Thanks Alex! If you run out of Root Pustule, you can always have either an aquarium filled with fish, or grow some plants next to your Bioreactor. That way you will always be self-sufficient :)!
I put 4 bio reactors in a large room and between those install 3 indoor growbeds and plant horseshoe shrub. Just pluck and refill. :D I was thinking about going nuclear but then again is it worth it since ya need to craft new fuel rods and dispose off the used ones? 🤔
Unfortunately there is not. The only "effective" creature that can be put into the bioreactor as fuel is the Artic Pepper Fish. But its far from being as good as Root Pustule. You can see a list of all bioreactor fuels and their values right here: subnautica-belowzero.fandom.com/wiki/Bioreactor
Manually throwing small baby animals into your bio-reactor, so that you are finally able to power your brand new surround sound system, is not so easy to forget. ... But ofc. totally worth it!
If you want to grow it yourself, i think it would be the fevered pepper. You can find all of the different fuel if you scroll down a bit on the page right here: subnautica-belowzero.fandom.com/wiki/Bioreactor
Around 3 and a half hour of gameplay, if you fill it up with root pustule. Just put some extra Root Pustule in a cabinet next to the bioreactor, and you will be fine for a very long while.
When you say "on 500 Energy", do you mean they each have "500/500" like 3:26? Also, what does your BioReactor's inventory look like, compared to the one in this video at 3:19? (Please take a screencap of the BioReactor Inventory screen and upload it)
One idea I saw was to have indoor growbeds next to the BioReactor. So when you come back to your base you can go to the BioReactor, turn to one side to grab a few seeds, then shove those seeds into the BioReactor. As you find better plants, you replace the existing plants with the better ones.
This was helpful
Thanks Alex!

These were literally one of the first things i got and I thought it was gonna be for a crafting recipe later game. Wish i had known sooner. Thx!!!
I feel like the best is gell sacks. You only need to collect 1, then you can just plant it near your base. It also gives a lot of power.

Is there a creature that can effectively power the bioreactor? Just like in subnautica 1 where you use the electric eel like creature.

Very informative 👍 Did you have to build your base computer on the bottom of the ocean when you began construction?
Why did I just remembered that you can put a pengling in there?

Hehe the small penguins
I put a charger down for my power cells for my seatruck and then put the cells in and my whole base shut down
What is the Best fuel that you can grow?

@@hakkettv6944 Thank you!
i use the reactor rods from the mercury and in normal subnautica i used sea treader poop or whatever
Sound really efficient!
How much time would you say, that the reactor rods lasts inside the reactor?
@@hakkettv6944 I've got no idea but they lasted me the entire rest of the game which was about like 12 hours and they didn't run out
Alright that's pretty cool :)!
I used a bladder fish :)
Baby penguins is the answer😊
How long does the fuel last?

I have 4 Reaktors in my Base all of them on 500 Energy but No one gives the Base Energy If i Turn my Base on i Always lose Energy

I use gel sacks or this battery plants, because you can grow them on masses! You have so unlimited fuel!
Also a very good idea!
I also use ribbon plants they grow fast theres lots of them, and give a lot of seeds: PERFECT

@@toddkes5890 Horseshoe shrubs are the best imo. They take up 4 tiles and fit all the slots of the reactor perfectly. Just pluck em and shove em.
