I can’t believe how fortunate we were to have had such a tightly knit group of friends from this generation who are also genius musicians! I love this recording as well as the duets Perlman and Pinchas Zukerman played around this time, immortalized by Allegro Films, especially bc Zukerman played viola on a few duets...his playing is so exquisite. Then there is the “Trout” quintet (Barenboim, Perlman, Zukerman [viola], du Pre, and Zubin Mehta [bass]), as well as Fou Ts’ong. They have contributed so much!
Jaqueline du Pre playing the violin on her lap ... and accidentally switching to the violin part on her cello because she plays the music not the notes.
At parts it does seem like an amazing fireworks show is beginning and tension is building. Then other times it's like they are playing out a wide and carefree road trip on the violin and piano. I always want to.ask, "Where did you go?"
But sadly, 29 year old Schubert died a year after Beethoven, so Perlman would have to be his ghost. Not that it isn't possible! I often think Beethoven has taken up residence in my head! Lol.
Best version of the Krutzer As clear as a bell.
Vladimir e un grande

It is like a firework show in the brain. The best Kruetzer ever.

The most sublime music ever produced.
Best kreutzer I've ever heard. Beauty of music brings tear to my eyes.
Lord Beethoven
The immortal.
The immortal.
Very expressive and beautiful chemistry
I don't have perfect pitch but sometimes 24.55 will just randomly pop in my head with the exact same notes... It's such an expressive passage.
Гениально! И Бетховен, и исполнение.
This was one of the first cds I purchased as a teenager, out of a little shop in Braintree.
Thanks.
No se puede agregar nada: Beethoven, Perelman, Ashkenazy. La gloria
Extraordinaria interpretación! Una de las mejores y mi favorita 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
True perfection!
Have 80s Itzhak Perlman and Schubert ever been seen in the same room?
Schubert?
They are the same person

Thanks again.
Je découvre cette sonate après la lecture du livre de Emmanuel Dongala intitulé "la sonate à Bridgetower" que je vous recommande...
