Omg the video turned out so good! I feel so honored to have drawn the thumbnail for such a cool video. Also, I too fear the warpers more than I fear ghost leviathans lmao.
To answer your confusion about the peepers in the primary containment facility, the Precursors weren't responsible for that. Those pipes were only there to provide oxygen and colder water to the Sea Emperor, and connect to the various alien vents you can find around the surface. The Emperor is the one that used it's telepathy to train the peepers to use those pipes to carry her enzyme cure to and from the prison, which is the only reason there's any life left on the planet. That's why the void surrounding the playable area is mostly devoid of life, those areas are too far from the pipe network, so the Kharaa killed everything out there (the Ghost Leviathans found out there are born in the Lost River, and don't live long lives out in the void).
@@topcloudspace No problem, sharing my absurd amount of obscure Subnautica lore is one of my treasured life goals, lmao. The world is incredibly well crafted, with some actually very unique and intriguing elements...that often get overshadowed by the game's admittedly mediocre writing.
Pretty sure that the reason the void is only dead because it is outside the crater, except for microorganisms. The ghosts dont go any further out, because the microorganisms have nothing to live off of away from the crater.
@@TytheGhost I don't think this is mentioned in any of the PDAs in the finished version of the game, just one of the many ways Below Zero's final story broke the timeline since the entire game was rewritten from scratch three times during early access, and the entire writing team was replaced twice, creating a fractured nonsensical narrative. But in the earlier versions of the story it was established that the extreme cold of Sector Zero slowed the rate of infection, as well as much of the life surviving on land since the strain of Kharaa on 4546B was largely a waterborne bacteria and struggled to spread through the air. That's what originally made the frozen leviathan so important, it was a semi-aquatic creature that was infected in the water and moved onto land before being frozen, creating the last surviving sample of Kharaa that Alterra could profit from. In the original story, Robin is actually the one who kickstarts the next part of the timeline in Natural Selection, where the Kharaa escapes 4546B and starts attacking the rest of humanity, because she sends a sample from the frozen leviathan up to the Vesper space station where Sam works (who is still alive and talks to you in this version of the story), and the Kharaa breaks containment there. But once again, the final version of Below Zero's story broke the timeline because Robin actually CURES the frozen leviathan, completely eradicating the bacteria.
If you manage to turn off the gun before Sunbeam arrives they won't save you but you'll get a secret dialogue in which they don't die, cause they'll use the Kessler Syndrome caused by the Aurora's scraps as an excuse to not enter atmosphere.
I'm playing through a hardcore game of Subnautica currently. I've beaten the story and cured the planet, but before I put the save down I have a goal of hatching all cuddlefish and building a base in every major biome, including the void. It's been super fun! I'm not excited for the crash zone, mountains, or dunes bases though.
@topcloudspace It's super fun! I don't think it adds any base difficulty to the game, but as someone who has done multiple playthroughs it has really reawakened the fear of this game's amazing atmosphere. The knowledge that you can't die for fear of losing everything really adds a lot for me. If you're on the edge about it, go for it!
@teme7354 Basically anything that you think is a biome I'm counting, but I'm not including different sections within the biome. I'm distinguishing the two blood kelp zones, the two mushroom forests, and the inactive and active lava zone, but not "creepvine forest" and "creepvine forest caves" or the different sections of the lost river. I may still build extra bases in those sub-biomes if they're cool enough. I already have a base near the cove tree in the lost river, but I may or may not make another one in another section of the river. I'm also still trying to decide whether or not to consider the grand reef and the deep grand reef separate biomes.
For the Aurora, you actually only need the laser cutter for everything you need from it. You can skip what you need the propulsion cannon for by jumping onto the cargo crate in the middle of one of the small ones and the big one, and from on top of that one you can sprint and jump onto the big cargo crate blocking you and then go over. You can get back out, too
@Lukasgamer17 there's a spot where you can use it to clear some debris and get in the ship on the lower left side it just gets you to the prawn suit area faster tho
The fact that you actually went around and found the plants instead of using the portals that in those seven rooms earlier that you didn't go through is kind of hilarious
I have never played subnautica, nor watched a video about it, but this. This was beautiful I don't know why really, but I became attached to all the things that he did, this video for some reason made me see things differently. 10/10 video, this is definitely one of my favorite youtube videos I have ever watched, well done.
there are three juveniles in the lost river one right next to the Gargantua leviathan fossil another above the hole that leads to the lava zone and another in the ghost forest there are three adult ghosts in the crater one in the blood kelp islands, and two in the grand reef and of course, the three in the void
Did you know that all the portals in the containment facility keafs to the location of the hatching enzymes plant locations? I know. I wasted hours myself
Intro under a minute!? Voice is chill!? Great game being played!? I just started the vid but I might subscribe... Edit: Alright, Im way further into the video now and holy crap, the editing is just, * Chefs Kiss *. Sound effects are on point, nothing is super over the top or annoying, music choice (especially D.O.G. and Yharron themes) are amazing. The Jacksepticeye "LAUGH" meme is something I never thought I'd see again but it fit perfectly where you put it. Jesus dude, best subnautica video I've ever seen hands down. Also, having the game sounds in the vid at almost all times really helps me stay immersed in the game, I know a lot of people who cut it entirely and just have their own sound effects and it gets really stale, so having it in, even in the background is nice.
For the seeds needed, 4 of them are actually in each hidden teleporter gates that you have activated with an ion cube (each teleporter takes you to a different biome and region which specifically has each seed needed, saving you lots of time). On the other hand, the 5th seed is in the enclosure in a small cave (the sea crown) along with an extra ion cube that's dropped there which you can use for activating the teleporter for the hatchlings to escape.
Blud ignored all the QOL things in the game 💀 1 there was an entry to the lost river designated for cyclops entry (it was at the life pot in the blood cell zone) 2 you can plant the blood celp fruits in the outside planter 3 the few rooms in the final alien facility had teleporters in them which would have led you to the ingredients for the hatching Enzyme :]
So... those portals you refused to use in the Primary Containment Facility actually just made it easier to get the seeds for the hatching enzymes. The portals teleport you next to the required plants.
30 seconds into the vid and there’s an edit of Vergil’s Mission completion animation from DMC5 and a hilarious Ghost Leviathan clip. Yep, I’m watching this all the way through.
I really respect going to the dead zone to scan an adult ghost leviathan. I've done the same in my first playthrough. However, as I continued playing the game, in my 2nd playthrough I realised that there are adults on the map too. One in the blood kelp zone and two in the grand reef. I must admit, it was surprising to see this big guy being, well... big guy, oddly bigger than before. It was bigger, cause I thought every ghost in the crater was juvenile. Also it almost destroyed my Cyclops. It was truly great feat, as till that point, the worst thread for my Cyclops was me myself and my incomoetent steering. Awesome video, enjoyed watching every part. 😸
Why build an energy cell recharger in the Cyclops? The Cyclops recharges docked vehicles automatically and if you for some reason need one extra, you can just swap it out from the Cyclops 6 pack and leave the big boy on a lava pool or geyser to recharge it you have the necessary module
After 100% of this game, I've learnt to ignore water filtration and build 2 food beds and fill them with melons since you only need 4 to 6 to be complete and use the other melons to restock the bed.
The teleporters in the facility each lead to the biomes you need the resources for the Enzyme so you don't have to travel all over the place looking for them Also I always use Chemical Apes for all my adventures whenever i play 🤣
You might not want to know this, but I can't resist: You could have put those 2 bloodoil in a grow bed and wait 10-15 mins to harvest them. Looks like you missed the perimeter defense upgrade for the seamoth. Nice video.
