haha. hope you find this video interesting! I just re-watched too 5th Marched 2024 ! So glad we have done it ! if you have not cycled around the island, you should do it too ;)
Thanks for posting the video. It gives me the inspiration. Riding around Singapore (and other Asian countries) is in my bucket list. Can't wait for the pandemic to go away so I could cross it off the list.
haha, Thanks !. The other lady Karen (Jacqueline is my wife) requested to go Tuas Lamp Post 1, so we went ! haha, that was a few years ago. We cycled really slow, 23 hours! Tua Lamp Post 1 took us a few hours ( to & fro), it is worth it as it is our bucket list to make a really round island to the edge of Singapore. you can plan it in 2-3 days. Stay at Raffles Marina, or some hotels to rest and chill overnight! We did it in one day which is very tough for us as semi-experienced amateurs ! Pieceing this video took me a long time as I have to combine footages taken from multiple camera devices.
I'm planning to do RTI tomorrow, will start in Sengkang east to Changi-> TMCR. mostly i will ride on the road so i can finish it around 8hrs. your RTI is super looongggg. great Job.
It’s a nice video. I regret I didn’t do a RIR during the pandemic. I need to bucket list before I leave Singapore Some areas are rough. I imagine most people use the road
Thanks! Sorry for late reply. I just came back to watch my epic round island 🏝️ 🚴♂️ cycling! Yes, some parts of the road is abit rough, generally okay as we take the safer pcn & road pavements only. Think the pcn improved a lot since 2021, you will have a more enjoyable RIR cycle! Just do it! It’s something you will remember for life.😊
You meant the overall route ? I used Strava for the whole route, then I export the GPX data from Strava & upload to an app named Relive. And I did some editing to add the stop points.
Singapore is slightly smaller than New York and it looks small on the map. Until you try a round-island bicycling trip. It's easily 140km and riding through the night is key to your success.
Sure you can 👍👍. My friend Karen did a similar route a second time with her other friends, but this time she did it in 3days 2Nights with hotel 🏨 stay. Do it at your own pace, don’t have to do it within 24hours, can split them into few parts
My wife & I are using same model of Cannondale mountain bikes. When my thicker tyres got worn off, I changed my tyres to a slimmer one. My wife friend karen is using her bro’s bike. Not sure what brand.
nice ride and trail....greeting friends cyclist from Malaysia..keep safe and healthy...get in my footage..some cycling route in Malaysia have been recorded..for entertainment and share the same awesome hobby....get in....hope enjoy it and keep success
We tried to cycle on PCN and road pavement as much as we can (95%). Only got a few stretch (5%) at neo tiew, lim chu kang and Jalan buroh, no pavements! So no choice, cycle on the road.
Watching this in Feb 2024, you guys are amazing! 🎉

17km per h is a remarkable speed for such casual riding. You did so well!
