Hey buddy. I know this is an old video. I just saw the part 1 mod video of yours and then I watched this video which had the vvti coils, and it sounds significantly different. Gives me comfort. Lol. I have a JDM NA MKIV, and I'm almost ready to go on this mod. Kudos to you for doing this and thanks for posting it here for the masses. Cheers! I'm planning to do this mod first, then going turbo like you. I didn't seem to find any other video that you did the NA-T mod specifically. I'm in SoCal, wish someone around here can give guidance other than the forums. Lol. Thank you again, man!
Hi good night great job on the conversion could I ask how to find the signal for speed or is there something to do to get the instrument pannel speedometer to work
Did you reach the boost limits with the stock distributor? I’m fighting a breakup issue in my Supra right now - and this is the last resort for me. I will have to link it to the AEM V2
looks sweet, i was wondering which ignitror module that is specifically, and if you have the wiring schematic for it, im looking to go from dizzy to a coil system on my own 2jzge
It's been awhile since I messed with the car, but the stock dizzy is still hooked up and has a CPS built into it so the signal is there. I think the difficulty comes when you want to remove the dist completely. I can say one thing. The car does have a jdm Mines tuned ecu and it runs stronger than any other 2jzge I've owned which is quite a few of them
@@vela07 oh I see. I want to run 400 hp on the stock dizzy. I will attempt to do it without this mod. Should i runt the JDM GTE ecu or do i have to get a piggyback .
Not sure why you'd do that. The point of this is to use the GTE ecu that's tuned for boost. You could totally swap over to the jdm ge ecu, but that's not getting you much for the amount of work
And I think vvti works mainly based on valves opening and shut time adjustments along with fuel , But here we are only modifying coils what difference will we get ?

Ok thanks I'll check it out
Stock GE injectors or did u swap them ?
Hey is this running with stock Injectors ?
Hey question. Can you use the same igniter in a 7mgte?
Hi good night great job on the conversion could I ask how to find the signal for speed or is there something to do to get the instrument pannel speedometer to work
You have to jump a resistor on the speedo. The info is on #clublexus or #supraforums if you find my build thread there
Is the igt the green and with or black and white??
I did the conversion but under boost it just breaks up idle and cruise is fine, just wot breaks up?
cspek88 I am getting the same thing. Have you figured out why? Is it because the coils are loose with no bracket?
Problem fixed just had two wires melt and touch that I didn’t see when i put the heat shrink on
@@cspek88 Thanks, I will check that. I have been chasing my tail with this problem.

You probably need an ignition amplifier like the hks dli

noah nguyen dh61
It has the pins marked right on the housing, check club lexus for the full mod writeup
How are you running vvti coils on a non vvti, did u drill into the head to for the camshaft sensor?

Use the Dist for cam n crank signals or get a 97+ sc300/supra oil pump with a crank sensor

Would you beable to list the wires from stock to where in the ecu 1-4 cylinder?
Isf Ngu can you be more specific?
Have you checked the forum threads on club lexus?
Can this be accomplished with the GE ecu ?
Not sure why you'd do that. The point of this is to use the GTE ecu that's tuned for boost. You could totally swap over to the jdm ge ecu, but that's not getting you much for the amount of work
Hi good night IGT 2 and 3 that was ran inside what pin dose that go to if the distributor only had IGT and igf
Allan Folkes Allan, give me sometime and I'll find the pinout. Are you using 3 vvti coils or 6 gte coils?
Also, all the info you need is on thr clublexus forums. Just search for gte ecu swap vvti coils and you'll find the thread that Ali made
What difference can we get with distributor swap ?
And I think vvti works mainly based on valves opening and shut time adjustments along with fuel , But here we are only modifying coils what difference will we get ?
I'd really appreciate your help thsnks
I really wanna do this so you have instructions by any chance ?
Boost Technique search club lexus. It's all there
R Atom ok cool thank you!!
