- Spear of Destiny Floor 8: Guard Post
This floor has a couple of quirks that makes it either easy or irritating depending on whether you aim for 100% completion or not. If not, then it will be easy to complete.
I've heard a number of people say that this is a confusing level, and I guess it can be with a lot of corridors and nooks. My strategy was to start from the center and proceed towards the edge of the map one layer at a time. First take out all the enemies who are in the same space with you. Don't open any doors and try to prevent the SS from wandering in other rooms. This way you can fight the enemies in batches instead of all at once. If you want 100% kills, let out the seven SS in secret 1 first. Otherwise they'll prevent the push wall from opening once they are alerted and it becomes impossible to get all kills.
In terms of treasure, I decided to choose a direction in the blue section and circle around the map until I find everything, beginning from the area around the elevator and then checking each room from one end to another.
The most annoying thing on this floor is that some of the guards wonder off instead of coming for you, and you might not even realize it until you've reached the elevator, unless you hear the guards opening and closing doors somewhere. I think they are guards from the the yellow section who move to the blue dungeon once the shooting starts. The only way I was able to prevent that was by checking if anyone was near the doors taking them down before they could exit.

One of the best childhood PC game ever.
It's a classic for sure! I'm still having so much fun playing it.
No matter what you say, I hate this Map with a passion.
Haha! You certainly have the right to do so. And in all honesty, I think it's down to luck whether the guards go wandering around or not. I played this level a few times, and probably on two out of three times one of the guards was hiding in the blue area after I thought I got them all.
