- On October 14th, 2022, officers responded to a retail theft, and the store owner showed the CCTV footage of the incident to them. Later, on October 30th, 2022, officers were able track her down and arrest her. The woman continued to struggle and resist the officers. She wasn’t ready to admit to committing theft. The woman kept pleading that she didn't want to go to jail. The female was charged with larceny, resisting arrest and violation of probation.

when it comes to these videos and trying to figure out why the people are doing what they're doing, I always try to remind myself that they likely have mental illness, drug/alcohol problems, and/or they're in a really bad financial situation. Frequently it's all three at once. I'm a former felony probation officer and these people just don't think like you and I do. They get themselves into stupid situations, and just panic because they haven't thought anything through and just sort of seem to think they'll never get caught, no matter who often they get caught. Note: I'm not talking about average people who did one dumb think that landed them on probation. I'm talking about the people who are in and out of jail and on and off probation for most of their lives. They just don't think like a reasonable person would, unless they finally get professional help and actually try to do better

Actually, delirium tremens (alcohol withdrawal) can kill you. It is highly recommended that alcoholics NOT quit cold turkey for precisely this reason, but instead go to rehab centers where their bodies can be weaned off of alcohol with medication.

Where I live, there is one food bank within a 20 mile radius that's open for 2 hours every other Tuesday, BUT you need a valid photo ID and 2 proofs of address that show you reside within the county. The closest soup kitchen is over 30 miles away and unless you have a car or someone to give you a ride to Walmart 11 miles away, there is only one grocery store that absolutely robs its customers with insane prices. Food stamps help for sure...but if you're actually on the street homeless, buying in bulk isn't a possibility unless you wanna get robbed, and you can't buy anything that needs cooked or refrigerated....so you can only get convenience type foods, which are priced insanely high due to inflation and corporate profits.

Back in the 1960's you could ask almost any 10 year old boy what he wanted to be when he grows up, and he would have said a police officer! I doubt that today you would find even ten 10 year old boys who would give you that answer, and this is a prime example of why the change took place. No respect for the law anymore, and the risk of harm to police officers in just doing their job has increased 100 fold.
