@@austinreed7343 I'm actually planning on making a Wolf3D mod where you fight Mussolini. Also, quick thing: This isn't Hirohito, rather the slightly insensitively named "Hiroshima Hyoto".
Everyone's all saying Hiroshima Hyoto says "Achtung! (Look out/Danger)" upon greeting the player. To me, I hear "Ach so! (I see)," which was also said by Barnacle Wilhelm in Spear of Destiny. The sound clip could even be a pitched up and possibly lowered (in quality) version of Barnacle Wilhelm's message, but I'm unsure of that. Edit: Yep, comparing them together, Hiroshima's greeting is definitely an altered version of Barnacle Wilhelm's. Pretty clever how it managed to hold up.
I never understand why did Id software and John Romero after success in Wolfenstein in Germans castle never create Wolfenstein in Japan castle, against samurais, ninjas, sumos, shoguns, kamikazes etc
When you think about it, Japan is a scarier enemy than the Nazis and I wish there were more games about the pacific theater of war and fighting the Japanese but Nazis seem to be the more popular enemy :/
So far there's none yet (at least according to my research on Google or RUclips), there is however a mod based on Winter War where you fight the Soviets as a Finn (which I forgot the name but remember seeing the playhthrough of it decade ago), so yeah. This SoR 2011 mod is the closest we get for Wolfenstein 3D set in Japan.
The story is that after you killed Hitler in the first game, the Nazis escaped to Spain with the spear in an attempt to resurrect him. This boss is hanging out in Spain with them as a refugee.
@@hshs6723 he's supposed to be saying Osu, which is popular with martial artists. To me, it sounds like what Barnacle Wilhelm says. Anyhow, seems reasonable that he speaks at least a little German, if we need an in world reason.
Wowsers. A Wolfenstein game that takes place in Japan, looks cool. I like how you face Hirohito in this stage.
I’d love to see Italy in a Wolfenstein game.
This really doesn’t take place in Japan. It’s just that the boss is a different.

I wonder if there is a Wolfenstein mod where you fight the IJA instead of Nazis? Well, this will probably be the closest we can get.

Is the background music, "Turning Japanese" by The Vapors?
Yep.
why do the non Nazis disintegrate?
Only the clones do. The Nazis die like normal.
Because they're Spanish farmer poo clones.
If only there were Japanese troops in the Japanese levels.
