Going back in with the airbrush after the basecoat is done to apply the dust layer takes guts. Excellent finished product. Thanks for showing these techniques on video.
I have an Eclipse SP(side mount so I can use bottles for canvas stuff), and I love it. I am probably going to get something more expensive with a finer tip at some point, but I will be using this airbrush as long as it lasts.
Absolutely amazing, fired my enthusiasm back up. Great tutorial start to finish. Please explain what you used at 1.12.04 in the video on the hatch lense / viewing window. Beautiful instant glazed effect.
Very nice old chap, as ever with demonstrating a skill, you make the 'dark arts' that is actually talent look easy. There is a lot of very subtle work there, and you always give me ideas for a different approach. I tend towards WW2 modelling, but some of this 'urban wasteland' paintwork really makes a nice contrast to the standard dry brushing and pin wash work that gives such a generic look. P.S. I absolutely loved the length of the video and the soothing music. Very hypnotic.
Where can I acquire the decal sheet you used for this video? I believe it was a GW item for a time but I can't seem to track another one down. Any sugestions you have would be greatly appreciated.
I know that this is an old video, but great work, also the primer you use, I use it but I always get this rubber like layer that if not handled correctly can peel off, can I get some advice on how to use it? Cheers
OrcPainterNerd I think (but can't be sure because by the time I thought I might have realised what the problem might be it was too late!!) it might be that the instrument panel (towards the back of the cabin) is too high and stops the top plate from sitting flush. If I ever build another LR I'll try leaving it out.
Very good. ooks so unlike all the GW kind of more toy ike painting. I like it! Must try this some day. If i ever paint a nother Raider. Have neough as is :D
Superb job! You do the 1st Legion proud brother!! Where did you get that massive transfer sheet @32:14? It's great?!?! I think a bit more mud up the back of the treads and the front assault hatch where it would naturally clog up would have looked a bit more realistic! For The Lion and For Teh Emprah Brother!!
Magnificent work and a most instructive video detailing the process. Whether new to the hobby or not this is of great assistance. What pieces of music did you use as they are make the work a relaxing viewing?
Love the video as always. Could you put the list of paints you used in the description pls? Would like to try the color scheme on a gundam model. Thanks!
+MR Pepper vallejo model air and game air paint are better for airbrushing for sure. hand brushing games workshop paints are still great apart from those silly pots they come in :)
great video and fantastic job on the tank, can honestly say your videos have helped my painting massively and I'm now looking to buy my first airbrush any recommendations on a compressor to go with the Iwatta eclipse in this vid?
Paul Jones I have been using this compressor for 2 years now and going strong airbrushes.com/product_info.php?cPath=400_403_2_41&products_id=567. most spar max and iwata compressors will last you a long time and perform really well. I hope this helps
Hey what a really nice paint video i love following your work and i have been painting for some time my self i see your using the Iwata Eclipse CS airbrush is this a good brush for fine detail on miniatures i was going to get Harder & Steenbeck Infinity Solo as a step up to my veda-180 atm im having trouble with my air brush its spiting the paint more than spraying can't seem to find the problem and i only use acrylic paint with thinner if you could give me some more info on what airbrush you recommend and if the problem with my airbrush is me and not the brush i would love that keep posting more paint vids too :)
+WowSculpt if your airbrush is spitting it could be the paint is to thick try thinning a little with water if acrlic or the correct aibrush thinner for your pain.t it could be there is a tiny blockage at the nozzle try cleaning the air head the nozzle and airbrush cup see if that helps. regarding the iwata its a fantastic brush and you can get pretty fine detail with it although a harer and steenbeck infintity os evolution with a 0.2mm needle nozzle set will give finer details.
Thanks to many of your videos I am now looking to buy an airbrush! By the way, what's the soothing piano music you used for this video? It sounds very relaxing, something I would hear while painting.
when you spray paint, I noticed you get pretty close to the mini. I am new to air brushing, are you painting at a lower psi or are you not pressing the air portion as hard? when i tried painting closer it just splashed my paint everywhere. thanks in advance.
well best tutorials i have ever seen made by you sir one thing i dont see u talk about psi how much psi u go with when u prime , preshading , and so on also do u change the needle like when u prime u use 0.4 when u preshade u use 0.2 and so i am not thar pro painter and lookinmg forward to be better hope u explain it to me sir thank you so much
+IQscale Modeller Hi I normally prime and base coat at about 20psi and drop this down to 15psi for fine detail. I also use different airbrushes for different jobs so a 0.4mm is used for priming and varnish work and I use a small needle nozzle for fine detail work :)
jimmyp2508 I am collecting Dark angels and age of sigmar minis at the moment but want to be a little cheecky and use my age of sigmar chaos minis to start a 40k chaos army at some point.
That Land Raider is incredible OPN. I've got about 8,000 points of Dark Angels (sadly most is unpainted :( ) One question, I'm confused where did all the green vents go? You spent a bit of time painting them green and then I don't see where they ended up on the completed model. If you're not in the commission business you should be. Well done.
The ideal job to do on a bank holiday Monday when its raining outdoors. Excellent video.
Going back in with the airbrush after the basecoat is done to apply the dust layer takes guts. Excellent finished product. Thanks for showing these techniques on video.
Toshi Silver Thanks mate deffiently a good technique to use :)
hands down the best tank i have ever seen
I finally got a chance to sit and watch this video and I was not disappointed. Beautiful job OPN. Your tutorials are thorough and very well done. :)
There is only few how to paint landrider vids out there and your is great, thanks for sharing, it was pleasure to watch you paint this badboy:)
Painted4U thank you
WOW very impressed. Attention to detail was not missed. Learned a lot.
Love the long format! Great background
I have an Eclipse SP(side mount so I can use bottles for canvas stuff), and I love it. I am probably going to get something more expensive with a finer tip at some point, but I will be using this airbrush as long as it lasts.
Christopher Raff you will be using it for a very long time then lol Iwata made to last :)
Absolutely amazing, fired my enthusiasm back up. Great tutorial start to finish. Please explain what you used at 1.12.04 in the video on the hatch lense / viewing window. Beautiful instant glazed effect.
Damn, that's really impressive. I need to get my hands on an air brush some day.
angrymini i hope you do you will love it

