22:05 Oh baby! A triple!
You did a really great job narrating this level - and your skills are really impressive.
In my opinion, I really believe this level is even more difficult than "Go 2 It" - Map 32 of Plutonia. As challenging as "Go 2 It" is, that level cannot hold a candle to "Ending." I just finished completing "Ending" last night - it literally took me more than 12 hours to complete. I must of experienced more than 150 deaths and had to use 30+ save slots as checkpoints. Not to mention the 1,200+ count of enemies to slaughter, "miles" of area to explore and 15 secrets to uncover. The final "circle of death" area caused me the most pain - it almost seemed impossible to avoid the plethora of missiles, fireballs and bullets even while running to find the multiple switches.
Wowee, what a map…! It’s so titanic that it’s hard to hold in your head while playing. You did so damn well, especially keeping your cool with frustrating points. :p it’s a little exhausting to my tastes but totally worthy of a final map, 100%. Really looking forward to your next project!
Thanks Edz! I was definitely feeling burned out by the end of it. Because of its sheer size, this is one I can’t really recommend to play in one sitting like this haha. But it is a great closer to the whole adventure. And now, off to new projects! Thank you again man :D
These are the ruins of a derelict city, with a broken down factory and so many enemies and one infight after another. And you finally get to the mastermind... which turns out to be a Bio-Tech from the Blake Stone series who plays computers, including Doom! And after a long fight, you get to chill at the beach and the bar soaking up the sun. What a well-deserved ending.
15 secrets scattering all over a gigantic mega map? My brains is melting! It's nice to catch up your progress of this mega wad. Frankly the whole walkthrough is quite entertaining to watch and your commentaries somehow makes me think of BMD😅
I'm lookinG forward to watching your future project, well done, LBF👍✨
It's almost inconceivable how much planning went into designing this wad.
Even though it has It's frustrating moments It's still an impressive feat of mapping (to say the least)
This wad was like a journey well spent!
Epic! Hope you're doing great man!
Congratulations on completing Lost Civilization LBF! That is a long video indeed. Lost Civilization was indeed a fantastic wad to play here! Now that you completed this wad, what will you do next in any case? 🤔 I can think of some more horror game? Other unexpected game? Who knows. In the mean time this was an amazing video here! 😃👏
Thank you Luke! It was a pleasure to see you along for the ride. There's a lot up in the air in terms of the next game, but I'm leaning towards something that's been a long time coming :D
This map is titanic, but that is not its problem. Its problem is that it is so long-winded and not easily digestible in one go. My way to complete it was to mentally divide the map in 3 or 4 sub-divisions (topside before the green forcefield, base interior before green forcefield, and both areas beyond the forcefield) that I cleared out individually before moving on. And for goodness sakes, _carry over the BFG._ This map doesn't give you one, and that hurts the pacing like a caltrop hurts a war horse.
Agree to disagree on the midi. Gatehouse is a good composition, as pretty much everything Jimmy has posted over the years, but it is not motivating, but rather exhausting on repeated loops, which for a huge map like this, can demotivate a player. I swapped it for Engage, the music from map11 (Nightmare), and was more appropriate to push me to run around the map, nosing at the Doomcute and wiping out the whole garrison. (Doesn't help that I'm no fan of the Heretic vibes from Gatehouse.)
That's the end of Lost Civilization right after the end of Resurgence. Waiting for your next let's play.
Awesome job on Doom.
Man I really enjoy your gameplays. Keep it up!
Thank you sir!
Another let's play in the record books
25:46 = Free Imp Hugs, "Near Death Edition".
Lost Civilization is a weird megawad.
Starts out in ancient villas, castles, and even a freaky dream sequence. Then logic is thrown out the window and map 16 switches to modern/futuristic tech base for reasons and I have to wonder what is going on. Was all the initial stuff just like a holographic adventure and by map 18 we exited that holographic adventure and are back into the real world?
If you think this is weird, wait until you find Lost Civilization II - The Desolation. It's even more trippy.
I need to check this all out later .. but thats a BioTech from Blake Stone! maybe a hint that its time for a full Blake Stone playthrough ;)
I forgot that’s who that was haha. Ooh, that would be fun! But I can’t really commit to doing Blake Stone, unfortunately. I don’t have enough time to dedicate to it at this point
34:51 = Frustrating like those one-way doors in Castle Totenkopf.
15:34 = Empty, empty? Or deceptively empty? Maybe there is a super secret area in that room... could always check in doombuilder or something.
13:00 = That barrel killed you before, didn't it?
WHAT...A...MAP! Is this the PrBoom plus port? It looks familiar but a few things are different, like the color of blood?
It’s DSDA-Doom, which is based on PrBoom. The blood colors are from a different mod file
👍🏻
When will you be playing blood 2????
Blood 2? Oh nah lol
LBF my man, Jedi Academy anyday? 😩
Soon!
@@LightningBoltForever Oh yeah, I wanna see those cultist suffer 👾
