Given Mike's respectful manner, he was blessed to be able to use what I have been taught: the definition of luck is the intersection between preparation and opportunity. Wonderful work ethic, as well.
Think Mike and the mechanic's are probably the most underrated group of their time ,just a class act

not many of there great songs were played on radio they was underated
Here in São Paulo / Brazil I can hear quite often some M&M songs on my favorite radio station when I'm listening in the car.

This should have been a bigger hit. It isn’t their best but it’s catchy, well-sung by Paul and sounds like it had chart potential. Same goes for A Time and Place.

ActualNose i dont really have a favourite. Along with this and A Time and Place, Word Of Mouth would be one , maybe Get Up? So theres like 4 or 5 tbh
This song is a really great pop song. It's got all the right ingrediants. Why the record company did'nt push it I'll never know. I'm from New York and Florida but I first heard the song in London and thought it was brilliant.

I guess they had to find something for him to do in the video, as he was in the band but didn’t sing this one. And Mike couldnt play guitar and bass at once.
Paul Young played bass in other songs, while Paul Carrack was singing.
Frankly the three were all so talented they could all pretty much play most instruments certainly bass, Keyboards and percussion and swap around on stage as needed.