Beautiful Land Raider
one word = ABSOLUTEFANTASTIC!
looking at the instructions @20:25 - you put the sponson lascannons in the wrong place?
White interiors are probably what I'm gonna do when I paint a tank or vehicle from the imperium to really emphasize the militaristic function.
Thanks for sharing this dude.
TheGunplameister your welcome mate :)
A belter of a video mate. Earned a sub from me. 🤙
I really, really like your wh40k work, I hope you keep it coming! ;-)
+Jakub Vosahlo thank you Jakub more videos to come and will work on some tutorials over the coming months
Hi, great video. I think to do it soon. Could you say what the reference of green to use for the interior, please ?
I know that this is an old video, but great work, also the primer you use, I use it but I always get this rubber like layer that if not handled correctly can peel off, can I get some advice on how to use it? Cheers
Looks like your model went together as well as mine - badly!!
Nicely done mate.
Justin Bennett lol the top plate is not the best on such an old kit but to be honest went together not to bad :)
OrcPainterNerd I think (but can't be sure because by the time I thought I might have realised what the problem might be it was too late!!) it might be that the instrument panel (towards the back of the cabin) is too high and stops the top plate from sitting flush. First impression: OMG a new video tutorial!
Second impression: OMG it is 1 hour and a half long!
MrMaffy96 lol it was a long video hope you enjoyed it though :)
Verry nice paint work dude. Really like your work
Benoit Vanderzippe Tahnk you
Great work and good video. Any reason you don’t use a spray booth? Mush safer to use one.
I do use a booth now 😊
Very good. ooks so unlike all the GW kind of more toy ike painting. I like it!

For The Lion and For Teh Emprah Brother!!
+utubenoobie01 Hi mate I bought it driect from GW. The sheet cost me £15 it is a real stunner :)
Nice vid man, very helpful. Maybe a pop-filter in the future?
Magnificent work and a most instructive video detailing the process. Whether new to the hobby or not this is of great assistance.
What pieces of music did you use as they are make the work a relaxing viewing?
+VF308 I think the track is called music for mantees from incomteck.com
excellent video I learned a lot. Bravo!
where did you get the decals, you used on top of the Land Raider?
Beautiful.
Fantastic tutorial. Personally I don't mine the length of the video.:)
Nibenonn glad you liked it bud
if you dont inend o pain he inside can u paint it when fully built?
Outstanding! Love your tutorials! Do you have a list of everything you used in this?
+Steve Moroski Thank you Steve sorry I do not have a list and its been many months since painting so honestly can't remember everything I used :)
+OrcPainterNerd Understand. I will just watch again and take good notes!
Wouldn't it be easier to undercoat/pre shade + fully paint whilst all the bits are still attached to the spures??
Love the video as always. Could you put the list of paints you used in the description pls? Would like to try the color scheme on a gundam model. Thanks!
Can you explain the filter stage in a bit more detail please? Is it an oil paint based wash?
fantastic stuff..!
I love Wifi just watched this grate tutorial in my tent at Lick Hill Manor camp site Stourport. Love it mate!
Oh I've messaged you on Facebook :)
stuart Lathe I repplied bud looking forward to going, i have a apoc game the next day so going to big one sweet weekend :)
Sounds sweet so get ready for another weekend of it in November for both days of scale model world Telford :)
Nice vid!
Im just about to start using an airbrush to paint 40K but i really love the paints you use, are they better than the warhammer paints?
+MR Pepper vallejo model air and game air paint are better for airbrushing for sure. hand brushing games workshop paints are still great apart from those silly pots they come in :)

I just sub'd to your channel... Great work indeed... Could you please discuss the pressures (from compressor) you are using?
+Dwight Kuhl normally between 15 and 20 psi
Крутая работа чувак!=)
At about 37 minutes in you are using a "filter"? What product is this? It's a really good result.
Same question.. did anybody find out the answer?
Thanks for the Vid. I have a question, as i will start airbrushing, how much primer did you need?
+Holger Steitz not much primer but I always buy my primer in big 200ml bottle as it is something I use all the time.
Nádherná práce!
Thanks to many of your videos I am now looking to buy an airbrush!
By the way, what's the soothing piano music you used for this video? It sounds very relaxing, something I would hear while painting.
Two years on this is still a great find - excellent tutorial thanks.
What brand of primer do you use with your airbrush?
Thank you I'm really glad you like the video :)
when you spray paint, I noticed you get pretty close to the mini. I am new to air brushing, are you painting at a lower psi or are you not pressing the air portion as hard? when i tried painting closer it just splashed my paint everywhere. thanks in advance.
what do you use for a topcoat? i hear some people use pledge.. I want to start painting my gundams and want to clear coat using an airbrush.
thanks
What filter exactly do you use? I've watched a lot of your videos and use them as guides for myself though I do differ sometimes but they are awesome!
i like the music, what is it?
good video i wouldent have the patience to wait 24 hours lol
well best tutorials i have ever seen made by you sir

how much psi u go with when u prime , preshading , and so on

ArynCrinn nope just a very tight fit. in the end as ace venturura would say "LIKE A GLOVE lol
Cold beer I think... 😀
Steven Baker I will join you :)
Wow!!!
great job,but the music is mind numbingly boring :)
paint job is very pretty, narrative and direction quality is low.
