The way I did it was I wired them in wasted spark. So you wire the 1st output to coils 1 and 6, the 2nd output to coils 2 and 5, then the 3rd output to coils 3 and 4. This is the easiest way without making any ECU changes. With a standalone ECU you can wire the coils in the firing order so outputs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 correspond to coils 1-5-3-6-2-4. The coils to use for this are the 1nz or some type of smart coil. This website has the pinouts for the 1nz coils. www.sq-engineering.com/tech-articles/coilpack-info-guide/ Hope that helps.
It depends on what you are running for your ECU. A standalone ECU can be wired with each ECU having its own channel. If you are using a stock COP ECU then yes the coils will share a wire to tell them when to fire (wasted spark).
@@r.a.w.performance6602 ok awesome thanks! I’m using stock JZX100 Ecu 1jzgte vvti. So I just run the wires directly to Ecu pinouts?I’m guessing i won’t need the stock ignitor anymore either. I’ve been struggling with it for years:( lost motivation but finally gaining it back lol
@@jsdrifts The wire from the ECU goes to 1 pin, one goes to 12v, and I believe the other goes to ground. There are pinout diagrams out there for the ignition coils.
I am not familiar with that coil or ECU. If you are going to run them you need to find out a few things. 1. The coil pinout. You need to know the ground, 12v, and trigger wire. 2. The firing order of the 1jz. Then wire the coils trigger wires to it appropriately. 3. The coil dwell time for the ECU settings. You need this for the coils to perform correctly. That is all the advice I could give. Sorry I couldn’t be more help.
@@r.a.w.performance6602 yes there is a distributor on it but it is causing problems I wanted to install new generation coils but it didn't fire, I experienced 2jz engine in the country
The igniter in the 2nd row is very difficult to reach .no . there is igniter in the bottom row but 3 exits.connecting coils 1:6 and 2:5 will it fire or work?
I was thinking you can get one of those igniters and give it a try. You would have to wire it in wasted spark. So 1st output to coils 1-6, 2nd to 2-5, and 3rd to 3-4. Are you running a standalone ECU?
Someone needed to make this video, clears a lot of things up, thank you!
great video dude, a lot of valuable information and easy to follow, cheers
As you said, I bought the igniter and coil in the middle row, I made the wiring, but it does not fire ECU 2jz-ge
This information is very helpful
I have a 1gzze 1998 mark2 with the same set up with three coils could the six coil use in my car please help

hello, we talked before, I helped, thank you
How do you wire the smart coils to the Ecu pinouts? I only see 3 options that share cylinders. I can’t figure out what to do about that. :(

I bought the middle row product, but I can't wear it, can you help me?
So what do you do for the cam signal if your deleting the distributor setup?
The cap is gone but the rest of the dizzy is there. Driftmotion sells a cover.
@@r.a.w.performance6602 awww okay so your still using the internals of the dizzy just deleting the cap portion?
@@natebrown5212 Exactly! 😁
Can you tell me which color goes where on the 2 pin coils pls
The polarity does not matter. 1 wire goes to coil trigger and the other goes to the +B. You must have the proper igniter to use with the coils.
Ok thank you it's the right ignitor just the coil connectors are damaged and I wasn't sure if I'd connect them correctly

i have 2jzge 96 i have 6 coils in the 2nd row i don't have a black box i have the engine how can i attach it
Without the igniter box you can’t. You can only run the smart coils without the igniter.
Did your 2jzge come with a distributor?

2jz-ge not running ecu
Can i go from bottom row to middle one
You will have to wire them in wasted spark unless you have a standalone ECU. You will need the igniter in both cases.

How does one delete the igniter if going with the smart coil pack?
The only way I know of is to run a stand-alone ECU. All the stock ECUs use an igniter with dumb coils or a distributor.
