I have been a long-time Pinky fan. The thing that strikes me the most about his playing of the Kreutzer is that of nobility. Zukerman always gives a distinguished performance with musicianship par excellence. He always plays in good taste with a full, rich tone 7 brilliant phrasings. This is the first time I've seen Marc Neikrug perform & I'm VERY impressed. The piano score is equal to the violin in difficulty & he handles it with finesse.
It just looks so effortless for these two but you are looking at great innate talent coupled with thousands of hours of practice and steely determination. Zukerman is a genius of violin like his friend Perelman and all the greats of yesteryear.
Terrific rendering of this Titanic work. Good balance between the two instruments. Sometimes I get the feeling that artists fight each other in the first movement. Not here. They are equals but they aren't yelling at each other. Make sense?
The best sound technology among all other version I heard so far, but personally I am so used to L. Kogan's expression and style towards the music, that just one person's opinion.
Now try the remastered vinyl version by Francescatti and Casadesus . All the Beethoven sonatas are there. Francescatti and Casadesus have their own cloud in Heaven now. They were that good .

Never before have I heard two players play together so well as these duo. Perfect glove match!!!
For me, Zukerman is the greatest among the contemporary violinists.
This is a gem of a performance. Magnificent duo !
this is the best version of the sonata I've ever heard!

Greatest!? Hard to say. However, definitely one of the best bowing arms

My favorite Violinist
Outstanding team work! Strong performance of great music. A beauty!
Excelent pianist .Of course, Zukerman is one o f the best violinist of actuallity
This is probably my favorite performance of this piece because of how well they follow the original score.
Clean performance avoiding excessive interpretive liberties.
One does not simply dislike Zukerman playing Beethoven
Thank you for sharing, dear James.
Absolutely beautiful!
SUPERB !!!

Zukerman has recorded this sonata with Daniel Barenboim when both of them were young men at the height of their technical powers.

True
SONIDAZO
This is really the Mark Neikrug show with violin accompaniment by Pinchas Zuckerman.

PITTY, POUR SOUND OF THE RECORDING

Nifla !!!
Fast!!!
pianist cut the air
This being a violin sonata the piano is too loud...
Nope. Anne Sophie Mutter is way better than him.
lol
She performs too fast and not so profoundly as this guy.
There is no "better", only what you like more or prefer. Grow up.
