18:22 is the beginning of one of the most sublime and beautiful music´s moments ever. The magic of the inspiration of this piece is beyond any explanation and definition. Beethoven is the greatest artist that mankind has ever produced, by far.
Very good coperation. To musicians who know each other very much. The piano follow the violin exellent but it is also the opposit. Oistrakh listen also to the piano and is sencibel towards his companion.
Gran y excelente versio'n!!!!!!.-
+kittichord! Actually, if you look at the score, you will see Beethoven called these sonatas "Sonaten fur Klavier und Violine" - "Sonatas for Piano and Violin". He was the first composer to acknowledge not only the importance of the piano part but its difficulty. Both Schubert and Brahms followed suit.
Eduardo Guerra not comparing at all. Just saying that already Mozart's sonatas were composed as pieces for piano and violin, not as violin pieces with accompanying piano.
The best adagio I have heard. Just perfect ensemble playing from two performers at the top of their art.

Arnold kobiliansky
this speaks for itself - thanks fpc
Sonata for violin and PIANO. The instruments are co-equal.
+kittichord Yes, fair but they have different roles.

Mozart did that before Beethoven as well
+Ivaylo Dechkoff Mozart's violín sonates are like toys if we compare them against Beethoven's

after listening to this do not try mutters rendition, for your own safety ;)
Listening to Mutter is an imposition. She would be nowhere had Karajan not taken her under his wings.....
