You are the only person I have seen play this that caught the multiple fragment part of the scanning. Well done. I think you are going to have a lot of fun with this. Also, pre-hint, power storage is more important that power generating in a lot of ways. :)
Y;know, there's been a lot of talk about how this is similar to subnautica - but it's a bit deeper than that. See, if you pay attention, in one of a station's crawlspaces you'll find a fish from that game. Happy Hunting!
@@ChuckstaGaming there's another piece of supporting 'evidence', I suppose you'd call it; there's a cave that, along with some cool stuff, you'll find a familiar looking platform. The evidence for a 'shared' universe seems to be stacking up...
Been with this game pretty much from the start of early testing. Super fun to play, and the author has some very hilarious Easter eggs on the whole subnautica thing. :) Many great things to come, you should look thru the roadmap in game, it kinda sums up what's to come.
Looks good - and worth picking up. But I might wait for a few days. At the time of writing the Steam Winter/Christmas sale is in 3 days, so may as well just wait to see if the game gets a deeper discount, rather than the 10% launch discount it currently has! (Edit - Sod it - bit the bullet and bought it anyway! Started playing it, and before knew it had lost 6 hours in one sitting!! Damn you Spanj! )
Hope this is a full series! There’s still a lot of development planned for this game, so I am hoping you treat this like Planet Crafter and keep coming back when they add more stuff and a more in-depth story in the future!
10:08 "Coal is..." not found in space 😂 Coal is the petrified remnant of organic material, formed in the crust of planets by the pressure and heat of being deeply buried for a really long time, not conditions you are likely to find in an asteroid field. Scientific veracity aside, looks like a pretty fun game. Indeed quite reminiscent of the Subnautica style of survival game which is always nice since you are right, that was a fantastic game.
Have about 10 hours on this game so far. Outside things like "where can I get more fabric" (hint, the Theta-9 beds respawn and can be disassembled) it seems to be a good start.
You can , once you get the builder tool, make a "hatch" which will have an O2 supply, so build hatch, go inside, fill up O2 , and the exit and derez the hatch to get pieces. Rinse repeat.
Didn't hear about this game before this, so i certainly don't mind you being late to the party when i would have missed the party altogether without your video 😉
Been playing for a few days. It's very early in early access and not close to be fleshed out yet. Many obvious things are missing. But that's early access. It is more in depth than Subnautica on it's initial release. I was there first week of Subnautica came out and it didn't even have the world built except for the shallows.
A couple of weeks..... it released the 10th of December, so 6 days..... truthy 6 days is weeks in Britain, its no wonder they are always ahead of the rest of us.... : )
I played the playtest a while back and the game fell off my radar, and the reviews are not encouraging. But it will be interesting to see your take on it and if the game has improved some to possibly be worth another go.
Pay NO attention to where you want to set up your base, because for one: every thing you build with the habitat builder can also be fully recycled into basic components if you need to. Secondly, just like a certain planet terraforming game, you will need several FOBs along your adventures into uncharted territory.

Very, very cool. I'll have to keep an eye out for that. I only spotted the crawl space yesterday, after quite a few days of play!!!

@@burtvanheel128 Excellent, I'll have to go exploring more, and this is making me want to fire up Subnautica again, lol
The Scrapper tool can mine ores too, it just takes several hits to break them apart.
I can't wait until you get later in the game, where you find that in space no one can hear you scream, but your neighbours sure can! :p
anyone who has played subnautica will recognize the tools/machines in this game..basically the same thing, but in space, which is a good twist

Get the colored rocks on Astroids.
Great video! Hopefully you continue this
Definitely want to see more, so many bits and bobs to explore and things to build! Nice Video,ty

A first! A game I have played before you! This is a lot of fun and I look forward to seeing what you find that I miss, et. al. etc.

Nice start, apart from you missed a room in the asteroid base.
Doors with WIP work in progress, also this game has a crouch feature all the hints I will give you. Enjoy
Wooo, this game has balls! Looks like a cool game. Enjoyed the vid, hope to see more of this game.
The first time that I saw a streamer play this, I said it looked like a cross between Breathedge and Subnautica. It looks fun.

Breathedge similarities with, yes. I have played Astrometica a bit lately.
19:50 you need a laser for the straps in the corners of the container.
don't forget to explore some of the nooks and crannies on the big rocks. There are a couple hidden goodies.
huzzar! more space game goodness! will be interesting to see how you do compared to how i went about things
Ahhh... so "Wha' Happen To Da Planet Krafter" then. Cool. Looks fun. Will follow from afar.
great first episode progress. I finished what they have ready for us now. Hope they give us more soon.
only equip the scanner when you need to scan ( if you dont wanna carry a dozen battery for it)
hey its spacenautica

The playtest was in April, the release to EA was on the 10th (not a couple of weeks)?
There is a fish in an air duct that looks very familiar.
The 70 second O2 system in the suits is the stupidest thing in video games.

If you are going to copy something, you might as well copy the best. I am super impressed with the atmosphere of this game so far. Or lack thereof?
SPEAKING OF BREATH EDGE.... You stopped just before the good part! :P
I KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO SAY THAT!!

Definitely build the auto miner, it attaches to the base
A very, very chill game :D
those spindles scan them and use your scaner as a sonar it will till you what the rocks are.
Oh no.... I thought I already watched you play this. Who did I watch? lol, don't do drugs kids. At least now I get to watch it again.
More please.
and it was a sea glide you where thinking about

Looking for coal, but flies and looks in opposite direction every time he gets near it. . . .
Go sparingly on the copper it runs put at least close to your base and the asteroids too
I bought this after watching your video and you need to go back to 45:59 and go in the door that says door in front of it.
Subnautica in space?! Hmmmm...
thanks alot spanj yet another game you suck me in too!
Basically Breathedge, minus silliness, plus buy new hardware... 😆

nickel looks alot like a big space potato to me
First!
Actually, you were second.
