Among the cymbopogon species, I believe that Cymbopogon citratus has the most lemony, gigerish flavor. Cymbopogon nardus. mostly use for essential oil production. Other species that are utilized in the perfume industry include Citronella Grass (Cymbopogon winterianus Jowitt), which yields citronella oil, and Cymbopogon martini, which is distilled into palmarosa oil. For mosquito repellant, use agarwood or wax formulated with concentrated citronella oil.
