- After searching for an available dirt jumper for some time, I scored a 2021 Pivot Point. This thing is sick, and in this video, I add some finishing touches and do a bike check.

GET OUT AND GET SHREDDY! Even if you're not into mountain biking, spend time outside and try something you haven't done before. Get out of your comfort zone and enjoy a new experience, preferably on a bike! If I can do it, so can you. Спорт
Almost didn't click due to the pedal placement in the thumbnail picture. Glad I did, cause she's a beaut Clark!
Dude, Same here! So glad I changed my mind. I’ve been DJ curious for a while. This one looks rad 🤘
LOL I knew you would say something about that.
Rich, get in the pool with me. The water's warm.
It's going to happen, Eric, just a matter of when....haha!
Loved this video, those brass pedals and head tube cap look so sick on that beast.I got my first dirtjumper last year at 44y and love it so much.Currently on chromoly Transition BPJ
Right on! Good to see you over here from the DJ FB group.
Congrats
Thanks!
Sweet Ride !
Sure is! Thanks!
Gum/skinwalls are cute on EVERY bike 😎
WANT/NEED!!!
For sure, but ESPECIALLY on dirt jumpers.
i have one arm as well and im getting a prosthetic like urs i know how hard it is so nice freaking job
That's super cool! I honestly don't even notice 98% of the time since I've been this way for almost 41 years.
Nice man!
Thanks Derek! I hope you're doing well!
I got your prosthetic and I gotta say it changes my biking forever
Oh sweet! Yeah it's pretty great. Same terminal device (from wrist down)?
@@nofrontbrakes its from my elbow down so its pretty long
nice. i'm waiting on my white state black label to ship. gonna go with gold accent parts, cause i love em lol.
Sweet. I was looking at one of those in the Dirt Jumpers Classifieds FB group.
@No Front Brakes
You’re a very cool guy. I hope you get 1,000,000 subs on your channel.
Thanks.
nice
Thanks!
Just got this bike also . I like the bronze theme your going for👌 the leather or pleather seat is such a nice touch isn’t it ?!
Yeah. I was going to go purple, but with the brown seat, bronze is cleaner.
sick af. DJ’s are a stupid amount of fun. Just broke a finger on mine 😔
Yikes. I can't wait to put this one through the novice ringer.
Nice video! Im looking to get one of these bikes within a month or so, and this is literally the only review that I found. I have some questions: does the bike come with inner tubes (I suppose it does lol)? And are they presta or schrader valves? Also, how does the hub sound? Anyways, thanks for an awesome detailed review :)
Mine was set up tubeless. Presta valves. The hub is quiet right now, but like most hubs, will probably get noisier over time.
Okay, thanks a lot!
I went to peddler the other day and watched some one buy the last one, I was so sad cause I almost have enough saved to buy a DJ 😭
I'm sure he'll have more of these or more PBJ's soon. I moved on it as soon as I heard.
is there a reason you don't use hopes duo brakes? they let you use both brakes with one hand, which seems like it would be really useful for you.
On the DJ, I don't need two brakes. On my MTB, I wouldn't mind, it's just pretty pricey for the initial setup.
I got your back bro! Let's go jump some stuff!! By the way, I have a YT Tues downhill bike on the way to my house right now :0
Oh wowwwww... did you pick up a DJ or will you be meeting me with your BMX?
hey so i was just wondering if this would be a good frame for me to get im 6'2 and though if any one would have the answer i would be someone who rode the bike
Yes. It's a solid frame. I'm 6'. It is a DJ so it will feel smaller than a MTB, but larger than a BMX.
@@nofrontbrakes ok thank you
Uhhhhggg, now you got me looking at dirt jumpers again. 🤦♂️
Dude. Rode it these weekend at a huge concrete park. Super fun!
Nice bike! What size is the stem cap?
Aren't they standard?
How did you like this frame?
I like it a lot. I go ride this at least once a week, which is waaay more than my old DJ.
How much is a bike like this?
Depends. I think I paid $1800 USD, but with the bike market how it is, you might be able to get one cheaper.
You should have bought from cycle Progression
I have not shopped there. AJ at Peddler is a friend and bikes are scarce, not to mention that Peddler is probably closest to home. Nothing against Cycle Progression.
I assume you won't be doing bars spins, but I would add a front brake. But for those that want both brakes and want to do bars pins, you can have front brake if you used a gyro, Trickstuff has a hydraulic gyro. But it's out of stock www.trickstuff-shop.de/SSTX
So you could have front brake run tru the steerer, and rear brake tru the gyro. I've not tried one.
Not sure how it is there, but 98% of DJs here have no front brake.
@@nofrontbrakes not legal to ride that in Norway, need two fully functional brakes for it to be legal to rid eon the road or bikepath, so by the law I would have to walk it to the pumptrack. Hefty fine too.
@@mtbboy1993 WAT? What do BMX riders do? Many have no brakes
@@nofrontbrakes BMX and DJ bikes come with both brakes. some dj bikes are listed without front brake, but that would not be street legal. reflex, and a bell are also needed.
thee fine is 1200NOK so 137.16 USD I think it's a good thing for safety.
Two brakes working independent of each other.
Norwegian bicycle technical requirement laws: www.vegvesen.no/trafikkinformasjon/trafikksikkerhet/sikker-pa-sykkel/tekniske-krav
but i would have to have both brakes anyway, not safe enough with only one.
buy yes many riders ignore that law.
how are the laws in USA?
@@mtbboy1993 lol there are none except if you’re riding on the road at night, have lights.
Nah
Nah what?
@@nofrontbrakes nah I don’t like and it looks like a bike for a 10 year old. My opinion !!
Gotcha. It's not a trail bike. Different strokes I guess.
@@nofrontbrakes yep
