a shortcut

I think a main line God of war game will focus on a war with the Egyptian Gods. For the spinoff title, I feel Atreus will go to Ireland but not before he inherits Laevateinn from Surtr or at least Sinmara. Think about it. Why would Surtr craft so many swords if he was already going to use a giant Sword as Ragnarok? I think those swords were meant for a new generation of warriors to help defend the 9 realms after the war and Laevateinn was the perfect sword that he crafted and kept locked away to be inherited by a worthy leader of this new generation of warriors. Plus in mythology Sinmara locked Laevateinn in a Chest guarded by 9 locks so maybe at the beginning of said spinoff, Atreus goes to the next oldest giant, Sinmara, to search for clues and hints on where the other giants could be and she sends him on a short/slightly long quest to break open all 9 locks before he gains his newest weapon, though as a fiery replacement/equivalent of Ingrid(Ymir bless her and Freyr's souls)since it has been argued that Surtr's sword is possibly the same sword as both Freyr's Sword and Laevateinn.

For question 1. In an interview, I think Cory Barlog insinuiated that the different Pantheon Worlds exists in a manner similar to how the Nine Realms are portrayed in these games. Seperate worlds but are still somewhat connected. This is further proven due to the fact that the Greek World was stated to be a flat disk similar to how it's actually described in Myth, and nothing exists beyond that. So this could mean that when Kratos "killed" the Greek World, only that world was affected and not the others.
Ofc, this is counted by the fact that in some instances they make it sound like they are connected like in our world and you can simply walk between these areas, so it's up in the air.

And it makes even sense as Angrboda knows how to travel to places in Midgard and other realms without being seen as shown in Muspelheim when atreus was with thor. Which would explain why he lived after seemingly killing himself. Also if anyone says "Why didn't that curse ware off as all the gods are dead?" Because perhaps that curse is one that can't be broken like how ghallahorn could of been destroyed by odin so no one can invade asgard but kratos has said. "Some artifacts are beyond destroying." so perhaps it's part of why the blades return to kratos everytime he tries to throw them away.

Subsequently, a new God of War will be released which sees Kratos as the protagonist accompanied by Tyr and Atreus who towards the end of the game will reach his goal. In the middle Tyr reveals to Kratos that they will have to convince that Pantheon's God of War for a greater purpose. In another game Kratos and Tyr are forced to use strong methods and at the end of the game the three Gods of War reach a destination to visit Jesus, like the three wise men.

I think there is a familial resemblance between the two and multiple parallels that would suggest such a connection. This also makes sense when considering Atreus and Thrud. They have a connection that could easily be that of cousins. Plus I like to think of Thor as Atreus' drunk uncle. A not-so-pleasent thought is that would also mean Atreus brutally murdered his older cousin Modi in brutal tho...

As far as the setting and plot for the next game, I have thoughts. So, switching between different lores (Greek, Norse, Egyptian etc.) definitely will get stale after awhile for fans. So developers need to plan their next move very carefully. I think Egyptian gods are a very real possibility or maybe even the return of Titans or pagan gods or old gods that came before all gods idk. I think we're definitely not done with the realm tear that was connected to the mask there's no way they're going to leave that unanswered and we're definitely not done with giants. And whole thing with Atreus and Angrboda putting a soul back into the giant snake in the game is definitely a subtle yet direct acknowledgement that the mentioned snake is indeed jormungandr as they are technically the biological parents of it. And then you have Kratos and Freya who are just off doing their own thing to help the nine realms recover from Odin's tyranny which is pretty open-ended at this point. It's getting pretty ambitious and I'm not getting any younger lol
